I went in today to get my acrylic nails removed and my appt was at 10:30 and I got there early, and they let me take a seat so my appt started at 10:28 so I sat down expecting to stay like an hour but this lady took less than 10 minutes to take off my nails !!! And you all know that stupid like buzz razor thing that like makes your body tingle well guess what SHE DIDNT EVEN USE THAT!!! But yeah I would toltaly recommend this place! read more

On April 18th My daughter in law took my grandchild and me to V.I.P. Nail Spa for manicures. We had to wait for 30 minutes past our appointment time before we could be seen. My technician didn't soak or trim my nails before filing them. She cut my cuticles so close on one finger she caused me to bleed. My daughter in law's experience with her technician was not any better. After having her nails filed, the tech also cut her cuticle so close it caused her to bleed also. After filing her nails and using lotion on her hands the tech did not have my daughter in law wash her hands to remove the lotion and nail dust before putting on the nail polish. We don't recommend VIP to anyone unless they want lousy service read more

I went in to get a pedicure. Salon was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I was chitchatting with the person I came with and saw that the pedi technician was cutting the corners off my toenails and also cutting strait down. What nail technician doesn't know that they're not ever supposed to do that? I have seen it done for someone with ingrown toenails but I DID NOT have (nor have I ever) had ingrown toenails. I asked her politely to please only cut the nail straight across and was horrified when she did the same thing to the other toe. She also didn't completely cover the nails with shellac and got glitter all over my skin. I will never go back. read more

I got my graduation nails done here at Hot Spot. They did a great job! All nails over $30 are 15% off until I think May 15th for their 1 year anniversary of new ownership, so I was able to get my set of acrylics for about $60. It only took about an hour to do the full set. read more

The worst nail experience I've ever had. I was told I needed a new set and I couldn't do a fill. Even though I had just got a full set there 2.5 weeks ago. Okay- so I choose a new powder and she gives me a new set but the powder won't dry. Their solution? Add another layer of clear powder. So I had thick nails that were NOT dry underneath. When I brought my concerns up to the owner, he dismissed it and said they know what they're doing. He admitted to getting the wrong powder originally but assured me they could "fix it". When my nails where being shaped they LITERALLY peeled off due to the original coat not drying. The nail tech told me she needed to add ANOTHER layer of clear coat. She did and, again, I was able to easily peel off each nail. At this point I asked her to take them off. 3 hours later and the pictures are how I left. The owner said nothing and still expected me to pay for the nail kit. He didn't attempt to schedule another time nor was it even addressed. I just got a blank stare when I asked if he really wants me to pay for a kit with how my nails looked leaving. My first experience was so good here but I'll never be back because of how the owner handled this. read more

I went in to get the full wax before I go on a trip in a few days. She did greatwiththehalf leg, eyebrows, upper lip and underarms. But either she doesnt know how to do a Brazilian or she doesn't know how to do a Brazilian on a plus sized person. It was so rough, she really struggled and it hurt so bad. And no, this is not my first time either. On top of that the wax was too hot. I come here because of the attention to detail. Fast forward I got my lashes done here. Cost $150 The lash tech asked how I wanted them. I said natural looking and NOT thick. I made it very clear. She showed me pictures and I said I Do NOT want anything that thick or long. I showed her another picture she said she could do them. When we're all finished I was shocked! And said these are way to thick and long, can you please cut them down and thin them out. She said no she couldn't do it. The lashes hung so low in my vision it was dangerous, also causeing headaches. I called the shop asked if I could get some remover or to get them taken off and they did not want to help what so ever! She's super friendly and does not kill your nail beds as other salons do. She always has a huge selection of colors too... Kelly is the pedicurist. Today was my second time at The Hot Spot. I've had two amazing pedicures and both times, the nail techs were so lovely and they make sure to give 110% to their clients. Today, I had my hair highlighted and cut. If I could give 100 stars to Bre, my stylist, I would. She spent 3 hours turning my self-inflicted, broken, quarantine hair into soft, natural, and healthy locks. My hair hasn't looked this good in YEARS. I cannot stress enough the care that she gives to her clients. As long as she is there, I'll never go to anyone else. She's simply amazing. Sooo hit or miss. It feels like for every GREAT set I get from here (& there have been quite a few) there's 3 BAD ones. The level of unpredictable is unmatched. This is one of those. I went in w a photo, & while I know I can be a high maintenance & particular with my nails, I was prepared. The results I got was no where near what I was looking for, & halfway through I mentioned multiple times how I didn't like them & it was "sit tight, let me shape, oh after they're painted you'll like them just wait..." then finally "well they'll look good in two weeks" I didn't drive 40 minutes for a 2 week process. & then on top of that finished off the set with blaming me for my disapproval? This is extremely disappointing as they know me by name when I call in to make my appts at this point. & like I said not every set is bad, some are sooo beautiful but I just can't deal w not knowing if I'm gonna walk out feeling like Beyoncé or a Garbage Pail Kid. Between the shape & length & excuses made to not redo the work I hate this set so fckn much. but maybe in 2 weeks they'll look just ok. Won't be returning. read more
