This branch of Vision Express is a decent branch, it is located in Bolton's Market Place Shopping Centre, I called in here while passing through Bolton, looking at picking up a new pair of glasses. The selection of glasses here was okay, probably around the average mark, yet sadly brands such as Hugo Boss didn't appear to be stocked here. The staff didn't seem too friendly, I wasn't welcomed in the store or asked if they could help with anything, which sadly is a huge negative about this store, when compared to rival opticians and even other branches of Vision Express. The overall store feel was okay, it was modern and pretty typical of a Vision Express. The store was slightly quieter than the Manchester branch, which is about a 20 minute train ride away and of course the busier and slightly larger branch of course in the major city of Manchester nearby, so this branch in a way is quieter and probably is more likely for one to get in and out of quicker. I'm struggling in terms of rating this store as I could argue for this store to warrant a two or three star rating, mainly down to the glasses selection, being perhaps smaller than other stores such as Manchester Arndale, but mainly due to selling some nice pairs, which I haven't really seen at other stores, I feel this branch deserves a slightly generous three-star rating. read more

This is a friendly little spectacle store where they offer a free eye consultation and the staff are well informed and professional. They have all the latest designer glasses which are really nice as well as some others which are still a really good quality. The designer ones are alot less expensive then you'd think they would be, and again the staff really know what they're doing in this one, they can just look at your face and find glasses to match. read more
