Zero stars not allowed…read more I was with Gallagher about 4 years and I had a couple of good nurses (any my last nurse was fantastic) but the administration and management is awful. Horrible. 1) they sent a substitute nurse to my home who stole medication from me. They did nothing about it because she immediately went out of town so her drug screen would be clean. She still works there so if someone named Mic***** comes to your house, lock up your meds and possibly your valuables. 2) I was admitted to hospital for an infection. When I was being discharged, Gallagher outright lied to the hospital by saying I was non compliant after signing a "contract" (that they refused to give me a copy of) less than a week before. I had been totally compliant with everything my DOCTORS AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTITIONERS told me to do and not do for the entire 4 years and I had stayed completely non weight bearing for nearly a month. They left me possibly without vital home care because they did not want to admit to the hospital they were too short staffed. I do not recommend them for anyone. Some of the nurses are great, some are terrible. Most are just competent. The supervisors and management vary from don't give a damn to actively evil. Zero stars would be my preference but you can't do that here.

They are definitely extremely understaffed. He had 3 bad falls, 3 trips to the ER, and ended up with a severe subdural hematoma. After consulting several medical professionals, we were advised to move him to hospice. While in hospice, (at Canterbury Place), he got the care he so desperately needed and definitely did not get at Juniper Village. We simply couldn't risk a 4th fall or a 5th! In fact, no one could ever explain what actually happened. During his stay, we were told by several staff members on multiple occasions that my dad was very aggressive, extremely disruptive at meal time, and in general, a very difficult resident. However, Lisa, the director, described him as friendly, engaged, and building bonds with other residents in the community! My dad was a very angry man. I can't see him building bonds with anyone! Also, due to some false / fabricated information, my mom and I were banned from the home to visit him! Banned! Can you imagine? We will never know what that did to my father! He passed away peacefully back in August. I would never recommend that facility. I get chills up and down my spine whenever I'm in Monroeville. It all comes back to me!

I spent hours and several calls trying to get these supplies. I did everything but go into their system and order the supplies myself. After 3.5 weeks of trying to get the supplies and being told my case had been escalated, I had to throw in the towel and cancel everything. from wrong pricing, to reliance on overseas call centers, to being hung up on by frustrated customer service that didn't want to deal with my account , to lack of communication to finally a call with management who still couldn't tell me if and when I would ever get my stuff shipped. I finally gave up. I will be sending a detailed letter to upmc begging them never to refer someone here,

For the past months we have been trying to secure a portable oxygen consentrator for our elderly father so that he was not "trapped" in his home. We basically were sent on a wild goose chase securing a physician order and completing other paperwork in coordination with the physician office. Apria never followed up with a phone call to keep us posted on hoops we needed to jump through during this process; just silence until we initiated another call asking why the order hadn't been filled. We finally had secured everything, of the ever changing requests and were told it would take 30 days for processing and then they would bring the portable concentrator. Once again, not hearing back from them we called and were told that they don't have any portable concentrators and would not be getting any in the future. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told "they will just tell you the same thing." So in essence, we have wasted the past 3 months trying to secure this portable concentrator so that our elderly father could enjoy a bit of life outside of his apartment walls. This is a travisty! They lack passion and compassion for people at risk.
