This was my second time visiting Vision Express. I went in yesterday for my routine eye check up and to obtain new glasses. The eye service was good for my particular needs, and they do have Saturday availabilities which is nice. The sign in process due to pandemic has changed a bit with new guidelines including temperature checks and requiring you to wear a mask. They also require you to sit in your car and not to bring additional people to your appointment. Luckily, I came directly at my scheduled appointment, so that I didn't have to sit in my car. Once in I did the normal routine paper work then went to the back to get my eyes examined. I really like the fact that this place doesn't do eye dilation. Instead they do a scan which is very convenient. The pros of the visit was I didn't have to get my eyes dilated. Also, they allow you to take your prescription with you which is nice if you want variety with your glass. Also, if you check in on the yelp, you can get 35% off on a pair of glasses with out insurance. The con was the time I had to sit and wait to see the optometrist after doing my check. Also, they have a limited amount of glasses, but I did find a pair that was nice. read more

This place used to be amazing. But recently they were bought by a corporate firm that seems to have little understanding of how to run a doctors office. Everything has shifted from being patient and customer focused to being all about money. Hearing the manager and people who appear to be high level corporate types talk about their numbers for the day and week, and buying new stores (while customers are in ear shot and being ignored or receiving poor customer service) is in extremely poor taste. The new manager seems clueless and condescending. Her enthusiasm feels fake. Especially after she high fives the sales person next to her after "a good sale." It's just trashy. read more

I always enjoy my visit with Patrick and his crew anytime I need a good pair of glasses and its always easy and pleasant to work with any one there. read more

I don't know who runs this place of business? But whoever dose need to fire and get rid of the two women at the very front desk that's next to the waiting area. Totally disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. Will definitely be going to a different Vision Express next time for sure!!!!!!! read more

My visit on March 13, 2023 was unusual. The optometrist appeared to be inebriated and unprofessional. No introduction and super quick exam. Eyeglass prescription doesn't work for me. The reader glasses I'm using is better than the glasses prescribed. I have used this facility before and was completely satisfied but not with this Doctor. Unfortunately, I don't recall his name but he was the only one at this facility at the time. I will recommend and continue to use this facility only if there's a different Optometrist. read more

The young lady named Sofi was very professional and attentive to my needs when I went to get my yearly eye exam. Katie was also very knowledgeable in what I needed for my vision needs. read more

Let me start off by saying this, originally the customer service at the River City North location was great. However, my subsequent overall experience wasn't the greatest, it was basically a month long process. This was my first time here and wanted to try a new place. I proceeded to make an appointment with them and they were very helpful with that portion. The day finally arrives for my eye exam and the Optometrist who does my eye exam was very friendly vs what I experienced in the past. So once the exam is finished I'm put into a new prescription and I immediately noticed that I'm not as seeing clearly as I should be, but I tell myself to give my eyes a minute or two to adjust. Well, I was wrong because hours later, my vision still hasn't cleared, so I go back to mention that this prescription isn't correct and if I could get something else. I was told that the Dr. would re-check my eyes. I was informed that the doctor wasn't available at that time and I had to come back so that she could basically perform another exam, but was also advised to give them some time since my eyes need to adjust, and that their next available appointment wasn't until almost 2 weeks. So I agreed to and wait again until the next appointment only to go through 2 more pairs of contacts and still can't see. I told them this, and once again I was told to give it some time to adjust and if it isn't working then come back for another appointment to try again. Once I left from there something told me to check my old prescription from a previous eyeglass store which I did, and come to realize that I was given a prescription that was 1.0 x less than what my old prescription was. So now I'm livid because I spent money on 2 new pairs of glasses only to end up incorrect prescription, at this point I was fed up of going back and forth with them. I booked an appointment the same day with my old eyeglass store and I explained what I went through and showed them the new prescription and each one said it was incorrect. Now I was super mad because if I didn't change my prescription my vision could've got worse. I immediately left from that place and went back to Vision Express to get my glasses changed to the correct prescription and wait another 2 weeks for that to be corrected. Suffice it to say, I'll just stick with the eyeglass store I've been going to for years now. The only plus side to all of this is that I received the nice frames that I now have. read more

Set up three appointments. One for me, my wife and daughter. Asked for Saturday Appointments, Confirmed all three appointments twice. Showed up and was told we can not see you. Was told that I made a mistake in scheduling, even though I called and they made the appointments. People at the desk were rude and not at all apologetic. Made me feel like this was our fault, and we were inconveniencing them by being there. Dont waste your time, read more

Don't even go here. The prices are way out of line. Also, when or if you ever try to call this office, it goes to voicemail and they never answer the phone or call you back. You have to go back to the office just to ask a question or get a receipt. read more

