When I first saw this place my thoughts were; "Eww a tattoo place next to the Town Line?" A few years ago, a friend of mine was going to go there to get a tat and it wasn't her first but I was questioning but went along to just go because tats are cool (at this point I had 3 tattoos). She had heard from a friend of hers to go there because they did a great job and he had gotten a few of his there. Tattoo shopping is all word of mouth really and so she decided to go get her fourth. I don't remember who gave her the tattoo but it was a good experience, they were really accommodating for her and I and each area was blocked in about chest height for privacy but open so that it isn't an overwhelming claustrophobic experience, since the space isn't that large they did a great job with the layout. While she was getting inked I took a walk over to the Town Line and got some food with one of the artists, that was pretty chill. I liked the place it was cool. So then when it was my turn to get a new tattoo, of course I chose Visible Ink. I've gotten two tattoos their and one piercing by Justin. Good stuff. I got one of my tats by my ex roommate, which wasn't as awkward as I had imagined it would be. She did a great job, not sure where she tattoos now, Molly. Then I got an addition on one I already had, Anthony? I think did it. He was great, it was a quick tat. And I got my industrial done, all day I was calling about going/not going/when they're closing/etc. They were really helpful and I got in there and I got it done just before closing. It was a funny experience for me since clearly I can't handle piercings. It friggen hurt, I was like I should have just got a damn tattoo. The pricing, could be better. $80 minimum.. that's a little steep in my opinion. Both mine I got where $80 there, which is fine, the first one I could see yeah okay, but the second one.. I'd have preferred $60 but it's okay. Overall, great experiences when I've been. Friendly staff. Very clean and professional. Comfortable atmosphere. I would rate this place more than 5 stars if I were able to! I got tattooed by Andrew and I am so so in love with the gorgeous artwork on my body. Visible Ink is super clean, has laid back/hilarious staff members and I felt completely at home immediately upon entering the shop. (Minus the getting stabbed with needles for 3 hours thing, of course). Andy did a cover up piece for me and it came out absolutely perfect, there is no way anyone who doesn't personally know me would know it was covering an existing tattoo! The second tattoo was a finger tattoo and he made sure the line work was immaculate. Best tattoo parlor ever. You can't beat 55 dollar piercings and you can't beat the tattoo prices either. The staff are friendly and you can always see them cleaning. The correct licenses are posted in plain view and they are open to questions about sterilization and other sanitary procedures. I have gotten two tattoos (well, really three, one on each foot as a pair and one on my neck) and am totally satisfied. The shop only accepts cash but there is an ATM inside... just a generic one. They will ID you and they are serious about the law. They can and will do custom work... who wants the same stupid chinese symbol as everyone else... make it yours! There is a nice little area with couches and a tv, plenty of stock art to pour through for ideas and even a soda machine if you get thirsty. I went in without an appointment on a Saturday and one of the owners came out, introduced himself- and offered to work on me and my friend as long as we didn't mind waiting. The shop is clean, open- and everyone there is very friendly and professional. David was meticulous and precise in his work- and everything was sterile and efficient. David explained that they do annual health certifications voluntarily, that all the artists have a full series of appropriate vaccinations, and all needles and equipment is medical grade. I was really happy with David work and with the quality of the entire studio, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. FYI- cash only; IDs required from all customers. I never usually write a review, (this honestly might be my first one)! But I had such an excellent experience at Visible Ink. I walked right in on a Wednesday and was seen by Scott, who told me he could see me in a hour which was totally fine since my tattoo was relatively pretty detailed. Scott did such an amazing job on my tattoo. I am still in love with it. It was my first one! I was quoted a price range for my tattoo from 6-7 shops in the Mass area, and Scott gave me a price that was insanely cheap that I almost didn't believe it. Not only was the price insanely good, he finished my tattoo in 30 minutes (I was told by other shops it would be around 2 hours). The rest of the staff is also very relaxed and friendly. I highly recommend Visible Ink Tattoo Studios and especially Scott. I am sure the other artists are great as well, but Scott will definitely