I have always enjoyed visiting the Laguna Beach and visiting it's many art galleries! A friend recommended that I visit Virga Gallery, knowing that am interested in the city's art scene. I recently had the opportunity to visit the gallery for the first time and was very pleased with my experience! Upon entering the gallery I was greeted by the owner Virga Siauciunaite, who has been in the art world as an impressionistic painter for most of her life. She was very friendly and welcoming, as was the atmosphere of her shop. Virga's Gallery features an original and unique collection of her own works and of artists from around the globe! Her gallery is located in one of Laguna Beach's busiest intersections, right next door to Laguna Art Museum, near Las Brisas restaurant, and across the street from Urth Caffé! This gallery is new this year. It features unique, powerful, and beautiful artwork by Virga, the owner. She is usually there herself, and is fascinating to talk with. Her passion for and knowledge of the field is evident when you talk with her. Her artwork is probably most reminiscent of the Impressionists, particularly Van Gogh. She has expertise in a variety of media, but the gallery emphasizes her figurative oils. I also enjoyed the work of the visiting artists she has, most of whom were chosen from the Festival art show. The gallery is across from the art museum, and right near the beautiful ocean walk at Heisler Park. Inside, there is an open, breezy feeling due to the extent of glass along the front and back walls. Altogether, this is my favorite gallery, and it should be a required stop for any art lover in Laguna Beach! read more

Virga gallery in my opinion is the best art gallery in Laguna Beach. It features not only great art from Virga Siauciunaite herself, but art from a variety of very talented artists. The selection is extensive from figurative to abstract. There seems to be something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable for original one of a kind spectacular art. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. It's not one of those snooty galleries where you hesitate to ask a question. Virga Siauciunaite is the owner and happens to be an extraordinary artist, with a list of awards dating back to the mid 1970's. i have lived in laguna beach for over 40 years and visited most of the galleries in laguna beach. virga gallery stands out for excellent portrayal of human motion in expressionistic form. the owner and artist is an art accademy graduate with a master degree in fine art. she spent all of her life in the field of art including working in commercial art enterprises, showing her work in museums in united states and europe and teaching art to others. the artist is at the gallery providing excellent atmosphere and useful information to visitors. i highly recommend a visit to virga gallery located adjacent to the laguna art museum. al.r read more

Virga Gallery was just voted the best art gallery in Orange County for 2017 (Hot List), and I can see why. It's located across the street from Laguna Art Museum, and its artworks are museum quality.
