Sure, there's something to be said for consistency across the malls of Canada (where can't I find a Spring or an Aldo?), but it's such an awesome surprise to find something like this in a mall like that. The clothes here are gorgeous, with unique details and careful construction. The price is right, too. Even if I'm not in the market for a new garment, I can usually find a gorgeous new bag or jewelry piece. Dainty necklaces, feather earrings, you know the type. Lots of Matt and Nat stocked in here, too. Last time I was in, they were having a sale - bonus! Sales clerk was super friendly and explained the price reductions to me. Definitely coming back soon (esp. if there's another sale)!

I honestly make trips to Southgate just to go to Groove Stone. I love that a local business like this is able to make it in a commercially saturated mall. It's so refreshing to see such a unique place here. First off, I'm a sucker for anything Matt & Nat and Groove Stone has an unbeatable selection. It can be tough to find high quality vegan accessories, but at least now I know where to look. I also love how they support Canadian artists and designers. On my last visit I snagged some amazing earrings from Flight Path designs and some really unique pieces that my friends and family are going to love to receive this Christmas. Not only is the merchandise amazing, the staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly. They're always quick to offer suggestions and go out of their way to search for untouched pieces in the backroom so you don't have to buy the floor model. My only complaint with Groove Stone is that they keep taking my money from me! It's impossible for me to walk out empty-handed.

Looking for a suit, I decided to check out Laura since they had a sale of extra 20% off sale items and with my Laura card, I would save an extra 10% off. I like they have a large Petite section as well. I went on an early morning so it didn't seem there were many sales people. I grabbed a handful of clothes and the saleslady started a fitting room for me. When I tried them on, I went to grab another size as I'm sure she was busy with other customers. I decided on a suit and went to pay. I was returning a top, so she had to get the manager to ring in my sale. When I was in the line up, I saw at least 2 other sales staff on the other side of the store who were standing around. It would have been nice if I received some service while in the fitting room. For a top, pants, and suit jacket it was just over $200 which is quite reasonable for something I know will last years to come. In this shopping experience the price was good but the service wasn't. It seems to be the trend these days.

The store makes me feel like I've walked into some wealthy lady's dressing room. Clothes everywhere. Lingerie everywhere. Decorations everywhere. Kids toys. Housewares. Every time I go in I just want to lounge on the settee and have my servants cater to my every whim. OK, back to reality. As mentioned, Anthropologie is a hodge podge (I mean that in a good way) of clothing, decor and books. The clothes can be a bit over the top but the closer you look the more likely you'll find something of interest. The cool thing is they also have kids toys and housewares. It's almost a one stop shop. Another dose of reality is their prices. They're on the high side, but like many things in life you get what you pay for. Often times you can find the decor items at a better price, but by the time you find (if you even do) you'll likely have spend that much in time and effort. If you have eclectic tastes go here and have a feast of eye candy.

Based on this, I would rate this store 4 stars. However, there were quite a few staff and I was never acknowledged the whole time I was browsing and carrying my items. This is unusual for Ricki's as they typically ofter to start a fitting room and take your items. I will shop here again and hope the service improves.

Last visit I was greeted right away then told about the 25% on new items and another sale of 40% off on regular priced section. I appreciated the information but was not told that there was even better deals in the back of the store. There was extra savings (40%) on already reduced items. The store is not very big so finding the better deals was easy. I ended up finding 6 items that came to 65$, regular price would have been $160. I over heard other customers given the same bit of info without disclosing the better deals. Maybe it is just how their corporate wants to promote? So you can find great deals here, appropriate office attire and friendly service!

A suggestion to Henry Singer, if I may: just make the hemming of trousers complementary no matter the price, sale or no sale. What you do now seems both selective and cheap, making your company appear to be tight-fisted . That may not be your intention, but that's how it looks in my eyes.
