So i set up an appointment, and didn't have my insurance handy. I told them clearly I wanted to use insurance and asked if I could set up as self pay, and give the insurance info later. They said yes to that. Then I got a appointment the next day due to a cancelation. I had my wife call in my insurance info and they told her that the doctor i was scheduled with would accept that. She asked if I could get innwith one that did, and THEY TOLD HER I DIDN'T WANT TO DO THAT. They had no right to say that to her without actually confirming with me, since I made clear at the beginning I did, in fact, want to use insurance. So I got there and they didn't tell me I could take my script elsewhere for less expensive service, they did not direct me to frames that might be covered or basically give me any options besides leave empty handed or buy $400 frames out of pocket. Then I left a bad review, and went into their office to complain, and also ordered contacts. I went into a back office where I was harassed by 2 women who blocked the exit, effectively called me an idiot for not understanding how their backwards practices worked and after asking to leave 3 or 4 times and nearly being in tears from a panic/anxiety attack, they finally let me go. Since when does and eye doctor have the right to hold someone aga I not their will, just because they left them a bad review? read more

VisionCare of Conway would not correct lenses that were manufactured and measured wrong because they said I was well out of their 30 guarantee. The employee admitted the measurement was incorrect only after I insisted they remeasure and check the lens with two different employees. I had A vision exam and bought two pairs of glasses from VisionCare in Conway. First pair were Ray Ban Aviators w/ transition bifocals, auto tenting sunglasses and scratch protection. They were well over $700 and were to be my primary glasses. The second pair where my own Oakley's that I had them put new lenses in for a backup pair. These lenses were over $500 with the same features. The back up Oakley's have not been worn because the Raybans were my favorite. After having some issues with comfort on the Raybans I tried wearing the Oakley's and notice the placement of the transition in the bifocals was wrong and I had to hold the glasses 1 1/4" above my nose in order to read out of them. I retuned to to Vision care in hopes they would take care of the issue. Long story short, I feel as a customer and a sales person myself, that right is right and wrong is wrong. If I had done something wrong for one of my customers, regardless time, I would fix it. One of my bosses once told me " you can win the battle, but loose the war. VisioCare has lost a repeat customer and any chance of a good recommendation! I share his with you openly in hopes you don't go through the same problems with customer care. Don't do it. Just don't. While the staff is nice enough, the policies of this place are ridiculous!!! Not to mention COMPLETELY OVERPRICED!!! I've been to several eye doctors in my life and I have NEVER heard of something so ridiculous as charging a patient 100$ to give them a paper prescription for contacts! My insurance will cover either glasses or contacts, ok that's fine, so if I say I'm going to get glasses and contacts and the Dr after the exam says I need 2.00 in each eye for the contact lenses why in the hell would you then tell me I have to pay you 100$ for you to hand me that prescription???? I'll tell you why,, GREED! I didn't want to buy from them because I always order my lenses online, so they try and play it off as " a contact fitting" FITTING MY A@*!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE!!! Go to Magie Smith Charlton Eye Clinic or anyone else but NOT VisionCare ... read more

No help if it's any kind of emergency. Very condescending staff on the phone, no help at all. Huge employee turnover. Significant Dr. turnover in the last few years as well. This is what happens when you have a "corporate" atmosphere. My wife and I were customers for several years... now we'll avoid this place like the plague! read more

Today I took my roommate back to this store. He is on Medicare & a budget. He ordered 2 pair of glasses and received the 1st pair less that a month ago. Now, he ordered "Scratch Resistant Lenses"! You pay extra for this!! Also, the tinted lenses. Again, more money! He didn't buy the insurance, as this was already over budget. In less that 2 weeks, hanging his glasses on his shirt neckline, his left lens had been scuffed. Now, he had a procedure scheduled for the same day as his 2nd pair of glasses arrived (again, NOT even 3 weeks!), so when his procedure was over, I took him, & his scuffed glasses to them. Aaron (sp) was called to take a look. Quote:"You know, when they say "scratch resistant, nothing is scratch resistant!" WTH! But, he took them into the side room to "try & remove this"! Unable to, he returned them to me, and gave me the 2nd pair. As I got back in our vehicle and started to leave, I hear my roommate yell; "What the hell! They broke!!"! I looked over, and yes, that pair of $400 frames snapped where the nose bridge attaches to the lens holder. I asked if he wanted to return, but he was hurting from the procedure. I called Aaron (sp) as soon as we got him to the house & settled. Today we both took the glasses in. Calley (sp) the supposedly manager was who dealt with us. Again, because he didn't purchase the insurance, NOTHING was going to get done! I tried to use my roommates phone to call the police, but he took it away from me. I will be contacting a lawyer to see if he can get any satisfaction as to the lens at least! I would NEVER walk through these doors for THIS business again! All they want is your money, and once it's given, you can forget ANYTHING else! read more

great service and super nice people! have not met a person yet that isn't pleasant. highly recommend!

