Dr. Hopkins was kind, thorough, reassuring, and listened to my desired outcomes and what was reasonable to me. He had a great sense of humor and a warm demeanor. Most importantly, he wasn't doing the "worst case scenarios" thing docs do, or pushing anything unneeded that I've experienced in the medical setting before. I left with an elevated mood because I felt that I best understood the situation, and Dr. Hopkins put me at ease. While I hope that I never lacerate my hand and break my bone again, if I do, I will absolutely go directly back to Dr. Hopkins and his team. For me, referrals, specialists and the idea of surgery is a scary thing, but I cannot say enough for how much I appreciated the approach of Dr. Hopkins. The UTA endorsement, as well as the UTA memoribila was a big plus, too!

However their office will blow up your phone with text and calls constantly about paperwork, and confirming. etc. They even text you at 7:00 a.m about things. It's a lot! Furthermore if you need MRI"s or treatment they only do it at Baylor Scott & White in Arlington on Highland. I will never go there again if that is the only place the doctors at Arlington Orthopedics can send patients to. If I thought that Arlington Orthopedics was bad about blowing up up your phone, Baylor is a thousand times worse especially when it comes to getting their money before your procedure! I received multiple calls and text from multiple people there daily wanting their money. We were waiting for our insurance to process claims from another procedure somewhere else where our deductible could be seen by Baylor. Still the day before my procedure they sent another text saying they have to have my payment tomorrow in all caps! What business does this? Even on the day of we had to sit in the business office and hash all this over again and again which made things very stressful before having a procedure. Lastly out of 2 visits there, I have only encountered one nice person. No one there cares about anything except getting your money. My advice is to think long and hard about Arlington Orthopedics if you think you may need an actual procedure and then you better have your money ready and your ducks in a row. Baylor Scott & White is very aggressive in getting their money. That's all that matters to them.

The doctor was great but the office and billing department is a total scam. I was scheduled for an…read moreEMG procedure and I talked to three people at my insurance who all said the co-pay would be $15 because it's an office visit not outpatient. I was unable to get ahold of anyone at the main desk or billing office for days, and someone at the desk finally answered. They insisted my insurance told them to charge me $412 because I had not yet met my deductible. I spoke to them three times to relay what my insurance said, but they refused to bill it as an office visit and tried to bill it as outpatient. Ended up having to cancel the procedure the morning I was supposed to get it because they were trying to scam me. I should've known better because they did the same last fall. Insurance told me another procedure was covered 100% because I had met my deductible and out of pocket. But they ended up charging me $500. I do not recommend this practice and cancelled my other three upcoming appointments. Also, they scheduled my follow up for the procedure for two months from now and wouldn't put me on a cancellation list. So I would have had to wait until September 29 to find out the EMG results and why I can't feel half of my left hand, which severely impacts my work because I type 8 hours a day.

This is the most unprofessional doctors office I have ever been too. On Jan 7, 2025 my primary care…read morephysician sent a referral to Dr Dakota Schumacher. The earliest appointment I could get was for April 8th, less than a week before the appointment they called to tell me they would have to postpone it so it was delayed another week to April 15th. After meeting with the doctor he told me I would need further testing and scheduled it for May 5th and also the follow up visit to review the results on Jun 19th. However the day before the test they called to tell me the equipment was broken and they couldn't do the test and they did not know when the equipment would be fixed. A few days later they called again and told me the equipment at my office in South Arlington might not ever be fixed so they sent me to their office in Grapevine (45 min drive one way from my house). Today (Jun 19th) I went in to the office for the follow up and was told the doctor wasn't in. They said they had left me a message on the 17th advising of the change and the next available appoint was July 7th. I told them that wasn't acceptable and asked them to send all of the information, diagnosis and test result to my primary care physician. They then proceeded to have me fill out paper work to release the information even though he was the referring physician. I would avoid working this office at all cost.

CNA Lanicha was one of the staff members assigned to care for my husband during his stay at the hospital. We were really impressed with her great personality and professionalism. I will elaborate about my care on a friend's podcast and nieces social media accounts. I was in a vulnerable situation when I arrived and the financial aid professional was very unprofessional as she took my payment of thousands of dollars, the nurse was unprofessional. I told the nurse I had taken a laxative over 24 hours ago and I was concerned because I had not used the restroom and she loudly said repeatedly in a sing song voice "don't worry if you boo boo I'll clean you up" after surgery my blood pressure was so high and they seemed panicked and I felt rushed to be discharged. I do not know if the intention was for me to die elsewhere. The only staff that was professional and showed some humanity was my IV. Nurse. There's so much that was wrong in this facility but I'll stop here for now.