BUYER BEWARE DO NOT ORDER GLASSES FROM HERE Ordered 5 pair of very expensive glasses and spent about $1500 (SPECIFICALLY FOR A vacation trip for me and my wife) 1st. We were told they would be in within the usual two weeks time frame (April 6) by the way only 4 of the 5 pair needed prescription. The day before our two week mark I called to check on the status and we were told that none of them were ready and to wait 24-48 hours for them to be delivered from the offsite lab. Waited the 48 hours (still no one called us) I called again and only one pair was ready. We go pick up the one pair and was then informed that the other glasses would be ready the next day. Once again I called the next day and NOWWW we are told by the manager Patrick that my glasses were "special mirror coat" and preceded to tell me he was sorry that the woman who helped us initially didn't let us know about the three week wait for "mirror coating". At this point we are 19 days in so he says your not even at the three week mark ! So I waited patiently for the next 2 days and went to the store instead of calling. At this point we are now waiting for one more pair or glasses and once again no ETA on my glasses. Day 23 I called and was informed of a new ETA of April 18 ! Not only were WE NEVER notified of this new ETA but that's a whole 30 days of waiting for glasses! At this point I requested a refund for the pair that I never received! This staff is sooooo unorganized, incompetent and they only make up for this lack of organization by their designer selection! But if I could give no stars I would! I could have gone to lens crafters and had my glasses in a few days! read more

This was a really great place to get my new glasses. Everyone was helpful and answered my questions. I was able to choose a great pair of frames and got a lot of help from the lady working there at the frames. I'm bad with names or I would be able to tell who she was but she really helped us. Great customer service, nice and tidy store, very helpful. read more

The customer service was great at the River City location. The merchandise is very pricey and they do up sell so make sure you know what you're buying. read more

I really want to give zero stars. The staff is not professional at all and actually quite rude. They do not seem to know what they are doing. From the beginning of our visit we were treated as an inconvenience to them and told one thing by one staff member and another completely different thing by another. We were told we were waiting for a room after waiting for the dilation drops to work -15 minutes. I saw two other people called back obviously rooms are available. We waited an additional 30 minutes and I alerted the young man at the desk that obviously there were rooms available. We finally got back there and completed our exam. The gentleman that helped us with frames and glasses, Matt, said the glasses would be ready the next day. I called the next day only to be told Oh no I don't know why he told you that it takes 7-14 days. Please get your staff some additional training!!! read more

Run away from this place. They're fast taking payment but couldn't deliver promptly. It took more than a month to get my glasses. (after profiting 150% from it) Very pricey. Multiple criss-cross lies from the staff whenever inquiring about the item. One will say it will arrive in 3-4 days, the other says "your lenses just arrived today" when in reality they were there physically shown to me by a Rep. just right after my vision test & the staff in charge of orders literally told me that he has no idea when it will come. It's 2017, tracking shipment is not rocket science. Lesson learned here, their word is no good. Go somewhere else more trustworthy. read more

I've been coming to Vision Express for years! I love the service and selection. They are super friendly and I always find what I'm looking for. They do sell designer so it can be costly, but I feel it's reasonable read more

I have been a customer at Max Legget location For several years, however my visit on July 9, 2020 was okay until I was taken to a clerk name Rehanna, a black female, I brought in my Tom Ford 090 shiny blue frames in which I decided to ask if they had the frame in brown Rehanna called the Town Center store and inquired, they did not, I asked if they were discontinued, advise no and ordered the brown Tom Ford 5374, she told me my charge was 490.00 and I asked why because I was getting the same products I got last year, she's advised vision express price increased then Rehanna stated let me make sure and said I can give a step down for the transitions now my price was now 252.00 total . However only 228.00 was processed on my card Rehanna handed my new eye glass prescription in which I noticed later it's not mine but another customer receipt, she asked me was I going use my frames brought in to their store I told her no, as I was going to another business for prescriptions sunglasses , once I got home I noticed I did not have my frames , I have thoroughly searched and I don't have them, I called the store on today asking for someone to review the camera, I was told if they were not busy, they would however if I did not hear from them , to call well I did and Rehanna answered asked for mindy the person I spoke to earlier I was told she was busy, I waited about 30 minutes and back and I was hung up on. I am going to reach out to the better business bureau regarding this matter since I can't get any help. read more

I am really ticked off and need to vent STILL! I took my older two children to the optometrist. Gave me a refusal form to sign for dilation. The refusal form basically said I was responsible for permanent injury and death to my kids due to undetected possible deterioration, cancer and retinal damage. I don't see the point since they are 4 and 7 and I dont know the crap coming out of that bottle. This dude was an impatient asshole. He swatted my 4 year olds hand from the equipment. HE IS 4! He kept saying. This is going to take forever because you wont stop moving. Stop moving. Hey look you need to focus. He interrupted my son from reading a letter pulled the equipment from his face and told him to stop moving. The whole time I was trying to say positive things to trump the negative. I did not like my experience at all. I will not be going back. I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDNT WALK OUT. SO MAD AT MYSELF FOR THAT! read more

Terrible experience with them. Got talked into "Deluxe Frames" (expensive) which broke in 2 pieces 6 months later. I called for warranty replacements and was told they are no longer available. Jerry said he would send me replacement frames if I returned the broken ones. I have moved out of state so I mailed the broken frames to them. 3 months later I got a follow up call to see if I received the new frames. I told Sabrina no they have not been sent. She promised to check and follow up. 2 weeks later, still no word. They promise quality and great service.........I have received neither. read more

Want to give you a heads up about going to Vision Express in Ponte Vedra. The eye doctor was nice but the staff dealing with insurance are either incompetent or worse. I called my insurance carrier several times before AND after my appointment to determine what would and would not be covered, discussed it with Vision Express prior to my appointment, was told what would be covered, and then got stuck with a bill they now say is NOT covered in spite of all that. Just want you all to know and be aware. Wish I'd known before I got stuck. NOT good customer service at all. #VisionExpress read more
