GREAT design work takes a lot of time and is almost never done properly on the first draft. If the project requires multiple skill sets, then it makes sense that you'll have multiple people helping complete the task. we've found that the price stings a little when you start, but we don't think it's a Doejo thing -- it's just the reality of stepping up into the real world of graphic design. there are plenty of options to have some random friend of a friend design something for free or for cheap, but that's not something you can build a brand on -- and not something that will be there to support your new projects as your brand grows. Doejo will give you amazing results, but they're not mind readers and not necessarily an expert in your brand's industry/field. you'll need to put in the time and effort to FULLY shape the project, get them acquainted with your brand/industry, and collaborate on adjustments to the project's direction throughout the process. These guys had an impressive site and showed up #1 on google so figured they must be good at SEO. I had an initial consultation with an account manager and was very impressed with them as a company, their process and with the account manager and her knowledge as well. I've talked to quite a few web design firms and this was the one I was planning on going with. I had a call on a Friday morning and was told I would get a quote the following Tuesday. Tuesday came and went. I waited a week before contacting them and was told sorry they will get a quote out right away. I must have followed up with them another 3-4 times and continually was told sorry we'll get one over to you. It's been about a month and never got the quote. This leads me to one of two conclusions. They are either really bad at customer service or my budget of 5k-7k wasn't worth their time. I've come to learn these many of these smaller boutique firms won't touch a build for under 20k. If thats the case thats fine but at least have the courtesy to tell me that. I was disapointed as after my consultation I was thoroughly impressd and was planning on using this company over the dozen or so others I spoke with but unfortunately was never able to get a quote. I know many people are bad at follow up once they have your money but if this is the customer service I get when you are trying to earn my business I can only imagine how bad it is once you have my money.
