Had a great time! I haven't visited many korean restaurants in Annandale and this tour showed me some of the hidden gems!

Mina was an incredible guide through a walking tour of five Korean restaurants in Annandale. Everything we ate was delicious, Mina was so much fun and taught us so much, and we had a fantastic time. I would Recommend this tour to anyone! And if Mina ever does a Korean dessert tour, I will definitely sign up!

I went on this walking Korean Food Tour as a solo, senior attendee. Mina was so welcoming and pleasant, I felt at home with the other guests. Thoughtful selection of local owned, small owner restaurants serving delicious foods, provided pleasant service, and combined with Korean history made each stop enjoyable. The food selections were what I've seen on kdramas and wondered about. I will definitely return to Ktown with the family!

After going on several food tours in the D.C. area, Virginialicious is the BEST! With the goal of inviting others into Korean culture and food, Mina guides guests to five of her favorite Korean restaurants in Annandale, home to the third largest Korean community in the U.S. Joining her tour on July 13th, here's my experience. 1) Meeting Point: Once you purchase your ticket, you're sent clear instructions on where to meet and how to find Mina. The meeting point is at a large strip mall with a large parking lot. Once you check in, Mina gives you a name tag with your name in Korean. Our group had around 11 people. Once we were all there, Mina introduced herself, the flow of the tour, and asked that we all introduce ourselves briefly and any connection to Korean and Korean food. 2) Tour: It's all walking, but it wasn't that bad. All five restaurants are only a few blocks from each other. Each restaurant had strong AC and kind staff. Each restaurant already had the food ready when we arrived. Mina would do an intro of the food and then we'd dine. Come hungry! Every spot was unique and provided quality food. Two places included beverages and all gave us ice water. Also, Mina is funny! She's such a great tour guide and worthy of a generous tip at the end. 3) Ending: You end where you start with a wrap up and a surprise dessert from Mina.

Our 1st time taking the tour and it didn't disappoint! We walked to 5 different restaurants, all fairly close together and with a wide variety of authentic Korean food at each place. The tour guide Sun Gi, was awesome! Very knowledgeable native Korean lady who shared interesting facts about Korean culture all along the tour. At each stop our food was hot and ready as well as delicious . We tried bulgogi, tofu soup with beef, kimpop, Korean friend chicken, jajang myun and many others but have forgotten the names of the dishes. The rice noodles were amazing too. Excited to return to this area- Koreatown Annandale VA and eat at these places again!

We had an amazing time at the Koreatown Food Tour by the team at Virginialicious & our tour guide Sujin was so much fun and full of knowledge. We made 5 restaurant stops total and I was already getting full by the third restaurant but couldn't resist all the delicious Korean food lol. The group I went with was super friendly and Sujin taught us a fun Korean game to play as well. The restaurant staff were very friendly and I'm so glad we did this out-of-the-box activity! This is a walking tour so bring comfy shoes. The restaurants are about a 5-7 minute walk from each other. Thank you guys so much for the fun adventure. We'd love to come back again.

Best seafood Korean pancake I've had the good pleasure to taste.

Looking for a foodie adventure? Look no further than Mina's food experiences on Virginialicious. She introduced us to 5 small mom & pops restaurants that are truly hidden gems, particularly to non-Korean speakers. She made sure everyone was able to appreciate what was being served by supplementing our meals with a bit of history and context. Everything was expertly planned so that each restaurant was ready for us and we were able to move from one to the other efficiently. We met many of the owners/chefs too! Whether you are new to Korean food or have explored extensively on your own you will find this tour valuable. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselves and how much we are looking forward to other offerings. Thank you for helping us rediscover the Annandale food scene.

Since I live in northern Virginia, I have been able to take many tours of Arlington Cemetery by many companies, but this tour was completely unique. Brenda, our tour guide, did an amazing job of explaining the deep connection of Arlington Cemetery to World War I, the birth of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, why the Tomb is guarded, 24-7, General Robert Pershing, and it was all fantastic, but she also showed us the Gravesite of James Reese Europe, the African American pre-Jazz great who fought for and was injured with the Fighting 369th, nicknamed the Harlem Hellcats. Possible the most amazing story was that of fellow Fighting 369th member Henry Johnson who single handedly took on 20 German Fighters and won, saving the life of his partner who had been injured. I highly recommend this tour, even if you have already gone on tours of Arlington Cemetery. It will show you a side of our military history that most tours miss!

I hope I can cut through the clutter to show that Fiat Luxe Tours is the one you want. Making arrangements was super easy. Andrew at Fiat communicated with me via email and phone and kept in touch even after the initial contact. The weather on the day our tour was scheduled was going to be questionable, and Andrew kept us updated with details and advice to make sure our tour went off without a hitch. We chose to take the 3-hour walking tour of the monuments (they have many different tour options). The tour guide was super friendly, professional, and most importantly, knowledgeable. He had access to a wealth of information and could even answer questions that were probably only tangentially related to the monuments and Washington, DC. It was really impressive. Three hours felt like one because the tour guide kept us informed and entertained! Even though it was really cold on the day we toured, we had a lot of fun. The atmosphere was comfortable and familiar enough that we got to know the other tour attendees as well, which was nice. And the best part -- it was at a great price. Compared to other options and considering the quality of the tour I got, this was more than worth it. Anyone who is visiting DC or for even longtime residents who never got around to checking out their backyard, I highly recommend Fiat Luxe Tours.

My girl friends and I signed up for this food tour to eat at food restaurants and have fun amongst each otherm the tour guide treated us like children, and acted like she was a historical teacher the whole time. We were not overly disruptive and just wanted to each other's company while having good food. We signed up for a "FOOD" tour but instead Jen instead that it was also a historical tour and made us very uncomfortable by over-lectueinf and quizzing us about historical facts about Leesburg, slavery and Civil War. At one point, between the third and fourth food tour stop, she made us take a huge detour around the town so she could over explain about histories behind slavery trading in Leesburg. At once point we got really bored and tired of being treated like children (we are all professional women over 30+ years old), and started laughing behind a bit in the street to chat. She had a full to turn to one of my friends and say 'plesee tell your friends to stop talking and pay attention to what I'm saying about these important events.' She over-shared that she leads school tours in DC during g other parts of the year and maybe she confused us with the school-aged children. But we did not enjoy our experience with her. I contemplated not sharing this awhile because I really think hard about leaving a negative review, but even two months later, her condescending attitude and the way we were treated as a group really stings us. I hope this type of tour guide can be curtailed and mapped for a "food" tour experience they advertised and we paid for instead of historical lectures. The tour guide needs to be re-educater.
