The experience visiting the Virga Gallery is the real thing, not the commercial experience you're likely to get at some of the older, stuffier galleries in Laguna, or the amateur experience you might get visiting trendy, out-of-the-way places in this art colony. Chances are you'll meet the actual artist, a lovely Lithuanian woman named Virga, who paints marvelously (what more can I say?)! Other artists on display there are also the real deal, hand-picked by someone who cares. The location, right across from the Museum on the beach side, should be a must-visit on your Laguna itinerary. 4-22-17 Update ... I was shocked and dismayed seeing ANY poor reviews of Virga Gallery. If you come, you will find a kind, generous, exotic and extaordinarily talented artist-turned-curator, Ms. Virga Siauciunaite, showing the best artwork happening today. The new expansive gallery space, right across from the Laguna Art Museum, is the primo location in the entire colony -- a testament to the success Virga richly deserves. With the range of prices of artworks displayed, you're sure to find something for your home or office that you will love for years. read more

Located on the corner of Cliff Drive and PCH, adjacent to Las Brisas, and just steps from the beach, this is a Fine Art gallery with an airy, relaxed, and casually elegant feel that matches the aura of Laguna Beach. Virga, the gallery's owner, is an accomplished painter and a longtime benefactor of the arts. She is also a masterful curator, which makes it possible for the gallery to feature a sizable number of beautiful paintings, and also a handful of gorgeous sculptures. Because the owner seems to have an uncanny ability to select art that is both varied and complimentary, the collection will appeal to art appreciators, buyers, collectors and investors of diverse tastes and needs. Pricing is competitive, too, with small and large pieces ranging in price from as low as $100 dollars to as high as $60,000 dollars. If you're looking for that perfect painting or sculpture and are in the Southern California area, Virga Gallery is not to be missed. You can make it a day by visiting the gallery and treating yourself to lunch or dinner at Las Brisas. The view is incredible!!! read more

I have always enjoyed visiting the Laguna Beach and visiting it's many art galleries! A friend recommended that I visit Virga Gallery, knowing that am interested in the city's art scene. I recently had the opportunity to visit the gallery for the first time and was very pleased with my experience! Upon entering the gallery I was greeted by the owner Virga Siauciunaite, who has been in the art world as an impressionistic painter for most of her life. She was very friendly and welcoming, as was the atmosphere of her shop. Virga's Gallery features an original and unique collection of her own works and of artists from around the globe! Her gallery is located in one of Laguna Beach's busiest intersections, right next door to Laguna Art Museum, near Las Brisas restaurant, and across the street from Urth Caffé! I highly recommend visiting Virga's Gallery the next time you are in Orange County! (See below for original paintings and artworks by Virga Siauciunaite of Virga Gallery, enjoy!) read more

This gallery is new this year. It features unique, powerful, and beautiful artwork by Virga, the owner. She is usually there herself, and is fascinating to talk with. Her passion for and knowledge of the field is evident when you talk with her. Her artwork is probably most reminiscent of the Impressionists, particularly Van Gogh. She has expertise in a variety of media, but the gallery emphasizes her figurative oils. I also enjoyed the work of the visiting artists she has, most of whom were chosen from the Festival art show. The gallery is across from the art museum, and right near the beautiful ocean walk at Heisler Park. Inside, there is an open, breezy feeling due to the extent of glass along the front and back walls. Altogether, this is my favorite gallery, and it should be a required stop for any art lover in Laguna Beach! read more

Virga gallery in my opinion is the best art gallery in Laguna Beach. It features not only great art from Virga Siauciunaite herself, but art from a variety of very talented artists. The selection is extensive from figurative to abstract. There seems to be something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable for original one of a kind spectacular art. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. It's not one of those snooty galleries where you hesitate to ask a question. Virga Siauciunaite is the owner and happens to be an extraordinary artist, with a list of awards dating back to the mid 1970's. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and is happy to answer any questions you may have. Enjoy! read more

Virga Gallery was just voted the best art gallery in Orange County for 2017 (Hot List), and I can see why. It's located across the street from Laguna Art Museum, and its artworks are museum quality. There's a great show right now of many artists, but it's even more outstanding when it's just Virga's art, which is unique and very expressive. I met her there, and she's great to talk to. read more
