Hendrick hospital owns about everything now as of last year but Not Generations home healthcare. What we loved about Generations services: 1. Prompt and courteous! 2. Professional. 3. Keep their appointments!! 4. From the nurses aid, LVN, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Social worker and Registered Nurse - All were experienced, great bedside manners, showed a real concern for my spouses recovery and my questions as well. I never felt uncomfortable with my silly questions. 5. Office staff, especially Amanda M., alleviated all of our anxieties about insurance, care, etc. 6. They are tricare Military certified and recently tricare full participators. Awesome for us military retirees (and active duty). Cons: Hendricks healthcare 'system' NEW MONOPOLY created a situation where we didn't know we had a CHOICE. Hendricks health bought out the other hospital in Abilene as well as Brownwood hospital. They own their own home health care agency and if you don't ask, that's who you get. Just sayin'.

The day before they let me go, that caregiver and the manager were making jokes about my deafness, I am deaf not blind! When I see someone laughing at my expense, it's hurtful! But before i left they were on and off the phone all day gossiping about another caregiver that was terminated for theft of a client. So I filled that caregivers position the next day, from 7AM to 3PM. At 7:45AM a caregiver told me someone was on their way to relieve me and I was not asked, I was told to leave that client's apt# and go to another client's home for service from 9AM to 5PM. I explained that beings I knew I was finished at 3PM I made plans with my daughter at 4PM and wasn't able to work for the other client. So they scheduled me anyway, and then called me back and said they were sending another caregiver to relieve me and I would be on call for the office beings the Manager was going to be in and out all day. I get a call from the manager close to 3PM saying they're terminated me because I left early. I left at 4:55PM, I asked if the manager or the other scheduling coordinator/ caregiver needed anything else before I left, they said no and the manager said I will see you Monday. I said ok I'll call if I have any questions, the manager said ok, have a good weekend. Do not trust them, you can not take them at their word. And making fun of someone's disability is disgusting!

I got accepted and went thru orientation and had only 2 days of work. I drove over 300 miles in 2 days with a client to help the client. I waited around and I received no schedule because" I wasn't willing to travel" their words end quote. Long story short.. I NEVER RECEIVED MY PAYCHECK!!!!! I'm very upset someone(s) dropped the ball on me. So tired of these type of companies who want ppl to work yet they won't pay you!!!!! I would not recommend this place or their hospice to work for, you may not get paid or promised what it says on their Indeed posting.
