10/10/25 visited to pick out my frames and order my new glasses. Donna was incredibly helpful and suggestive in helping me make my decisions. I have never requested or thought I needed a second pair but with Donna thoroughly explaining it to me I ended up getting the second pair! I asked Donna how long she had been with the company and she said 19 years! With that type of history and her fantastic customer service and sales a business needs to cherish her! KUDOS to Donna and VISIONWORKS for having her! read more

Understaffed. Only 1 employee running the frames section. Been 20 minutes and still waiting. He seems to be a nice guy but it should not take more than 20 minutes for a single consultation. At this rate it's maybe 2 customers an hour with over 4 people in line. Multiple people have walked out. read more

Ingram Park location is horrible. You want to run away it took almost a month for me to get my glasses back. I kind of blame myself because I have been going to the same location at Mockingbird Plaza for over 20 years. I stepped out of that to try Visionworks one of my coworkers had a pair of glasses that I really liked and she said she did get them at vision Work so I thought I would give it a try my mistake. The customer service there is a nightmare. I believe the lady that tended me from the beginning her name is Vera. I'm horrible with names, but that's what I remember. Anyway my prescription was not done right I explained to her I had had cataract surgery to both eyes and how much I really needed my glasses. She did not enter the right prescription. I did explain to her about my surgery that I could see farsighted and not near anyway it was wrong so I had to return the glasses which was a big struggle for me for my job for driving, etc. and also I had to save up the money again to pay for the invisible Line. I went prepared to pay for whatever I needed it in the beginning which was very disappointing. Of course. Unfortunately, when I went back to have my glasses adjusted, it was the same person to assist me in adjusting my new glasses, horrible attitude, terrible disposition, a nightmare of customer service my glasses hurt my nose. My glasses hurt the back of my ear. They're very very uncomfortable she did a very sloppy quickie job at assisting me with the adjustment so now unfortunately I have to go back. I pray to goodness that I do not ever see this person again and I will never ever go back to this place of business. I just want to get my glasses that I paid for finalized and done right that's all I'm asking for read what the doctor gave Assist the patient with what they are requiring and Service with a smile fake till you make it if you have to! read more

Fell in love with a pair of $259 glasses and asked if they had anything similar. The gentleman went through drawers underneath what was out and found me a pair for $99. Great service!! read more

Made an appointment next door and asked for an older optometrist, they agreed, arrived and gave me the graduate. He prescribed the same exact prescription and I called for a recheck within the same day, assured I would see the owner of the franchises and would be a week out. While the initial appointment started ok, the tech gave me a wipe to clean the machine myself and then when I refused, she acted like I was gross and couldn't get words out- to basically just back up so she could wipe the machine herself. She looked unkept and hungover, very unprofessional look for a doctors office and her behavior continued as such. On my re check in the lobby she apologized for making me uncomfortable but I said nothing bc she still doesn't get it. The doctor was late (other tech told me he wasn't there and still at lunch) and it wasn't the man I had requested. Totally pissed off and the guy was defensive, didn't listen to any issues from the office, suggested a new brand. Insisted he'd never heard of a person that couldn't read a shorter distance, but could read 20/30- like buddy, I didn't take time out of my day and $400 later to make this up. I asked three times if oil could leave and finally he said ok and opened the door. The glasses I ordered next door were make wrong, the woman forgot to add the focal dots and the tech just bent and bent the gasses to try and fit after twice I asked him to stop. Now the glasses are being remade. Joke of a business, receptionist unprofessional, cannot do what's asked or promised and management blowing off the issues. Never again will me or my family use this place, and we had excellent experiences in Austin for 7 years. Get what you pay for in San Antonio I guess. And the guy still didn't email my new prescription like promised so I had to call again. I mean, what did I expect. And when I called for my new rx emailed, the sent me a blank rx. read more

Visionworks at Ingram more like Neverworks at Ingram... Someone had to say it! Go to Alamo Ranch or La Cantera instead. Trust me. I called and asked about which insurances they accept and after being on hold for an unnecessary amount of time, Alison, the phone answerer, answered with a "hello how can i help you" as if I weren't just waiting for the past X amount of minutes on her. She then was able to get info that she has to call the insurance itself which was totally cool with me. I asked roughly how long it'd take to receive a call back from her and her response about 4 different times was basically "uh" or "idk" or "whenever i have time" go to literally any other location instead. This type of customer service is exactly why any Ingram business has a crap reputation. Thanks for nothing, I'll go spend my dough elsewhere‍ read more

