In the middle of this test the optician came up behind him and told him that the machines wouldn't give any results as I was wearing contacts this should've been an obvious question as my prescription is so deep that I can't see without any lenses hrmmm apparently it was 'let's play qualified optician' day for the staff. Meanwhile, I was happy with the actual service and examination from the optician that attended to me although I made sure to skip the sales pitch after the appointment, from the psudeo assistant that did my initial 'tests'. Most annoying thing though, the owner will push you (in a friendly way i guess but still pushing - the worst) for eye tests / contacts tests without being really clear on the cost of each. I had an eye test + contact test (it was unnecessary) + a pair of regular glasses (not fancy whatsoever and light straight forward correction) and it all cost me about £450. (!!!)
