Instead of making me feel dumb like the other two stores, Mark was super friendly and optimistic. He was able to get all my data back and the turnaround time was amazing... it only took a couple days. I thought this was pretty reasonably priced compared to other services I read about online. I will definitely go back if I find myself in this situation again and will always refer others to Magnext!

They are friendly and knowledgeable. They primarily do data backups for businesses, but will do data recovery for consumers. I was grateful that they recovered 97% of my photos. They were quick and like i said before, friendly. Recovering data is a pricy business, but they even helped me out by offering a discount. There are other companies out of town/state where you can mail in what you are trying to recover. They are more pricey. It is way more convenient to go local. Gabe might be a great repair guy, I have no idea - he's a total flake who seems incapable of…read morecommunicating. He doesn't respond to emails or text messages and doesn't keep regular hours, despite the 10am-6pm that he advertises. I tried months ago to get my MacBook repaired with him. I had an appointment nearby that ended around 10am when his shop supposedly opens (as per advertised hours). When I called to tell him I was on my way, he said he wasn't at the shop and told me he works by appointment only and that he works around whatever his client's hours are... After all that, he agreed to meet me so I could drop the computer off for a diagnostic. After looking at it, he told me I needed to purchase speakers, so I asked if I could have the speakers shipped directly to him. He said yes but that I couldn't have them sent to his shop due to construction. So I asked for an address where I could send them and he never responded. Due to his lack of response, I missed my window to order in time to receive them before Labor Day. I didn't want to be without my computer too long, so I asked if I could come the next day around 9am because I had another appointment in the area. He gave me massive attitude claiming all of a sudden that his hours are 10am-6pm despite having clearly told me before that he works around his clients' hours by appointment. At this point, I was thoroughly confused. I went to pick up my laptop and he met me in the parking lot, shoving it into my hands and practically sprinting back to his car. I asked how I should pay the diagnostic fee ($39) and he said I'd just pay it when I got the repair done. Okay whatever. I didn't have time to deal with the repair until 3 months later, especially since I'm almost never on that side of town. I tried emailing him to make arrangements for the repair again and lo and behold - no response. I'm not dealing with this guy anymore. I'm on vacation this week, so this is likely the only chance I'll have to get this repair taken care of for a good long while. So I just made an appointment with the Genius Bar. Really wish we had better options for Mac repairs around here but what can ya do... At least the Apple store knows how to communicate & makes it easy to make an appointment. Geez.

He then installed my hard drive into the replacement machine. When he was finished it was BETTER than then before! The screen was "mirror clear," no scratches, the speakers worked again and the mouse pad was smooth! FYI: shortly after 2015 many laptop developers did away with hard drives in order to migrate users to "the Cloud," thus creating customers billed monthly for back-up data storage. Dave then undercharged me for his time and effort scouring the country for the perfect replacement device. Sorry, folks, I encouraged him to charge a little more for his time. I'm glad I found Dave in Delaware, and didn't go into Powell or Columbus. The service here is excellent!
