i went to lake grove dental today for the first time. i never had a regular dentist that i would…read morealways go to and i haven't been to one in a long time. i was expecting to get the run around like other places I've been to where they make a thousand appointments before they even start any work, but not this place. dr Wilensky took me right in, gave me x rays and a cleaning and then explained to me everything that i had going on and then took care of what i needed done. he was very professional and made sure there was no pain in the process. before i left he schedule a follow up appointment to take care of other issue. i highly recommend dr. Wilensky. i will continue to use him moving forward as my regular dentist.

The cardboard pieces you bite down on were too large for my mouth. I told the technician this, but she insisted we continue. This strained my jaw and my neck. By the end of the week, I was completely bent over sideways. It was so bad that I had to go to physical therapy for 1 month. The physical therapist said it was definitely caused by the dentist appointment. It's been 1 year since I went for a simple cleaning, and I wish I never went. My neck still isn't the same. My two brothers have also been to this place. They have each separately said they will never go again before I ever had this neck issue. One brother ended up with a cracked tooth during a cleaning. One brother had his gums bleeding for 2 days post cleaning. Never again. Save yourselves.

When I called to make an appointment, I was told to come immediately. The crown that Dr. Kahn created fits perfectly, and the color matches all of my teeth. I (and my wife) could not be more pleased with the results. In the past I have also used Dr Hludzinski with equally impressive results. Both doctors make a fantastic team. When my dentist Dr. Grasskemper of Bellport told me this, I was far from thrilled! He recommended Dr.Bear and I'm happy he did. From the start the office manager Mindy made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr.Bears assistant Yvonne did her best to try to assure me that all will be fine and talked to me to help relax me before the procedure. Dr. Bear himself was very reassuring and made sure I was as comfortable as possible during the whole procedure. To be quite honest I was expecting the worse and what I experienced was a caring comfortable experience , ( as comfortable as oral surgery can be) . Dr. Bear made sure throughout the entire procedure that I was okay and explained things along the way making me feel safe in his care. While periodontal surgery is on no ones Christmas list, if you need to have it done I highly recommend Dr. Bear and his staff. Though I arrived 10 minutes early, i was made to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time. The hygienist was rude, insulting and uncaring. I felt I was being shamed for my condition, and was told it would be a long hopeless and expensive journey. This was before Dr Errante walked in. He asked if the hygienist explained everything and I had any questions. He never examined or even looked at me, as he was clearly preoccupied. Worst medical experience of my life, which left me with PTSD, and fear of going to the dentist, any dentist. When calling Dr Romeo's office for a F/u appt recently I was informed Dr Grassa had moved to Sayville so I called and made an appt. I saw him recently at Sayville Family Dentistry. My initial interaction with the friendly receptionist was positive. I then saw the hygienist who informed me I may need to return for two deep cleanings, although she had not taken X-rays yet nor had she done my cleaning yet. I was then seen by Dr Grassa who briefly examined me then told me I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and the tooth required removal. Never showed me the tooth in question by using a mirror, never showed me anything on X-rays and never explained why he came to his conclusion. (I had X-rays done 8 months ago and have never had tooth discomfort). He told to see a dental surgeon. No referrals given for a dental surgeon, no documentation given as to why he reached his conclusion but just a very dismissive /disinterested attitude about my dental care as he just walked out of the room. I do not recommend this dentist and I already have an appt. with a new dentist. I should have seen Dr Romeo instead of wasting my time.

He is very Experienced (23 years in practice), Professional and personable. After repeating X-rays and examining my teeth, he determined that there was no need for "a cap" as suggested by Dr Grassa and no need for 2 deep cleanings as suggested by Arkna his hygienist. He did however have to reclean my teeth despite my having done a cleaning a week ago at Dr Grassa. When something doesn't seem right ALWAYS go for a second opinion!!

After many years of not going to the dentist for fear of another bad experience I could wait no…read moremore. I read many positive reviews so I took my chance. I was greeted with smiles and soon after they sensed my fear the lovely receptionist went out of her way to make me feel relaxed. Not just her but everyone! My fear at the dentist also includes the dreaded cleaning. I have super sensitive teeth and the hygienist went out of her way to make sure I was not uncomfortable in any way. Cleaning and X-rays complete! Unfortunately the worst news followed - root canal. Took me a few weeks to be bold enough to return, but I did. Scared was an understatement!! I was constantly reminded that that I should not be in any pain and the dentist continually made sure that indeed I was comfortable. After a total of 5 visits my root canal is complete and I can not be more grateful for the outstanding service I received. I may not enjoy going, but at least I know moving forward that I finally have a great dental office to which I need not fear. Thank you to all of Total Family Dentistry for such a pleasant experience.