exceed your expectations in every way. After moving from Florida recently & searching for comparable work/prices i finally came across visible ink. I came in 3/19/16 to just get my lip re-pierced. Tatiana was super nice & very informative. Ive already heard all the cleaning procedures and everything, but Tati gave me a quick memory refresher which i liked alot!. Very quick! My sister and I had tattoos done by Andrew in August and he was phenomenal. We gave him the word we wanted, font and all, and he freehanded beautifully. The place itself on the outside and location wise is very run down. Inside however, the place is clean, the guys are all chill and they give you as much time as you need to design your tattoo and double check with you on size/font/placement through the whole process. I went there with my friend Jess for my first tattoo- she has three and got them all done there. She hadn't been in there awhile but the staff recognized her too! Little Anthony is amazing, he did my ribcage and it healed very well! It was done in about 10-15min and was a short script piece...quality work! It was 80 bucks and i tipped 15 bucks. They say their designs start at 80, which is true but sometimes the artist cut it down to 40-60 (Jess has a small j'adore 40 dollar tattoo and a 60 dollar lipstick lips tattoo) based on how quick or small the design is. They don't charge extra for color ink either!They are also cool with walk-ins- Jess and I just went in during the week this past June around 3 or 4 and they take care of you right away! From design ( I knew the quote I wanted before hand), wait time, to finishing the tattoo took about an hour! Very worth it in my opinion and I'll be going back for other tattoos! Don't listen to people insinuating they aren't sterile/careful tattoo artists- if anything they didnt make sure their tattoos healed properly. Like it says on the release form IT ISN'T THE ARTIST'S FAULT IF YOU SMUDGE YOUR INK AND MESS UP THE HEALING PROCESS. Another friend of mine recommended this place to me and neither her nor Jess had any health issues/ reprocussions/concerns about their tattoos and their healing processes. They have had their tattoos done from this place from Sept '09 to Jan '11, so if any health issues would have occurred they would have already happened! Its very small. They only accept cash , so we had to use the very sketchy generic ATM. First off our tattoo artist was awesome and our tattoos turned out great. the customer service was extrememly unprofessional. we made a verbal agreement on the price and when we went to pay it went completely out the window. the tattoo artist all ganged up on us and told us they don't negotiate and they dont recall the agreement. they proceeded to tell us we were wrong and continued to talk over us and made a scene at the shop. extremely disrespectful. Also they 'guarantee' the tattoo, but don't provide a receipt so don't be suprised if your tattoo gets messed up you go back and they 'forget' they ever put a permanent peice of art on your body. I've only went here to get pierced and to get my jewelry changed and after this experience, I will never go to another piercing parlor again. Visible Ink is now my go-to place to get pierced. Tatiana the piercer is very professional and knowledgeable at what she does and does the piercings quick to ensure the least pain possible. Her room is very well organized and she is very sanitary with all the piercings and such. I feel very comfortable in the shop, everyone there is friendly. Have I also mentioned that her piercing rates are super cheap? Minimum charge to get pierced is $15 but most of her piercings are around $15-25. sea salt solutions are $5 per bottle. On the paper where you sign to agree to get pierced, she also has a section where you can fill in your social media, so she can add or follow you if you have any questions or concerns. I have her on Facebook and I message her whenever I have any questions and she is always quick to answer and answers my questions thoroughly. - Visible Ink accepts CASH ONLY. So definitely bring cash or you can use their store generic ATM which will charge you a $3 surcharge. - Definitely bring your ID because they WILL ID you! Don't ever get pierced at the mall again, they seem sketchy to begin with. Come to Visible Ink and Tatiana will provide you with the best service at the best prices. Sadly, I lost my father a month ago. He was only 64 years old and he was my world. My sister came home with a tattoo that was done by Scott at this parlor. It was my dad's writing and it said, "Love, Dad". I immediately decided that I wanted to do the same thing. I made an appt with Little Anthony. I brought in a card that was signed by my dad and gave it to him. His final work looked amazing. (But mine has more than just "Love Dad). I also went back in a second time to work with Anthony and he tattooed me with my mom's handwriting on my other wrist. I am extremely satisfied. I also recommend Andrew.
