Disorganized is an understatement. I am not one to do this…read morebut I feel it is important to share - since I asked a week ago for some resolution and still have not heard back from this company. I planned a biking wine tour for my sister's Bachelorette and all seemed to be fine up to when we officially booked with Carrie. I made sure to reserve the date months in advance because I knew they would get busy...and boy was I right. After I booked if I had a simple question like - "can the shuttle pick us up at our cottages" or "what wineries are we going to?" it would go unanswered for weeks where no one would get back to me (by phone or email). Obviously that was a red flag...Carrie was no where to be found...so in steps Karen. I finally get Karen on the phone and she tried to make things right - however it soon became apparent that this company was drowning and chaotic. Despite me providing our shuttle pick up location in multiple emails - our driver still went to the wrong location and we had to wait 40 minutes on the side of the road to be picked up. Upon arrival Karen greeted us and made sure to point me out as being "stressed and - not to worry the planning part was over!"- as if I had been overly worried that things weren't organized....BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT. She was very condescending in a backhanded way, that did not go unnoticed by the group. From there we had two flat tires that we discovered within minutes of riding to the first winery. A pump was brought out to us but only once we had made it to the second destination. There were 3 wineries total... could have been more.... After the tour we arrived back at the NWT bike drop off and our shuttle was not there. So we waited...OVER AN HOUR for one to arrive. In the meantime - we discovered that there were purchased bottles of wine that were not picked up (which is advertised as one of the cool benefits of a bike tour). So in an effort to save face - Karen ran across the street to buy us a big bottle of wine - a nice gesture to be served in 5 plastic cups (there are 12 of us in my group). Which brings me to the final cherry on top of this horrible experience: when a shuttle finally arrives - its a 6 seater van! Luckily shortly after another van arrived but it seemed to be a total fluke as Karen had no idea. Half of us went in one and the other half had to go drive back to the winery to get the wine that was missed. Total let down!

I do wish I would have worn boots as some sections were muddy. There were a few stands that sold snacks and hot chocolate. We did also go to the inside part. It was very small but the train was nice. I would love to see RBG in warmer months!

We went when the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom but it was a tad bit early for the other floral arrangements to bloom in their outdoor gardens so it still felt winter-like. We started at one location early in the morning with the Arboretum. That's where you pay $25 to drive your vehicle in. Parking is ample early in the morning but when we left an hour or two later, there was a conga line of vehicles waiting to get in. So, yes you have to be there at least at around 8 AM if you don't want to wait in line or find parking. Parking is free at the main RBG region with their inside greenhouse region plus their outside garden. What I didn't like was that you had to drive out afterwards to go to the Rock Garden where you had to show your tickets again for entrance. Parking was still free though. So, overall, a lot of driving from one location to another (at least three) and a lot of walking. If you want to bring slow-walking seniors, good luck. It's beautiful scenery but a lot of walking involved.
