I went to pick up my contacts lenses last Friday. there were two employees at the desk, one just looked at her computer and would not acknowledge me. I asked the other employee some basic questions she told me that it was her second day in the job and couldn't help me. long story short I took my lenses out on Friday and Saturday night. I received an e-mail over the weekend about contact lenses etc. I e-mailed back saving I have blurred vision in my right eye, no response. What a horrible experience. read more

My wife and I went there few days ago and the lady at the reception was totally not interested in helping us. Her body language and facial expressions made us felt unwelcome . As soon as we walked in she said we cannot order prescription glasses that day as the optometrist was not in the office . We get that it's not her fault but she could have delivered the message politely. When She was unable to look up our insurance we called VSP customer service and connected the lady with VSP customer service . The VSP customer service representative received similar attitude. Ordered a pair of glasses and when I received them had a very hard time seeing with them. My vision was distorted and blurry. I figured that I just needed some time to adjust so I forced myself to wear them. After several weeks I took them back because I simply could not use them. I learned that the glasses were made wrong, specifically the axis was incorrect and they needed to be remade. I was told that it would be about a week. Going on three weeks later I reach out because I had not been notified that the glasses were ready. Linda said that they texted me on 08/10/22. Don't know what to say, I never got the text. I guess Visionworks doesn't know how to make outgoing phone calls? The only good thing about Visionworks is the 100 day guarantee, which allowed me to just ask for a full refund so I could forget about this whole experience. I was at this location today with my wife. When we arrived there was one worker chit chatting with someone else, this went on for 5min or so, after they left the worker then started to do inventory work or something, all the time not even acknowledging that we were in the store. During the this time, another worker returned from lunch, came in sat down and started playing on a computer while also ignoring us. This is ABSOLUTELY the worse service I have ever received. Unresponsive, confused, lack communication and general people skills. I ordered TRIAL contacts and April and after calling and getting the run around, it was clear they never ordered. I just received the trial contacts last week. All of it was from me following up. When you call, nobody can help you and they say they will call me back with no return phone call. They are clueless and don't really care. The manager was just as clueless. Been in glasses since April with no resolution to date. HIGHLY don't recommend. read more

Blair is amazing! He assisted me with my eyeglasses adjustment a few weeks ago. The glasses were not a simple adjustment; he had to take them apart and adjust, then, he took the time to adjust my ear pieces around my ears. I DID NOT PURSCHASE MY GLASSES FROM HERE. Update 2.1: The saga continues...NEVER GO TO THIS VISIONWORKS. When I asked Erin to cancel my order, I also told her to reverse the insurance claim. I went last night to purchase glasses and was told I was ineligible for a glasses claim as a result of the claim at Visionworks - which was supposed to be canceled. I called my insurance and they said the store never reversed the claim. I called Visionworks to speak with Erin, and of course she's out the rest of this week...so I am stuck without the ability to use my insurance to buy glasses until she eventually gets back. Update 2.0: Erin (new manager) offered to ship me my glasses for free, given all the issues I'd had. I asked how that was any different than just handing me the glasses in-store, since either way there was no doctor present. She didn't have an answer but later that same day, I got a text with a UPS tracking number. My glasses showed up 2 days later. They're ok...I think the measurements for my progressives are a little off but they work fine. It was a nice gesture and I appreciated the personal note in the box from Erin. We still won't be going back to Visionworks in Cumming - my son has an appointment next week with Costco. Update: I decided to give this place one more try since they take our insurance and are local. They appeared to have new management and had a new doctor, so I figured it would be ok. Since the last review, that original doctor messed up my son's prescription & then they accidentally never actually ordered my wife's glasses - it took 3 months to get hers. When I say we gave them chances, I mean it. I got their text and email that my new glassees were ready, late on a Saturday. It was snowing so I waited until they were next open, on Monday. I took an extended lunch to come in and get my glasses. They REFUSED to give them to me. I was dealing with the manager Erin R., who just slid a paper across the counter at me with some highlighted rules. They couldn't give me my glassees, which I'd paid for, because they don't staff a doctor on Mondays. None of the communications I got said that I needed to call and make sure and doctor was there. They flat out refused to give me the product I'd already paid for and totally wasted my time. I made them cancel my order and reverse the insurance claim. I will NEVER step foot in that place again. We've given them multiple chances & every order we've had for 3 years had issues. If I could give negative stars I absolutely would. read more

