This review is for the Jax Ale Trail only. I have to say, I was really impressed with how well the Jax Ale Trail is run! The program is well-explained on the website, and the brewery passport is well laid out, informative with a full listing of the participating breweries as well as a map! I also liked that every brewery was great in knowing about the passport, the stamps, and could answer questions and even referred to other breweries nearby! You have to love true community support like that! You can obtain the brewery passport at any of the participating breweries and then get it stamped at every brewery you visit. Once you obtain 8 stamps you can claim a special t-shirt for the Ale Trail. You can claim your shirt at the Visitor Ctr (located dwntwn JAX) or by mail (instructions for mailing are in the passport and on the website). I was able to chat in via the website to confirm hours and location and that a tshirt was available for me to pickup at the VC. They even mentioned that they were having an Art Walk the same day, if I'd be interested in participating. Once I arrived, they were super nice, quick, and helpful w/my passport redemption for the shirt! I even got some extra goodies for doing 12 of the 22 breweries. If you are a beer enthusiast or just looking for something fun to do in JAX, I highly recommend doing the Ale Trail! All of the breweries are great (several next to each other in downtown area), and all had good beers (and food at the ones that offered pub fare).

Funny how when you live somewhere you don't necessarily stop into your local city visitor center. We went it to redeem the Ale Trail Passport for the t-shirt, koozie and bottle opener key chain. Cool thing about redeeming the passport- they just mark off what you received and give it back to you to continue to work to completion! Extra cool were the ladies working, we chatted for a bit about beer, drinks, food. The fact that we actively explore our area. Our favorite places for various things. AND~ that we had a visit Jax app and you can sign up for coupons on the visit Jax website- like a coupon passport for various local restaurant, shops and activities. So many businesses! Perfection. I recommended that they do a distillery trail version! Include some outlying ones in Nassau and St Johns counties. Because I want a distillery trail t-shirt please!!! Shop local people and if you haven't popped into the Visit Jacksonville office- do so when you finish your Ale Trail Passport!

St Augustine Visitor Information Center - Love seeing displays like this! You can really imagine what life was life by their clothing and other artifacts and a portion of the boat!

They also have an awesome Gift Shop so be sure to pick up something on the way out. We were getting information; but, we also were taking refuge from the heat, humidity, and the badly needed rains. The visitor's information center also was very conveniently located near our hotel. An A+ plus experience.

After finding parking nearby we walked a few blocks and arrived briefly. The information center is situated in a well preserved historic building with beautiful hardwood floors and fine wooden benches. The information center agent was thorough and knowledgeable as she guided us through the area map and referred us to other available resources online. There is also a small museum situated directly behind the main front desk. The open exhibition is available to the public that displays historic artifacts, background of the founders of at Augustine as well as a model display of the "San Pelayo". We ended up using the knowledge gained here to plan a walking route tho out the historic city which our family enjoyed. We had a great time stopping here and would highly recommend to anyone checking out the area.

I'll start out by saying that this is 4 stars because of the staff, not the ship. We had a…read morefantastic cruise to Bahamas recently. We splurged on a balcony and were upgraded to an extended balcony. The room was bigger and we very much enjoyed the extra room and really took advantage of it. I didn't take pics but the bathroom was huge compared to a regular room. There was a seating area with a couch that we used for suitcases and dressing area. There was a small table with two comfortable arm chairs, a firm yet cozy, queen sized bed and more closets and storage than we needed. The cozy warm pajamas we brought were great so we never needed the fluffy robes provided with the room. The staff really were the stand outs. Virtually anything we asked for we were given. There are so many fantastic opportunities on board for fun, it's difficult to do them all. We most enjoyed the singing duo Thalia and Mike while sitting in the atrium bar. Check them out on the web. We enjoyed all the meals with the stand out being the Chef's Table experience. Really was expertly organized, with the meal so fantastic, it surpasses my ability to put into words. The chef and his staff were absolutely stellar. There were hits and slight misses for us, but overall, a meal to remember. The pork belly may have been my favorite course. The entire experience far surpassed the extra cost. Looking back, I've spent much more for far less. Just seeing all the chefs and staff needed to orchestrate one very special night for their guests and their sincere willingness to knock your socks off will be something I'll never forget. The room service breakfast sandwich was also memorable. I've never ever. EVER. had so much bacon on a sandwich. The egg was herby, fluffy and flavorful. Enough sandwich for two! The Szechuan shrimp from the main dining room was probably our favorite dish / meal outside of the chef's table experience. I had ordered the lamb bolognese, which was a standout on its own, but that shrimp! Really for a meal prepared for so many people at once, never did I think my plate was ordinary. . Our steward was absolutely fantastic and went far above and beyond making this trip extraordinary. Elation is not without her downfalls. She has ONE small pool and it's very sad. She's rusty and WAY overdue for drydock but for the value it hits the mark and the staff made it a VERY memorable trip.
