Approx two weeks ago I submitted an order for two pairs of glasses to be changed into prescription. I received a call from the sales clerk just about two weeks after which was great ! However, she was calling to let me know they couldn't do the glasses apparently something to do with the frames. I said no problem I'll be in for a refund. This evening I came to pick up my glasses that I dropped off for them to change into prescription glasses and to get a refund. They were very helpful and giving me my refund. The problem started when they couldn't return my glasses. Apparently the company that creates the prescription sent back the wrong lenses , therefore now I'm stuck with paying for a pair of glasses that I can't return because they sent the wrong lenses back? The young lady seem very helpful, but didn't seem very knowledgeable on what she couldn't could not do very disappointed after spending $750 for two pairs of glasses It's really not the money it's the lack of returning the glasses. I had given them to change into prescription I do not recommend this location I suggest you go to somebody that has more experience and is qualified in this field. read more

I've ordered glasses from this location about 3 times. Each time there are new people there and each time they are all very pushy and rude. They have completely turned me off and my family and I will no longer support this company. We will take our business to Costco from here on out.. read more

I visited to browse for new frames. Every pair I tried on were covered with the most smudges, and this was soon after they opened for the day. The employee that greeted me upon entry could have looked up what my insurance provider or the store was offering in terms of specials, but instead preferred to talk about the zoo with her coworkers instead. I had to literally walk right up to their face to get any attention. I'm more dissapointed about all the dirty frames though. read more

Very helpful staff, made sure people were wearing masks and took temps. Good selection of glasses and options to choose from. Pretty fast turnaround and they were easy to custom fit when I went to pick them up. read more

So I usually go to the Plano location but my doctor moved to the Allen one. I had an appointment scheduled for 4:40 and I ended up walking out around 5:15. They didn't even notice me lol. I just signed something when I walked in then they blew air in my eyes and I was ignored the rest of the time. The girls that were at the front desk were not professional one was dressed like she just walked out of bed hair mangled to be honest she looked dirty. The girls at the Plano office were always so well kept, talked to me and were sweet! This location was disappointing and even tho I love Dr, Neiderkorn, I will have to look for a new eye doctor. Which sucks bc I've been seeing him since I was 9! read more

So have had my sunglass eye prescriptions filled here since 2016-4 pair total. I have bought 1 pr from them & 3 pairs were my own frames. The lab broke 1 of my Designer frames while taking the lenses out, or so they said. They let me lick out a new frame no charge. I got all 4 back & all was ok until about 12 months in on the 1 pr of Bebe frames with lenses. The frame broke and I personally glued the decorative piece back on the temple but the lenses developed tiny lined round spots on both but particularly on the left lense. It has been maddening to look thru. I took in & complained & 1 of the employees told me that I might be developing halos & to go to my eye dr. I went & found out that this is most likely a failed coating problem & then read about this online. And it totally described my same problem. So just went back to Visionworks/Fairview and spoke with General Mgr. & he would do nothing for me! Claims I dropped and scratched the lenses and since out of warranty there is no recourse on the co. 's part. Even suggested this could be hairspray or heat from leaving in car but these spots are perfect circles, not scratches. Who, not me, sprays hairspray with sunglasses on??? Very dissalpintedx that he would take this stance with a good customer! Companies today not backing up their product and work is the easy way out! I will not be back! read more

The gentleman who helped us was very nice and informative. He walked us through everything we needed to do and all the options we had for the deal that we had come in for. He was very polite and professional, and he made everything extremely easy and simple. I got exactly what I wanted without him trying to hard to upsell us on more expensive options. read more

From here on out this is the only place I will go for new glasses. Everyone here greeted me with a smile. Service was fast. They have an amazing display of frames to choose from. Prices are very reasonable. Love that there is a lot of space to move around as I was trying on the different frames. I definitely recommend. read more