Unprofessional and unresponsive. 2 weeks ago, knowing my VSP coverage was going to end at the end of the month, I booked a visit for my son so he could buy frames and lenses. 2 weeks later, we still don't have a prescription that they will release and they won't refund the money I paid for this service. I highly advise that you do NOT waste your time. The staff is disengaged, unprofessional and nobody in the office seems to know the correct procedure for doing anything. DETAILS: My son explained from the time that he booked the appointment that time was of the essence since he was losing his insurance coverage at the end of the month. Dr. Moma checked his eyes, wrote a prescription, gave him trial lenses, told him to try them out. She did NOT tell him that the lenses she was giving him were not his prescription nor did the office ever order the right prescription. This caused massive confusion and delays in getting the prescription released so he could place an order. In a professional setting, I would expect the doctor to emerge from the exam and take the time to provide direction to the office staff. In this case, she should have told them to book a followup appointment and order the correct prescription for his eyes. The next week, happy with his sight, he went back to the store to get his prescription and the assistant said that he needed to book an appointment with the doctor. She shared his prescription but would not give him a copy to order lenses. He immediately noted a discrepancy between the lenses he was given and the written prescription. The assistant tried to explain this difference by saying the doctor's notes indicated that his prescription was too significant a change from the last record they had, so he had to come back for a checkup before the doctor felt confident that the prescription could be released. The story changed when he met the doctor, who informed him that they didn't have the right prescription in stock so she gave him a similar prescription that was higher and was waiting for them to order the right lenses before she would sign off on the prescription. 24 hours later, we called to see if the right lenses were in. Mackenzie said they weren't on order, but their provider was just down the road in Johns Creek, so they would take 3-4 days. A few days later, he called and was told they still hadn't been ordered and it would take at least a week. At this point, as the policy holder, I called to escalate. Mackenzie put Whitney, the supervisor, on the phone. While Whitney spent time on the phone with me and promised to call back, she didn't. She left the office and made MacKenzie call me with a very long story of how they were busy all day long. In short, no order had been placed. Another 24 hours passed and I had to call again. Whitney, who had no knowledge of where they ordered their lenses or that John's Creek was a location that stocked them, offered to drive to get them herself. Another 24 hours...nothing. Today, they had Dr. Moma call. When I told her I held her personally responsible for the lack of communication, she became defensive and argumentative, talking over me and then hanging up. At this point, I had to get in my car to personally address the incompetence and ask for a refund. Mackenzie refused to assist and was quite cocky, telling me she didn't like the way I spoke to her so she wasn't going to help me (GREAT customer service, MacKenzie. Bravo). Whitney claimed Dr. Moma had contacted corporate about her and she was fired so she couldn't help. (That's right - she was fired, but helping other customers). The only other assistant was in the back. When I made it clear I wasn't leaving without resolution, Mackenzie finally got him. He told me that it was a long process to refund money and papers would need to be filled out by Tayzia English, the General Manager (who conveniently wouldn't be in the store for another 24 hours). He also let me know I could call back in 24 hours to talk to her. During this discussion, Dr. Moma came to the front. I introduced myself and she rudely responded, "good for you" and walked away. I left the office, called customer service and was told that the regional director, Bradley Morgan, would be calling me. I don't think I will hold my breath, but I will continue to be a thorn in their side until my refund is processed. I will be going to another doctor tomorrow - one that has always demonstrated competence and ethical behavior. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE of dealing with this store. Use a skilled, professional doctor and an ethical store for your frames and contact lenses. You're a consumer with options. Visionworks will either figure this out and hire empowered, customer-facing employees or they will continue to lose market share. Save yourself the heartache. read more