Don't let the nice interior fool you. Plan on a three hour wait. It started with an exam and outfitting contacts that were wrong and made me feel nauseous. Instead of getting it right they made me try them a week before they would let me leave satisfied. After coming back and insisting on it being right we finally got the right prescription. The billing was awful and their computer systems are not synced. Things done by hand and they seem to work in silos, nothing integrated. After that quoted me the wrong final price, very poor communication. Selection was not great. Frames all look the same even though there are a lot nothing trendy or hip. Don't waste your time here. I won't be back. In addition they had to update my prescription to get it right. Unfortunately they didn't update the glasses and had me go home without trying them on and sure enough wrong prescription. Talking with them on the phone they couldn't keep the insurance and pricing straight. I wok repeat backs and clarify and still jr was wrong. They aRe very inefficient em and old school. read more

The doctors here are always nice and do a thorough job but that just about the only positive thing about Visioncare. The wait times are unacceptable especially since they seem to have about 20 employees on duty at all times. Their prices are outrageous and with every visit they pressure you to purchase additional, nonessential services. And lastly, the office is overtly religious and force their conservative political viewpoint on costumers. That might not be an issue for a lot of Conway residents but it's pretty offensive otherwise to have stacks of bibles, crosses and framed religious quotes hung everywhere. And having Fox News playing constantly in the waiting room is just a bad business call. read more

The office staff are very rude! This was our first time here, and our last. My husband went in the day before my son's visit and asked them if we would be charged anything at the time of visit. They said they were not sure. That's fine. I understand that it has to be ran through insurance first. We have vision insurance as well as a secondary insurance. We have not had to pay in the past at other places because both of our insurances are really good. When we went in for the visit, they told me we must pay $75 today and will be billed the rest because they only used one of our insurances. I asked them why not. They said it doesn't cover. I asked why, and she just looked st me real hateful. It has covered for years. I asked her to try it, and she refused. She was very rude, as well as two other ladies working the desk. They said that they have no note of my husband coming in there the day before. I've never heard of a vision place just refusing to try the secondary insurance, and practically calling a customer a liar. As I walked out, they were whispering and staring. read more

I have been going here for many years. But never again! After one of the employees hung up on me because she is frustrated with trying to look up my insurance. I have it, I even called the insurance company (after I had to cancel my eye appointment due to them saying they couldn't find it) and the insurance company confirmed I was good to go! I called back to try and fix the issue and the girl hung up on me.. what a disappointment this business has become. They will not receive my business anymore. read more

I am on a budget. So when I went to Visioncare in Conway for an eye exam and needed new glasses, I wanted to use my existing pair. I signed a waiver saying I wouldn't hold them responsible if they broke my glasses. The new lenses arrived and were fitted into my old frames without a problem. But when I put them on they were so strong I couldn't walk, much less read. When I indicated a problem the technician said they matched my prescription. I asked for another exam because I believed the prescription to be inaccurate. When they put my old lenses back in, they broke my frames. In a second exam the same doctor found the original prescription to be accurate. New lenses were ordered, and they generously gave me a discount on the new frames I was forced to purchase. When the new glasses arrived they were very uncomfortable. I had difficulty reading, and found myself squinting when looking across the room. I said i did not believe the prescription was correct, which I had been saying all along. The technician took them to the back and returned saying he had tested the lenses and they exactly matched the prescription the doctor had determined in both my exams. I felt I had no choice but to try to wear the glasses for a while and try to get used to them. It was the time of year I travel a great deal. For the next two months I woke up five mornings a week with a headache from eye strain. I am a researcher and on-line instructor. My eyes and head ached from trying to focus. When I finally returned from traveling it was the holidays. Upon returning I scheduled an appointment with another eye doctor. Not only was her prescription for my eyes different from the Visioncare finding, but she told me the glasses I had did not match THAT prescription. Armed with her findings I returned to Visioncare with these facts. I was alarmed not only because of the inaccurate prescription but because someone had been dishonest when saying the glasses were correctly made. The man in charge in Conway kept saying, "Well, you are free to have your opinion." I pointed out the facts and all he would say was, "That's your opinion." I wanted my money back because the glasses were not correctly made. He would not refund the full amount saying they had already given me discounts and they would lose money if he refunded the full amount. He was condescending, rude. When I got my new glasses I could see perfectly. No more headaches. I wish I could give Visioncare in Conway a negative star rating. Anyone can make a mistake. But to perpetuate the mistake, then lie about it, especially involving something so important as a person's ability to see, is almost criminal. read more