For many years I and my family have been buying glasses at the Allen Vision works location. The quality of your customer service is unparalleled . We come a long distance to just have Joann work with me and my family, as I mentioned many years. Her knowledge and working with us I cannot tell you how important she is to your organization. Every step of the way Joann explained basically every process of the transaction. She has shown extreme patience with my family. We have waited many times to be waited on by Joann and would not let anyone else in your store deal with us. Thank you for impressing us with the fact that in today's day in age that Customer Service does exist and does so at Vision works Allen. read more

I have been using this place for about five years now, sometimes they can get pretty busy and you have wait but I had an issue with my new glasses so I went back to my Dr and he made some adjustments to my prescription. I took my new glasses back to Visonworks and they made up my glasses again at no charge! I would highly recommend this place!! read more

I went to this location to purchase glasses( I had already had my eye exam 2 months prior and gotten contacts ). I picked out 4 or 5 frames to try on and select from to alternate with my current Coach frames. The representative took out a pen and paper, and then asked if I would be getting them all or 2? I said "No, just one." So then she asked " Will it be based off price?" I then told her "No, it depends on how they look on me." So after I picked out the ones that made me smile, she wrote down the cost of all of the add ons plus the fees, frame, etc then asked me if I would still like to get them, with a raised eyebrow. It was extremely insulting considering that I was well put together and the frames I was wearing were over $400 just for the frames; then I figured it was because I was black. She profiled me in all the wrong ways and I noticed. I fell in love with these $300 glasses( I guess those were the most expensive they had) otherwise, I would've left when she questioned if I had the money to buy them. Disgusting. read more

Nice store. Woefully understaffed especially on weekends. They are friendly enough but when you go there Plan on waiting awhile.

Connie at Visionworks was absolutely wonderful! I had so many problems trying to fit into a pair of glasses that would work for me. From changing prescriptions and changing two different lenses, I had to return several times and she was so willing to do what it took to get the pair that would fit me perfectly. In the end, nothing worked and she gave me a partial refund. Thank you Connie at Visionworks for working with me. read more

I went to this store during the week and ordered a pair of glasses. The salesperson was very professional, helpful and nice (the reason for 3 stars) . The store was semi-busy. I was told to come back in 10 days to pick up my new glasses. The date fell on Sunday, today. There were two salespersons and the store was not busy, two customers beside me. I was told to sit down and they would get to me. After 15 min, I was told there were two people ahead of me. However, one couple came into the store and sat down and the other salesperson helped them. After another 20 min, I left. I'll go back during the week to pick up my glasses. Weekend salespersons seem to be overwhelmed, even when they aren't busy. read more

Visionworks will not honor your insurance plan. They charge you higher prices than your insurance plan shows you they will charge. I first went to their store in McKinney. I was quoted 571.00 for glasses when it should have been less than 100. We finally got it down to 175. I went to their other store in Allen TX. Store #128. They charged me 175.00 for glasses that were only supposed to cost me 65 for the transition lenses. Within one hour I called the store back to cancel my order but they refused to cancel the order. The paperwork promises a money back guarantee. I will try to get my money refunded. read more

The customer service I received from Connie, the General Manager, was absolutely outstanding! I had previously purchased frames from Visionworks and was needing them adjusted. Even though my frames had a few cracks in them from much wear and tear, Connie still attempted to adjust them for me. While doing so, they accidentally broke completely. Taking full responsibility, Connie told me to pick any frame I wanted and within 30 min. came out with a complimentary brand new pair for me. But Connie didn't stop there. Knowing I wanted my original frames and Visionworks no longer carried them, Connie told me she had the exact personal pair of her own that she was no longer using and wanted to donate them to me. I was stunned. Not only did she give me her own frames, on top of the complimentary pair, she also replaced my old mildly scratched lenses with brand new ones! She insisted on taking care of me. Indeed she did! Needless to say, Connie went above and beyond her call of duty. Her kindness and generosity does not go unnoticed. This has been the best customer service I have ever experienced anywhere and Visionworks should feel very fortunate to have a general manager such as Connie. Thank you so much again Connie! I will always buy my future eyeglasses from you and I highly recommend Visionworks to all. read more