Do not visit this location. They never have a doctor available, and they love telling you they can not help you with no doctor present per GA law. Seriously, hire more doctors or close. I purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses 3 years ago from Visionworks in Florida and while visiting family in the Atlanta area my glasses got jumped on by a grandson. Needing help to fix my warped frame, I stopped into this store where, although busy... was immediately recognized and asked by an employee what they could do for me. I was immediately referred to the Lab supervisor who took my glasses in back for 'surgery'. Within 10-15 ministers, I was out and on my way with my frames looking good as new and feeling comforted knowing I can drive home to Florida safely. We paid for an eye exam and never received the actual prescription allowing us to order contacts because the follow up appointment was not completed. I had a very negative experience with Visionworks. I got an eye exam and frames and the prescription was off - the doctors and technicians tried to help me get the issue sorted out but could not. After multiple trips (during my work hours) to the store, I finally returned the glasses and tried to get my benefits reinstated. That process took MONTHS - and almost half a year after my initial purchase of the glasses, I finally got my benefits reinstated by calling into my insurance myself because the staff were not able to correctly complete the process. I am very disappointed and frustrated by the amount of time I spent trying to resolve this issue. read more

I opened 2 new contacts that were torn from the package, went to get replacements and was told the prescription was expired, said they couldn't do anything. It was right at one year since I had my exam but that has nothing to do with the fact that I did not receive the contacts that I paid for. I expect contacts that are not torn ( they were Aquatech), I just wanted to get replacements not an eye exam to get what I had already paid for and did not receive! It took 4 visits to get the prescription right which was the same as the ones I had when I went in for the exam! I brought my glasses and contacts with me when I went in but I guess no one paid attention to that so I brought them in again to show what I had before they tried to change it! Avoid this place at all costs! Got fitted for contacts and paid out of pocket for the fitting (my insurance didn't cover the fitting). They refused to release my prescription. They told me I would have to attend a follow-up appointment for my prescription. I have been wearing contacts lens 10+ years and have always received my prescription at the end of an appointment. I told them I wanted to order my usual contacts online and the follow-up was a waste of my time and an inconvenience (especially with COVID). They still refused. I asked for a refund for what I paid out of pocket since they are refusing to release my prescription. They told me to take it up with my insurance. I am going to make a formal complaint against the Optometrist with the Federal Trades Commission for violating the Contacts Lens Rule. A follow-up appointment is not medically necessary when I have been wearing the same contacts for years especially during a pandemic. These people are frauds with no consideration to their customer's time. read more

I went to Visionworks for my annual eye exam because of the convenience of scheduling online, and they are in-network with my vision insurance. I have been visiting Lenscrafter for five years, and this is my first time going to this store. When I arrived at the store, the woman at the front desk was very attentive during the check-in process. Throughout the eye exam procedure, the doctor and her assistant were informative on every step. The reason why I am giving this low rating is that I was disappointed with the check-out process. I would have saved my time if the doctor or the staff were paying attention to someone who has finished the eye exam. After the tests, I was NOT given instructions what to do next. I was waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting for instructions. Then, when the doctor's assistant passed by, I asked her questions about my contact lens. She told me to ask the doctor about it. So, I waited for another 20 minutes since the doctor was busy talking to one of the staff. Then after that, I asked the doctor my questions. That's also when she told me that I need to set up another appointment. I need to try the contact lens for a week then come back so they can order it. After this conversation, the assistant realized that I did not go through the check-out process yet, so she directed me to one of the staff and this is when I was able to check-out. It has been two days since my visit, and I just realized that neither the doctor nor her assistant never told me the result of the visual field test or any other tests, except that my prescription changed. After this experience at this store, I will probably choose another store for my eye exam next year. read more

Happy with the service and pricing. My child broke his glasses (again) and I needed new lenses put into an existing frame (an older frame that I had bought elsewhere a year or two ago). My child had a prescription that was less than a year old (also completed elsewhere). They were able to put in new high quality lenses in less than an hour without an appointment! I had bought a pair of glasses from Visionworks a few years ago and had a problem with one of the arms on my frames getting bent and was not able to fix myself. Lakeesha was able to fix them for me. Kind of a hot mess. I made appt for Saturday, first mistake. I showed up on time for appt of 10:30 and already was told they were over an hour behind. I said why didn't someone call me to tell me? that would have been most appropriate and usefull of my time. I ran a couple of unessarsary errands to occupy my time and came back. It just didn't seem like a professional atomosphere like I have visited at other vision places and Ive worn contacts and glasses for 20 years.