10 stars if I could give it, again. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE !! I went in on Friday to get glasses (see previous review) and they had both pairs done and ready for pickup in 4 daaayyyssss. Fast on top of fast ! I called to check on the glasses on Thursday ? just to SEE if they might be ready - Michael, who helped me before in my previous review answered and said they weren't currently out in the trays but that they had some coming out later today and if they were mine that he would give me a call to come pick them up. I told him that I really wasn't expecting them to be ready, but that I was just HOPING. WEELLLLLLLL - later that day I was called by Evelyn (I hope I spelled it correctly) - who's phone etiquette who fantastic. informing me that both of my pairs of glasses were ready to be picked up. I was SO happy. They had my custom glasses ready in 4 days ! I came to pick them up and Shirley is who fitted them on me and who did my adjusting, she was also very friendly and kept complimenting me on the frames - they looked so good. The Thindex lenses Michael suggested that I went with are AMAZING. They took about 58% of the thickness off of my lenses allowing my frames and lenses to be flush with one another. i was nervous about the outcome simply because once you buy them, there's so re-do or return but both pairs came out perfect. They both fit great, look great. I couldn't be happier. I called and spoke to the store manger David to let him know that his staff at this location is phenomenal. Every interaction was genuine, they took their time with me, no rush on me figuring out my frames or my lenses. Thank you all again for such a fantastic experience. I complain a lot, and i am hard to please but I have nothing at all bad to say expect that I am mad that I didn't get my pair that I ordered last year from this location. read more

Make sure you do your due diligence on their "30 day money back guarantee" Do not assume this company operates in good faith. Disclaimer : 1) I was with in the 30 days. 2) I would have been happy with a check by mail. I was hit with nothing but negative blanket statements (the IRS & their systems) on why they couldn't refund me my money. Don't expect anything good to happen if they start blaming those reasons. Cut your losses. They could only send it back to the account it "came from". They took the loss and I took the loss, only person that won in that situation was the fsa company. BIG TAKE AWAY : Money Back Guarantee is not guaranteed. read more

Showed up Sunday just after opening with my glasses... they remembered me from previous day and quickly worked on the repair ( missing screw). Had a great experience, my glasses have been crooked for months now and I just couldn't get them to straighten out. I called Visionworks at Ingram to ask if they did adjustments for free and they were very nice and receptive. They answered right away. When I went I was immediately greeted and helped by two guys up front. They were more then happy to adjusted my glasses, had a great attitude, and even offered me extra options that I didn't even know about. Overall it only took a few minutes and they made great conversation the whole time. I really enjoyed my visit and would 100% go again/recommend! 10 out of 10 for attitude and service. read more

I just want to recognize the exemplary customer service provided to me by Zackary, Katy & Scott. Working with something so sensitive such as eye care is an important & hard job to do. After having a TERRIBLE experience at the Northstar Mall location that left me feeling unheard, distressed & miserable. I reluctantly went to the visionworks location 6035 NW Loop 410 San Antonio, TX 78238 United States to see if they could do anything to help me. THANKFULLY, Katy saw that I was visibly upset & in tears, Katy was extremely calming & reassuring that she would do her best to resolve the issue of my glasses, just not being right. While listening to me & giving me her full attention she was able to take measurements of my glasses & found the issue. She then brought her manager Zackary over to explain the issue with my glasses. It felt great to know that there was something wrong & they were going to fix it. Zackary was patient with me & explained things clearly & reassured me that he heard my concerns & that they would be addressed without me having to return to the previous location. I have now picked up my glasses a week later & they are 300% better. Scott was able to set my lenses in my frames correctly & polished them so they didn't look like goggles & also reassured me that there was still room for adjustments in the event that I needed any further adjustments. I have been wearing classes for 20 years & know when something doesn't feel right. I truly cannot express enough, how appreciative I am that Zackary & his spectacular team were there for me in such an amazing way. Thank you thank you thank you so much! Highly recommend going to this location only. Everyone that helped me was friendly, patient, understanding, kind, knowledgeable & prompt. 6035 NW Loop 410 San Antonio, TX 78238 United States read more

This was my first time going to Visionworks. My husband and I both needed new glasses. Our sales person, Cristina, was super helpful giving us plenty of time to browse the frames and explaining the different options and prices for lenses. They had a lot of really nice frames and we ended paying a lot less than I expected based on other places I've purchased glasses in the past. It was a great experience and we will definitely be going back in the future! read more

I have been to this Visionworks location mainly because of the convenience but due to the recent experience I had will be the last time I set foot here. I recently came to get information on contact lens pricing. The guy that helped me wasn't as much help and didn't give me enough information as the other staff did in the past. At the end he gave me a mail in rebate and didn't explain anything at at. He was not friendly nor helpful at all. I will not be retuning to this location anymore. read more

Very good experience at this location. Will bring my other family members back later this year. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They explained the differences in the glasses and helped me find a pair that worked just right. They answered all of my questions and made me feel like they actually cared about helping me get the right glasses rather than helping me out of my money. Would recommend to all. Also, this location was not crowded like the store inside of Ingram Mall. read more

The lady in the actual office looks likes she hates her life and job. Seems to me she comes it into work with a "f" everyone attitude and takes it out on the customers, very poor. You know for working front desk she has a very unfriendly and rude personality. Ironic. NOW, next door at the store, I went into get my glasses fixed. Katie A. Very bright a beautiful young lady.. however sadly she was very arrogant and for lack of a better word, stupid to me. She was asking me a double sided question, ex: she knew what I was talking about but wasn't satisfied with the way it was said.. it's a small facility, everything can be heard. So like I said just a lot of arrogance here, to me is very, very silly for trying to be a "professional" business, they are not on it at all. Scott however was a really cool guy and very helpful!! Thank you Scott for your professionalism and friendly help!! read more
