Breakfast (black beans, cheese, fried plantains, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, onions and peppers, avocado, and fried tortilla) - simply divine. When we walked in we were greeted by a lovely hostess. The whole place was run by women this day - really fun to watch. This place feels, smells, and most importantly tastes super authentic!

I expected more with the five star review... The papusas were good. I'd come back and get those to go. Not super stoked about service or this fried tamale or the poor ventilation in the kitchen. All good though. Def worth a try.

Tucked into the middle of nowhere, Virginia's could be overlooked. The decorum and atmosphere weren't incredibly appealing, but usually that's where I find some of the best Mexican food. The food was solid, well prepared, and full of traditional Salvadoran/Mexican flavor. I had the huaraches & pupusas & sopes, which were very tasty and authentic. The portions weren't overwhelming and the prices were reasonable than many other restaurants. Being Mexican and coming all the way from California to visit the meal was satisfying and it blew me away. Give this place a chance and you'll be content.

What this little El Salvadoran eatery lacks in decor & cleanliness, it makes up for in taste! We got the (only) breakfast item: eggs, refried beans, avocado, plantains, queso, sour cream & homemade corn tortillas. Everything was SO GOOD! My gf got her scrambled eggs with onions, peppers & tomatoes, and I got plain scrambled. Both delicious. Mine were just-right buttery. The refried beans were perfectly salted, with enough body to scoop onto the tortilla with queso. Yum! The plantains were RIPE, and cooked to perfection -- some crunchy edges -- easily the best I've ever had. The chef/server (guessing she was the owner) was friendly & gracious. So worth the visit.

    Sopes! Try a few.

2nd visit. This time came by after lunch and no one spoke English which made it a little bit of a challenge. Even though I ordered in Spanish the order was not right and it was not worth trying to figure it out so couple of my kids went a little hungry since they didn't get what they had ordered and they are not the fastest since everything is made from scratch and we did not have time to wait for round two. The Sopes are amazing: large, super crunchy, and filled with beans and great flavored carne asada/steak. Curiously the lady swore they did not serve rolled tacos/taquitos/tacos dorado. This is odd because last time we were here that's one of the things we ordered. There were some rather creepers there were staring at my wife which made her uncomfortable and me ready to fling hot beans if things were about to go down. All said though, we live on the wild side and I will be back (my wife says NEVER!) because the food is quite dLish

This place is a total hole in the wall that will satisfy your authentic salvadoreño cravings! Pupusas made to order, steak meat well cooked, rice mixed with beans (matrimonio) super delish. I also saw some Mexican dishes on their menu like sopes and huaraches. My husband and I shared a huarache and it was different than what I am used to. The masa (flour) part was deep fried and more like a tostada. But with all the toppings it was very delicious. I will definitely be coming back to try their breakfast dishes! A local gem once must try! Two thumbs way up

Plato Especial - a feast for kings

Winchester's little secret!!! If you want FRESH authentic Latino food, come to Virginias! Sign no. 1 that it is authentic is that most of the clientele is Latino. Sign no. 2, you can look back in the kitchen and watch them make El Salvadorian tortillas, Papusas and bomb sopes by hand. I have been back many times, and tried almost everything on the menu, from the traditional breakfast to the beef and seafood soups and everything in between. I recommend any of the Papusas, the Carne Asada Sopes, and the Plato Especial - which comes with steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, and a Papusa (at only $15!). You will leave this place fat and happy, and being all your friends back - prices are very cheap and everything I've had there has been super fresh!

    Just arrived. To be continued...

We wanted a light lunch and enjoyed tacos and papusa which was the best I've had in a very long time.

Reynosa not only has you feeling like family but has you leaving feeling like you just left your grandmas home. I love the old school grocery store/hidden gem restaurant in the back theme. We've been here countless times and the man who owns the restaurant is always very pleasant and kind. The ladies in the kitchen are always very friendly and efficient. Pupusas are the best in Winchester and taste delicious. Tacos are great! The drinks are fresh and flavorful. I recommend the tamarindo! Our favorite is their chips and queso ! Be ready for the kick of spicy!

Reynosa Mexican Restaurant is located on Valley Avenue in an older building that, from the outside,…read morelooks a bit worn down. It doesn't have the most inviting exterior, and stepping inside, it feels a little unclear whether it's primarily a grocery store or a restaurant. It's a mix of both, which gives it a unique character, but it can also feel a bit unpolished. The interior felt dark overall, and the space seemed more oriented toward quick service than a sit down dining experience. They do have a drive thru, which is definitely convenient if you're just grabbing takeout. In fact, the whole setup felt very geared toward carryout rather than dining in. If you're looking for something fast and easy, that part is a plus. As for the food, I ordered the burrito deluxe, which came with two burritos but they were closer in size to tacos than what you'd expect from a traditional burrito. The portions were smaller than anticipated, and overall the food leaned heavily on salt, which took away from some of the flavor. The food wasn't bad , but it wasn't anything great They also don't offer complimentary chips and salsa, which is something many people expect at Mexican restaurants. On a positive note, the lady taking the order was very nice and welcoming, which made the experience better. Overall, Reynosa feels more like a convenient takeout spot than a full dine in restaurant. It may work well if you're in a rush and using the drive thru, but if you're looking for a more traditional sit down experience with ambiance and generous portions, it might not fully meet those expectations.
