Small town pizza company has a taste that beats everyone else. Welcome to Viola Pizza company small…read morebusiness but big heart . They have a small menu and limited hours but so worth going here. We were greeted by the waitress at the front counter and placed our order. Now we planned on getting there pizzas for lunches the following week and they did warn us they are a 16" large pizza. (So come hungry). My wife had a Hawaiian which she created off their menu. I did the Tractor Pull which is a lotta meats, pepperoni, sausage.ham, bacon&ground beef. We also had their Garlic Knots, so good. We had a couple of slices of our pizzas and boxed the rest. So day 2 we placed a few slices in the air fryer and it was exactly like we just got a fresh pizza from them. A few things about their pizza, this is like NY style but the crust is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The Garlic Knots so buttery and soft with some perfect tasting sauce to go with. Yes a little pricey but compare this the big city and it is right on. We will be going back here.

Went there a number of years ago but could not remember tge place. My wife on the other hand knew…read moreexactly where it was and even where we sat. She could have told me anything and how would I know? Anyway, we were seated very quickly and our server was there before we knew it. He took our drink order and have us a few minutes to check out the menu. When he came back we asked if we could do half Demarco and half sausage and pepperoni. Said yes so that's what we got. Pizza came quick and it was prolly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long long time. Although I can't remember the last time I was there, but pretty sure it was good then too. I will say that there was one very serious problem and we could have handled it better. You see there were 4 of us with one being our 9 yr old grandson. Pizza had 8 slices, so we each had 2. Now tell me how fair is it that Grandpa only got 2 and the kid got 2. We should have ordered a 2nd pie. Great place, great food and great location downtown, so join the community and have a great slice!

After watching Sooooo many pizza reviews, we decided to try the Neapolitan style pizza. Thin crust and cooked in a wood fire oven. So.... First and foremost pizza was good. Being a Neapolitan style, I was expecting a bit more crunch with the slight char. The tomato sauce was very good. You could tell it was fresh crushed tomatoes and basil. Bartender and our waiter were awesome. Talked to us about the local brewery, the styles of pizza, etc. very friendly and cooperative with all the questions we had. We were both pleasantly surprised by this local downtown place. Good atmosphere and good food. A must try when downtown Chattanooga. They do offer Detroit style and New York style pizza as well. It all depends on the way YOU like your pizza cooked! VERY good pizza! I would probably give this pizza, on a pizza scale; an 8.2 which is pretty high. A little flop on the crust, but the crunch, char and the amazing tomato sauce, partnered with the atmosphere and friendly staff made it a must visit pizza place! We finished it off with the local made gelato. I had milk and honey and my wife had chocolate. Both were very flavorful and refreshing on this very hot day. Community Pizza is fitting as everyone either in or around this community should stop by and try this pizza! Thanks for a great afternoon experience!

The staff members were very sweet both on the phone and in person. The place was packed when we picked up our food but everyone looked happy and no one was waiting. We will absolutely be back!

I will discuss the service, ambiance and the food. My experience with the food was the Caesar Salad, Lasagna, and tastes of food from those at the table. Service was great. Our server was attentive, answered our questions and even brought me some extra pepperoncini when I asked for them. She was pleasant and patient as we pondered our selections. When my adult son asked about what was tap, she brought a taster for him. Across the street from the courthouse, on the square of a town founded in 1809, the restaurant inherited a period building with brick walls. I have been in Italy and I can say that the decorations were authentic. This MAY have been a church in a previous life, but there are a few clues, particularly to loft at the front of the building. A spiral staircase leads to it, about a story and half above the main floor. Closed to visitors, I understand at times it is a live music stage. Food was good - very good, just not good enough to warrant a full 4*s. So here are my picky comments. Lasagna was a large portion and well balanced for flavor. I'm used to pasta, even in lasagna to be more al dente. For the price, there was not enough meat to satisfy my taste buds or wallet. We opted for the family sized Caesar salad, which again, was good. I'm used to more garlic as well as a more flavorful and more abundant dressing. Two pizzas also came to our table and the four diners enjoying them, liked them much. For a wood fired oven, I am more used to a more prominent smoky flavor - from my small taste. Toppings were adequate and looked great on the pie when they came out. Chianti is only available by the bottle. I would have liked a single glass. It could grow on me if I lived or worked in the area. I would not object to going back with my party when we visit, but a 75 minute drive is not worth the trip.
