If you plan to spend some time in Orangeville or the surrounding area, make sure to stop by the Visitor Info Centre. Look for the giant metal praying mantis sculpture in the front.
The inside of the centre is small, clean and bright with modern decor. A strong aircon and a large, clean washroom makes it a good pit stop as well if you're travelling from afar. They have brochures and maps; they sell theatre tickets, and showcase local art which are up for sale. If you are visiting Orangeville to see The Art Walk of Tree Sculptures, make sure to look for "The Moose" sculpture by Richard Hevesi in the lobby.
Shout out to Jill who manned the centre all by herself on Canada Day. She was eager to share her knowledge of Orangeville, as well as offer up many helpful tips for tourists like us. read more
