I have been coming to this optician regularly and I cannot fault but only give a very good honest review. Their customer service is excellent and nothing is too much trouble even if they are busy. The optometrist who does the eye tests is very thorough and is definitely worth waiting for if he is with a customer. I went to this optician today and was absolutely appalled by the service provided by the staff that I ultimately did not see the optician. I asked when I arrived how long it would take to see the optician because there seemed to be alot of people there. They said they would only know after the next patient. I decided to just wait and after about an hour I was still just waiting. They did not even take my contact details and say they would call me 10 minutes before my appointment. The manager obviously knew there was a queue building. After one and a half hours I asked how much longer it would take and they were still uncertain. I told them to cancel my appoitment because like most other people I have a life and shouldnt be expected to wait for what would soon be two hours. After about a minute I realised that I should wait for my appointment as I had already waisted nearly two hours of my life there. When I asked the manager if i could still see the optician, she said no because there were other patients who were waiting. This was utter rubbish because all the patients that were left had come after me. I believe this optician is in serious need of a new manager who knows how to run the establishment and preferably one who is not so rude. Unless you want to waste a few hours of your life and not even end up seeing the optician I strongly suggest that you do not go to betterspecs. read more
