I don't think they are too popular in the US so I was surprised that there was a spa locally that specializes in it. One of my good friends actually got me a gift card, which is how I learned about this place. The spa is very discreet. It's a little off the main streets at the end of a residential area with no overt signage so I actually drove past it at first. The good thing is that there's a large parking lot so you don't have to worry about finding parking. Right as you walk inside, you truly get the spa experience. It's well designed, quiet, calming inside. The head spa experience was the same as the ones I've had before - starts with a consultation and scalp examination using the camera, bring up any concerns to determine the right treatments, and ends with another scalp examination to see the results. I had Michelle helping me who was really great. She was knowledgeable, addressed all my concerns, and I thought her suggestions were all good. I added on a lymphatic facial massage, which I think is well worth the price. My hair and scalp looked and felt really great after. The whole experience was so relaxing and one of the best self care things you can do for yourself or gift someone you love.

I'm already doing a lot of things to try and up my T naturally like cryotherapy, weights, etc. but why not try it out, I thought... So... I went to Ageless Men's health and received shots 1 or 2 times a week which was pretty rough on my schedule because their office is way up 183. I had great results with them and I loved the staff there but in the end weekly shots were taking up too much of my time (especially when I needed to be out of town and had to travel with needles). After mentioning I was doing this, a friend told me you can get pellets that slowly release the T over 4-6 months vs getting shots weekly so I decided to look into that. I went to Austin Clinic for Men and ended up talking with Eugene who is fantastic. I've had the pellets for a few months now and for me, they seem to be working way better than the shots did and I don't even need to think about it which is fantastic. If you think you might benefit from T supplementation I'd recommend them for sure. p.s. Yes, the pellets are surgically implanted in your butt and it's not fun (painful, TBH) but for me saving all that time going back and forth to get shots was well worth it.

I've waited a long while before writing this review. I had one of what was supposed to be two…read moreprocedures done for the crown and back of my head. The crown was first and it was just before Thanksgiving. It was by far the most excruciatingly painful experience of my life. I've had 3 kidney stones and while those are nearly unbearable, this 10 hour procedure was nothing short of torture. There are no words, even today to describe how close to passing out in shock and pain I was many times over those 10 hours. But once you start, you cannot stop until its done else your follicles die. The problem for me was that their pain medication (both types) had no effect on the vast majority of my head. So I felt each one of over 200 shots into every portion of my head, top, sides and back. Each shot is incredibly painful. Try over 200. Then comes the harvesting, mostly from the extremely sensitive sides of my head. This wasn't bad in areas that were numbed (maybe 40%?) but most areas were not so I felt ever drill, every hole that was made into my head and each plug with follicle and tissue that was pulled out. Over 2000, two THOUSAND times. At some point I begged for them to take me to the ER. The tech asked what I thought they could do for me. I said give me some pain medication as I couldn't take it any more and had to have some relief. Waterboarding has nothing on this stuff I would imagine. Now comes more shot attempts to try a different type of medication in my head. Painful, painful painful. The shots had no effect again on much of my head. Then comes drilling new holes into my head then inserting the follicles into them. Again, over 2000 for this set. One, 5 or 10 would be too much for most people. If you've ever had a shot or incision in your head, then you know how painful even one is. Imagine nearly 5000 total over a 10 hour period. Almost non stop. (200+ shots, 2000+ bores and removals, 2000+ cuts and insertions) The only pauses were when I begged the tech to please stop for a moment. I was balling at times. Grown man. The staff. Bless their hearts. With the exception of the actual tech who performed the procedure, the entire staff was very professional, kind and helpful. It can't be easy to witness someone in that much pain for 10 hours straight. I felt for them. I can't say the same for the tech who performed the procedure. He made things far worse than they had to be. I would beg him to stop for a moment to let the pain subside a bit before continuing and at first he did. But sometimes he would clearly get frustrated and would just jab jab jab AFTER I begged him to stop which brought me to the edge of passing out in pain. I was supposed to have two procedures done top and back. The two procedures were equal treatment but the first was heavily weighted on the price so the 2nd one was much less expensive, even though it was the same count. I was never able to go back due to how the first one went so I have some hair on top but no hair on back and it will stay that way unless I can find another company that knows how to do this without so much pain.

I waited to write a review until I saw at least preliminary good results and well, here I am. The team was nice and really took their time during the procedure to get everything right with an experienced surgeon and experienced techs. They used the latest FUE techniques and built a hairline that looks very natural. All of the above were very important to me in choosing a clinic. There are no rows to be seen.