I have had to pay for a glacoma test , that Medicaid was supposed to have paid for. I went to Visit care and over paid for my glasses, and then didn't receive them for 22 days after payment. When I called complained to the manager,he was rude, nasty, and told me that that's not how the real world works. I have never waited so long for a pair of glasses. I did say that I was going to contact my lawyer, because of the test they charged my husband for,not Medicaid. I have never been treated with such disrespect as this company has allowed this manager who is rude, and nasty. He cut me off when I was talking and they don't want to solve this problem. I have been told that I need to find a new eye doctor. These people need to learn how to listen and solve problems, not run off customers. I am never going there again, and I am protesting the charge on my husband card. read more

I had no issues with this place. I always had an easy time getting what I needed and everyone that worked there was always very nice. But, I recently tried to set up a checkup to get my prescription renewed and was denied because of a flag on my account. They claimed that I posted something on social media deterring the public from using their services which is simply not true. Like I said I never had any qualms in the past. I stayed on hold for more than 30 minutes to try and speak to a manger to get more information only to be told he was too busy at the time and I'd get a call back. It's been two days and still nothing. I just want to say that I'm very confused as to where they got this information of me talking bad about this company before this and I'd like to see proof but I'm sure that won't happen. It's safe to say I'll be finding somewhere else to go but it's just sad they denied a paying customer on false information and won't even try to call back. read more

Terrible experience, nothing personal, nice people, but horrible workmanship. I get my new $631 pair of glasses home and take them out of the case and the lens is separated from the frame.....I vote with my words and my dollars, guess what? ...my dollars have a choice where they get spent. Like I said, super nice people, but terrible quality. And then to try and charge me for their poor workmanship? Yep, they wanted me to spend another $158 to get a different pair of glasses (25% fee of the cost of the glasses to change). Give them a try if you want, but you better hope you don't have a problem with the glasses. I was told they put the wrong sized bushing in the lens?? And yet, she said they've been making glasses for a long time. Seriously? If that's what your company does, make glasses....So they installed a new bushing. How do I know that's going to last? Uhm, where I work, we back our products up for poor workmanship. No VisionNOCare. read more

My search for an eye doctor led me to Visioncare. The lady that answered; I think her name was kara, told me that they have an appointment open at 2:30 pm...at the time it was about 12:40 pm. At the time of our conversation, I was getting an oil change for my company vehicle and told her (after being hesitant) that I'd take the appointment, (thinking that I wouldn't get called back to work). I ended up getting called back into work, so I called Visioncare back and left a message. They called me back and told me that I can reschedule but I will have to pay $10 because I canceled. She stated that their policy is that if a cancellation happens within 2 hours of the appointment, then a $10 fee will be charged. But how could I avoid the fee when the appointment was made already within the 2 hour window? And I asked the lady, why didn't she tell me about that before I made the appointment, knowing how hesitant I was? She stated that "you don't tell people that they will be charged for cancelling before they make appointment." So I told her that I will just take my business elsewhere. read more

I switched over to Visioncare under the recommendation of a friend and was unhappy with my prescription and my frames. I took them back several times to let them know something was wrong with the strength and the way they fit my face and each time I was told they were fine, but needed to be heated up and bent a little. This did not fix the vision problems, they had to bend and stretch my frames so much that the lens stick out on all sides and offered a weak excuse on why it was fine, because they did not want to make it right. I have not been back and for the expense (much higher here) I would not recommend. read more

I was having problems with my glasses from Visioncare, so I went to their lab to see if they could fix the problem - I could not see anything out of my glasses. Ryan, one of the lab workers was the one who "helped" me. He was rude and condescending the whole time I was there. He did not seem to care about my problem. He only seemed to care about him being right and letting me know that I was wrong. I ended up going somewhere else and getting a new exam and glasses and my prescription was ENTIRELY off. Never again will I go to Visioncare. read more

horrible!!! So very disappointed! Went and got an eye exam and bought glasses and sunglasses. First, eye exam cost more here than other places. Second, they made promises about what they could do with the glasses and sunglasses. Those promises did not hold up. In fact, the glasses were unwearble. What they said they could do, they could not. And then they refused a refund. We agreed to the initial purchase because they assured us it could be done. They failed and refused to give our money back. It's one thing to be told the risks and to take the risk anyway, it's another to be told it can be done when it can't then refuse to refund. So now we are saddled with 2 pairs of glasses we aren't happy with because they over promised and didn't take care of the customer. They did remake the glasses so they were out the money anyways. Why not refund, let us go somewhere else and be done with it? Now you've lost several customers. read more
