This is my receipt from my down payment OVER A YEAR AGO with Chris spuggs. I've sent Chris email after email, phone call after phone call, and the effort has still not been reciprocated to provide me with what I've paid for. Despite my numerous attempts to contact Chris, he only responded a few times, always with excuses as to why he hadn't gotten around to the tattoo id requested. Most of the time I got no response at all. Chris got me excited for this tattoo, collected my down payment, and then forgot about me. This artist, along with the studio, are not worth trusting, don't believe a word they say. Very shady. read more

They should LISTEN TO WHAT the customer WANTS AND not CHANGE THE PIC (BROUGHT TO THEM WITH 2 CONSULATIONS) and I was told by the person doing the tatoo that " they tried to rein their artistic preference and they wanted to "honor" my late family member. Yeah right. No such thing happened. The design was changed in multiple area's. All the color was changed. When I was told by them that they had to "rein in their interpretation of 'my original drawing' was a clue that I should have heeded and left. A huge red flag that I missed. So disgusted with my tattoo. . He ruined my design and it was all because 'he thought he could do it better' !!! Well that is not what I came there for... It was MY TATTOO NOT THEIRS!!! I paid $400.for my design that they altered !!!!! Utterly bitter and such a cold person to just DO WHATEVER THEY WANT. Again, my tattoo-not theirs. After it was done (5 hours later) i saw it and then a white bandage on it for two weeks and when I compared my late family member's artwork ((which is what he was given)) I was livid..Ruined the honor I was giving to my family. read more

During the appointment Spuggs was very kind and funny, but to have such a positive experience turn sour months later hurts, especially after singing his praises on social media and recommending him to friends and family. read more

I don't trust Juli, She tattoo'd me 30 Plus years ago..and the Calendar is now out of date. Now im stuck with a ancient Aztec Calendar. never wasting time or money in this studio EVER AGAIN. Make sure if your trying to book threw here you know it will be weeks/months before you can see ANYONE that is worth a damn. Make sure you know they want a deposit up front (They fail to tell us so) so our apt with troy was cancelled and we were re-booked with a newer artist. And whatever you do DONT BOOK WITH HECTOR. My tattoo looks 10 years old (done this past year) And he blew my husband off an entire appointment! Also, they will delete any negative recommendation you leave on there FB. My wife had contacted the studio again with a response of "I'm sorry but you're exaggerating what happened".... Again this isn't really about the studio but rather the Artist who went out of his way to be rude. By the way if you want a tattoo that doesn't look 45 years old as soon as it's finished pick Troy. Juli Moon's it the epitome of a mystical tattoo shop! I've been a big fan of Juli Moon's designs and drawing of fairies since I was young. She used to own a tattoo shop in NH before tattoos were legal in MASS. The studio is located in an office building with plenty of parking. You can tell where her studio is because of the moons and crystals hanging in the upstairs windows. As you walk up the stairs to the studio, you notice a trail of glitter and magical decorations beginning to appear and lead you into the studio. The waiting room is beautiful, and you should SEE the amazing mermaid painted on Sharon's wall! I had an old tattoo that I was unhappy with. I went to a woman names Sharon Bradbury that works at Juli Moon because she did a nice little cover-up for my sister. She was very, very nice during my consultation and helped me develop a design for my cover-up that I was really happy with!! I went from having an ugly little pink and purple elf on a magic mushroom on my lower back, to having an giant stunning mystical blossoming cherry tree on my back! Sharon did a great job of covering the tattoo I hated and integrating her design into a tattoo I still liked. The results are a really unique and eye-catching design that I get complements on it all the time! It took several sessions to complete my tattoo (my pain tolerance is only so much, afterall) and I got a chance to chat with Sharon a lot. She is a really kind, creative person. She can make you laugh and is easy to relax around- but she also can sense when you need to zone out and be silent to work through any pain (she's cool like that). At some points I was kind of a wiggly wimp and she did a great job of not getting mad at me & not screwing the tattoo up! ;) If you want a really, really, beautiful pieces with any kind of detail (including cover-up others tell you can't be done) then I suggest Sharon at Juli Moon! read more

Surprised , I had a tattoo done there tried patiently to get an appointment to have it fixed in a few (7) places. No couldn't get seen again. Went somewhere else. My tattoo is now exactly the way I want it . Funny but I will credit the second place for it. with a side by side pic anyone who sees it will get exactly what I mean. No re appointment did me a favor and I hope anyone reading this a huge favor too . Go somewhere else. The first tattoo not so great it needed fixing second wouldn't fix it third couldn't get a second appointment third found a much better artist. The whole thing is who knows why they wouldn't stand by there first tattoo . Someone blow some shine over there cause that sounds shady to me. read more

I am extremely pleased with my brows which Juli did for me. She's gifted at managing contour and color. She's spot on in the hair stroke technique. To meet my need to come in on a specific day it took a 6-week advance notice but well worth the wait. I travelled 90 minutes to get to her but would make it a two-day trip if I had to, because she's that good. Prompt, courteous, gifted, real. The tattoo I got came out great but don't bother making an appointment with them. They had me sitting in the waiting room for an hour. My appointment was set for 10:00 they didn't even take me into the room until 11:00 and didn't start the tattoo until fifteen minutes after that. read more

The shop contacted me and I met with Juli, the owner. She was apologetic about the lack of communication in the past. She offered to do whatever to fix the tattoo. She applied skin tones over the blue to tone it down. It isn't perfect but it looks better. She however, was gracious, pleasant and professional. read more

I went to Julie Moon tattoo because it was recommended. I got my eyeliner tattoo done there. It was worth every penny. They did a great job. Comforting music was playing. The artist did his best to keep me calm, as I was upright. If I needed to rest from tension, he was very patient. I have since then returned to do a small tattoo. The minimum is $100. The staff is great, very personable. They close at 7pm. It's best to make an appointment. The place is heavily decorated. It's tidy and clean. I'm sure I'll be returning eventually for another. I would recommend Julie Moon Tattoo studio. Parking is sufficient. It's not a huge lot but every time I've been there I haven't had an issue.
