The pizza is 5 stars! Loved my personal pan size that I ordered. The dough/crust is perfectly crisp on the edges and soft inside. They also gave me a few bread sticks with my order. They were also wonderful but I wish I would have known they we're going to be there and I would have asked for some marinara for dipping. The Greek salad was bigger than I expected. Lettuce was fresh, feta was AMAZING, house italian dressing was also great! I love an Italian dressing with a good amount of zest and tang from the vinegar. Only tiny bit of feedback I have is there were minimal amounts of each topping on the salad and the pieces were large. I ended up chopping all the toppings and about half the lettuce mix and it made the perfect size side salad. I was too full to eat the baklava with my meal but it was tasty the next day straight out of the fridge with a cup of coffee! Service was 10/10! read more

This is my first time in the area for work. I always look for good food and this place got great reviews. Let's start with the good. Called and ordered 1 large pepperoni and some mozzarella sticks. They told me 20mins and were spot on. The food was hot when I got it and good but not great. They gave me a medium pizza so that was a little irritating but not bad. Everyone is trying which counts for me. The marinara now was pretty good. Fir the bad and this I can't understand. About 10 small pieces of pepperoni on the pizza. Not horrible but come on. You make pizza and the toppings are important. The mozzarella sticks you can definitely tell aren't made in house. They are frozen and it's noticeable. The last bad thing was that the ranch is packers of hidden valley. Being an Italian restaurant I honestly expected a little better. I probably won't go back to this place if I'm in the area again. I love that the woman who took my order over the phone was so sweet. The pizzas are 2 for 1. I got the house special and it was ok. The veggies didn't taste that fresh. We also got an extra cheese pizza that was way better. Two pizzas for $18. Can't beat it. Way better than the cheap chain restaurants. read more

These guys rock! Im from California and visiting my mother and boy I wish I knew this place existed when I first got here. I added them on yelp as apparently no one in McMinnville uses the app lol. At first glance the place looks a tad run down, but inside is very clean and nice. Their sandwiches are delicious and are served on the best bread. The pizzas are by one get one every day..... This establishment was in walking distance from our hotel and it is wonderful. Very Clean and the staff were very friendly. The food was exceptional. We both got the Rafael's super sub and were impressed. The bread was fresh and toasted to perfection. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The meat was delicious. I'd recommend this place to anyone. They've been expanding their store, and I think they're done now. They added more room for seating. We love the pizzas and wings. Buy one, get one pizzas, for equal or lesser value. We usually get take-out, but we sometimes dine-in. We usually order BOGO House pizzas..well-built, well-cooked, with a terrific meat sauce. The menu is massive - I don't know how they do it. I'm not a fan of the lasagna or spaghetti though. The hot sandwiches are tasty, and all of the prices are competitive. The employees are nice and hard-working. read more

Just moved to the area from California with the knowledge that good food was going to be the hardest thing to find. We decided to try Rafael's based on the 5 star review it had. We were disappointed. It is a really small restaurant, but It is clean and tables wiped down when guests leave. The menus is extensive, and almost too many choices. You order and pay at the counter like any fast food restaurant. Then sit down and wait for it to be brought out to you. I had the vegetable lasagna and side salad, and spouse had the gyro salad. EVERYTHING is served in styrofoam. Not what I was expecting. I am not sure how much of the chemicals in styrofoam leached into my food because of the sauce being hot. (I have stage 4 cancer, and this put me into a panic). You also get plastic silverware to eat with. Now for the food and drink review... First, went to have ice tea which comes in big containers like McD, it was old and had that funky beginning to turn because it's been sitting out too long taste (don't forget the styrofoam cup). Went with a soda instead and no ice because not sure if it's unfiltered tap water. Next, both salads were served on a bed of iceberg lettuce; his had some gyro meat, and mine was a typical salad. Neither salad was special, and without some type of spring mix really boring and no nutritional value. Again, I had the veggie lasagna. It came out hot and cheesy, the sauce was ok but a little sweet to me. They did serve some bread sticks (pizza dough?). They were really dry and thick. Spouse asked for some of the marinara sauce and they were happy to comply with that request. The 2 girls working the restaurant were really nice, and helpful. They cleaned things up right away. The staff gets 5 stars from me. I was unable to see behind the counter to where the food is cooked to know if it is prepackaged and just heated in a microwave, or prepared fresh daily. I do know that with the long menu and the variety of choices it is usually hard to cook everything fresh. I really miss Having a good meal when going out to eat. I was hoping that Rafael's would be that shining star, but it was an epic fail for me. I know that we won't be eating there again. read more
