Very pleased with my experience at VisionWorks. Exam went well and I was able to find a pair of glasses I really like.

I had an appointment at this location and arrived five minutes early. Upon entering, both staff members were helping customers, so we began browsing the frames. We were promptly greeted and asked if we had an appointment, which we confirmed. We were told someone would assist us as soon as they finished with their current customers. Unfortunately, that's where the good service ended. Customers who walked in after us--without an appointment--were greeted, asked if they needed help, and then assisted immediately once a staff member became available. Meanwhile, no one asked our names, checked us in, or acknowledged that we were waiting. We simply stood there, unaddressed, while the staff helped people who arrived after us. About ten minutes went by with no update or acknowledgment. When the staff member finished with her customer, she immediately began helping the walk-ins, completely bypassing us. Only after those customers finished--roughly 12 minutes later--did she finally turn to us. At that point, she clearly realized the mistake, even turning noticeably red, but still offered no apology or recognition that we had been overlooked. With so many optical options within a one-mile radius, it's surprising that the importance of basic customer service isn't better understood here. Simply checking us in or acknowledging the oversight would have made a world of difference. This experience left a disappointing impression, and I hope the staff takes steps to improve how they manage and prioritize scheduled appointments. read more

Probably my last visit here. Slowwwwww, bad customer service, bad quality. The only positive would be the optometrist. He is good, patient and friendly. Ordered glasses for my son.. waited nearly an hour after my scheduled appointment time to be called in for the eye exam. The pricing is never black and white for the upgrades. I point at "package/bundle" like blue light filtering etc. they say it's misleading. But they don't show anything in writing.. it's what they say.. ok what ever. I ended up paying more 100 bucks extra over my fully covered for basic glasses by my insurance. Ok... It took nearly a month before I received the glasses. Finally.. we went there again after a long wait the guy throws the glasses at us and walks away. There was some noticeable paint chips/peeling.. when asked he replied I can't do anything about it. Eventually he says he will send it back and I had to wait 10-15 business days.. WTF?? read more

Extreme hassle to get correct contact lense prescription. Prescription was written for the wrong brand contact lenses

My rating is for this specific store and the lab that makes the glasses. Vision works has a nice selection of glasses and I found a couple pairs that I liked. Wait times can be long if you don't go early in the morning. Ordering glasses was easy and the staff member who helped me was patient and friendly. They said it'd be 2 weeks for my glasses to arrive. Almost three weeks later, there were no glasses. The email with my order status no longer even had an estimated delivery date. I called visonworks customer service to see what's going on, and they said both pairs were at the store. But I never got a text or call or anything. Customer service tried to connect me with the store, and nobody answers. Customer service says they'll send a message to the store to call me. I of course do not get a call. So I try calling the store later and I'm on hold for quite awhile before I have to hang up to attend to something else. So I decide to go there. I get there and explain, and the dude seems annoyed with me - not sure why, I wasn't even all that frustrated. Yet. He says only one pair are in, which is annoying but fine whatever. Doesn't explain why I never got a text or call about it though. He puts the glasses on the desk and walks away, and doesn't even check the fit like literally every other place I've gotten glasses does. He looks into what's going on with my other glasses and the computer doesn't say. The manager comes out to help. She says they'll send a message to the lab to see what the hold up is. She assures me that I will get a call every day going forward from the store, even if it's just to say that the lab didn't get back to them. I really appreciate that. She promised me that the guy working with me that day will call me the next day, even if they haven't gotten an update from the lab. Then I never get a call the entire next day. Not sure why I expected anything else at this point. So the day after that, I cancel the glasses I haven't received and return the glasses I received. At this point, it's been over three weeks, and I don't feel like doing any business with visonworks, especially this location. I give two stars (instead of one) because I do believe the manager was trying to be helpful, most of the rest of the staff was friendly, and because visonworks has a pretty friendly return policy. read more

I understand the situation in the world with everyone being short staffed and people don't want to work. I had an appointment a week ago and was referred to eye doctor. I came in today 10/27/21 to have my stuff sent yo a different eye doctor and remind you I wasn't wearing a mask during my last appointment and I am vaccinated. I was stopped told to put a mask on. And I was given a remark that "I wasn't working last week and there's a sign on the door" HORRIBLE customer service. Do not recommend this place. read more

