While I was waiting for my check-up, the customer service assistant reviewed my prescription and called me over to the funky high-tech equipment to take photos of my eyes. Then he used the machine that blows puffs of air into them to check for diabetes and glaucoma. In the middle of this test the optician came up behind him and told him that the machines wouldn't give any results as I was wearing contacts this should've been an obvious question as my prescription is so deep that I can't see without any lenses hrmmm apparently it was 'let's play qualified optician' day for the staff.
Meanwhile, I was happy with the actual service and examination from the optician that attended to me although I made sure to skip the sales pitch after the appointment, from the psudeo assistant that did my initial 'tests'. Hopefully I'll be ok with the new prescription she provided.
