*Update , two months after the first visit I just found out they refilled the wrong generic…read moremedication and it has been detrimental to my health. Not sure what is worse, the office staff or the the attending physicians. They will waste your time, your deductible's, and energy. For simple things that can be diagnosed with a primary care physician FIRST VISIT, Smith came in read a list of medications i am on, then ordered blood test results and left the room, asked if I had any questions while half way out the door... waited two weeks for blood results, would of waited longer if I did not call and ask to have assess to the portal. When i messaged Smith and expressed concern she wrote me back with a "schedule an office visit or may try infectious disease no referral is needed for your plan" (this is taken right from the message in the portal) that sounds extreme since I am working with what I thought was going to be my primary??? I called the office to see another provider, I go in and the new provider "Darnell" did express interest in my concerns however to be safe ordered more blood test and gave a referral to a dermatologist. As I was checking out for that appointment I asked for print outs of the blood work orders and referral, however was told TWICE that it was sent electronically. I went home and made an apt for Quest the next day before work, I even emailed Darnell in the portal to confirm it was sent electronically... I go to the quest apt and they do not have the orders, well one of the quest do, the one I told the front desk THREE TIMES the day before was not the one I went to... they asked to confirm, I told them it was wrong, it was a different location *gave location* was told okay, and moved on. After wasting my time at quest, I call CH to get the orders EMAILED to me, and make another apt over a week later because of the hurricane. When I came in for this last appointment, I waited 40 mins past my appointment time before Darnell came in to the room to pull up my results and read them to me in real time, I already knew what they were when I requested my full visit records to my email , and that's where I finally saw my referral (two weeks later) because I am supposed to magically know where that referral was sent, I have nothing better to do but call around or wait on hold the upwards of 20+ mins the 5-6 times I had to call this location. When I asked what my PRIMARY was going to do for me, she stated "I'M not going to do anything". why do I have a primary ? why does my ins pay do much out for someone to look at blood test results and pass me off ? Maybe I would understand if the staff took the time to explain anything... or at least give the impression they care, and you are not just another number... SAD I read reviews and I was hopeful this would be a great location.

Dr. Rankin and his staff have always been superb. I have been a patient of his since 1988, and he…read morehas actually saved my life on two separate occasions. They try to work you in when nothing is "available", and having two locations (the other is in DeLand) helps with this. It I s true that sometimes there is a wait, but it is more than worth it for your health. The waiting is typically due to the fact that patients are listened to, and actually treated like meaningful human beings instead of cattle, like at other insurance-driven medical practices. Patience is a virtue, especially when it is for a great medical team.

4 Stars - Pre-op appointment review…read more I chose this office because of the referral from my primary doctor. I arrived on time and signed in. I waited a few minutes before I was called to finalize the check-in (pay the co-pay). After another, longer wait, Jasmine called my name and walked me to the examination room. She was personable and engaging in collecting and inputting required information. After Jasmine finished, I waited 10+ minutes for Dr Reddy, and passed a portion of the time by educating myself using the interactive wall computer screen. Dr. Reddy asked questions to clarify my reason for getting a colonoscopy and explained the process at a high level. He gave me opportunity to ask questions, and then walked me to the scheduling desk. Alex (of scheduling fame I have to believe) was the star of my visit. He provided all the prep details and worked out a solution for the pending change in my insurance provides. Alex was very knowledgeable, confident, and personable, and left me with a very favorable impression of the office.

After hour and a half waiting, I asked the front des young lady if the is normal that long waiting, instead of trying to find out why it was happening, she jus asked with a cold face, "do you want to reschedule your appointment?" like we don't matter to them "is like saying "come again to waste your time" I was referred by my primary Dr. to this place, I don't have any complain about the Dr since I didn't even see him, I left fuming and very upset for the stupid attitude of the young Gen Z lady at the front desk, of course I will look for another Dr. to see if I have better luck. All this for the lack of professionalism of that young lady.

They only received one star only because their staff was friendly and courteous. As for the process…read moreof being served, that was another story. It was requested we arrive at 0930. We arrived about 10 minutes earlier, signed in and waited. There was a waiting room full of patients as well as spouses. We waited from 0920 to 1140 AM before my wife was taken in for her procedure. We understand there was only one doctor, out of the six [6] on staff as noted with their pictures in the lobby. There were seventeen [17] patients scheduled according to the intake person. This practice only cares about their appointments, how much money they will make and nothing about the rest of the people waiting around for HOURS. We have to wait and be happy about paying for the privilege of waiting to be served. My perception is that this practice does not value the patient's time, only theirs. If they could schedule properly there is no reason to have people waiting over two [2] hours to be admitted and prepared for their procedures. When we left the last patient was coming out of procedure and this was at one-twenty [1:20] PM. It is absolutely unnecessary to have people stacked up in a queue in the waiting area if they knew how to properly schedule their procedures. They want the patient at the ready for their own convenience. Therefore, the patient MUST wait to accommodate the practice. Seems to me that the tail is wagging the dog. Apparently, they do not. This says a great deal of how this practice perceives their patients.