My husband went to visionworks feb now march 18 each time went to pick up glasses he could not see through them. They kept redoing them 3 times same thing asked for a refund we could not accept the glasses. Tried to go somewhere else but they did not stop the billing through the insurance. We paid 800 dollars out of pocket with insurance said 30 days have to mail us a check. He cannot get another eye exam because visionworks or should i say vision worst has not stopped the billing .Stay away they dont know what they are doing. read more

I wish there was an option for negative stars. The staff at this location lacks basic customer service skills. I arrived three minutes late to my appointment and was told I could not be seen. There is no business that I have ever been to where this short delay would have caused an appointment to be canceled. The lady was very rude when she said this to me. I hate to say it could have been racially motivated, but it sure did seem that way. My recommendation would be to offer additional training to your employees. It is clear in looking at the multiple reviews on this platform that people are not happy with their experiences here. I am not sure if this review will make a difference, because it seems like the multiple posts like it have not corrected the issue, but maybe if it's read by the right person on the right platform... because there are plenty I plan to share this with, change will happen. read more

They super SUPER slow. Every time I've gone in I've had to wait and wait....and wait. Even when I have an appointment I've waited over an hour before being seen. The staff are both argumentative and unhelpful. They are unable to enter your vision insurance correctly, getting a difference result each time they do it. They claimed my son's contacts would be covered but when I went back to order them after the trial period they said that nothing was covered. When I got annoyed at this they tried to argue with me instead of being helpful. I will never go back there again. read more

This Vision /optometrist office is truly the best! They have very nice personnel who don't bother you too much, but are there the moment that you want or need help! When we were finally ready; then without any pressure, this employee name Kimberlin really helped me an awful lot today! She is knowledgeable and very helpful. She helped me choose and was totally honest with me! I truly appreciated the patience shown to me because I just couldn't make up my mind! She knew the prices and insurance and she was awesome the entire time! I'm definitely going back and they even have a "buy one and get one 1/2 off"! Sooooo I at first gave them a #5 for a review. BUT THEY advertise that if not satisfied you get a FULL REFUND. Well the girl made the progressive line way up so high that I had to look over to see normal. I've been wearing progressives for 10+ years! It wasn't me! They were bigger than any lenses I've ever worn so it shouldn't have been a problem! Sooo it's been 2 weeks because we returned the glasses within an hour. We called and even though they say "full refund etc., they're saying it's going to take a month longer!! Do 6 weeks until I am allowed to use my insurance again! I'm so upset! They didn't even process it for several days because they wanted to hold onto our money. We are not happy. I need new glasses because my prescription changed. But my appt was back in January! Now I can't even look again until April! This is not a happy customer! Very slow, insanely slow. Doctor does not know what he's doing. Eye exams take 20-30 mins (40-45 tops if there are any difficulties. He took well over an hour and 15, PLUS he wanted to see a old glasses for the prescription. (He "guessed wrong" and gave me the wrong initial results, and decided to go with what my previous prescription was....which means that whole hour plus of my time was wasted.) Don't waste your time. Go to a better doctor; shouldn't be hard to find. There's a Pearle Vision right down the road. read more

My wife and I stopped in today to have both of our kids eyes examined. Everyone was incredibly friendly. I mean, really, really nice people. The optometrist was very clear with everything he was doing. Most of all, he spoke to our kids directly. Instead of only speaking to the adults in the room, he explained what he was doing, as he performed the eye exam, right to my kids. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I've never had a good experience here. I've been 3 times over a period of 2 years. The first time they rang up my purchase under someone else's account using their insurance despite me having my insurance card ready. Luckily I caught it and they were able to fix it. I gave it a pass since everyone makes mistakes. The second time, the doctor altered my prescription which led to blurry vision for a few weeks. I asked to switch my prescription back to the previous one and the people I talked to up front couldn't understand what I meant. They kept refusing to relay my message to the doctor (3 different times with 3 different people), so finally I made another appoint with her. She was shocked that I had made an appointment for something so simple. Total waste of both of our time. The last time was when I had out of town guests visiting and they ripped their only pair of contacts. They had their up to date prescription and so we tried to go and buy a pair of lenses from this store. One receptionist was helping a couple and the other one was trying on glasses (during COVID which seems unsanitary). After a few minutes she finally came over, literally looked us up and down, and didn't even let us finish what we were asking before she told us that she wouldn't help us unless we had gotten our prescription from that specific location (didn't even matter if it was a vision works prescription). That was the final straw, never again. There are too many other smaller vision stores that are actually helpful to waste my time here. Try Picard Family Optical in Plymouth or Eye Definition off Canton Center instead. They have both been nice and helpful in the past, unlike this location. read more
