I was very impressed with the warm greeting and the atmosphere. The lobster bisque was very good, but I did not enjoy the garlic knots. Even though the waitress was very nice, and served with a smile, my soup and knots came out way before my friends calzone did (served cold) even though she knew that was all I was going to eat. When it came time to refill my water, she took my glass sat it down on a ledge, while she took care of the to go boxes on another table. She preceded to clear off some of their items off their table, then went to check them out, she talked with others at the register, came back to the other table and gave them their check, and then I finally got my refill with a smile. At this point, I was upset and determined to give her less of a tip. When I had to go to the ladies room, I almost (missed by a thin margin) got hit in the face with a freshly made pizza, because another waitress was going to fast around the corner. Great pizzeria! The crust is just right. I ordered the Mediterranean with oil and garlic instead of tomato base. The crispy eggplant, artichoke, roasted tomatoes, and olives blend together wonderfully delicious then topped with pesto and fresh mozzarella. The crust was cooked perfectly. The restaurant was clean, the music did not overpower our conversation. Our service was very attentive and helpful! We will be back for lunch and probably try dinner soon. Oh my gosh! I swear I thought I wrote a review for this restaurant already. I actually recommended this place to my sister and her boyfriend and was shocked to see she wrote a review for Vinzo's before I did! I love this restaurant! First off, their staff are extremely welcoming and attentive. I went with my mother and best friend yesterday night and the waiter was phenomenal. My mother ordered the lobster bisque and the first bowl we had was a bit salty so we told the kind waiter and he brought out a new bowl with more cream to balance the stock. The lobster bisque was AMAZING! and this is coming from someone that is not fond of soups! My favorite dish is the shrimp calabrese and my best friend had their bolonese and it's his new favorite dish beside the lasagna there. Their service is great all visits I've gone. I've never had a bad experience here and I doubt there will ever be a bad experience. They brought out the wrong entree but immediately corrected the mishap. The portions are definitely shareable! Don't waste your time going to overrated Italian places like Olive Garden or Buca di beppo. This place has authentic Italian food with the right flavor and prices to go along with the amazing food and staff. read more

Our first visit since they moved. The pizza and the wings are the best here. Prices pretty good with their specials. The new decor is very clean and attractive, considering the strip malls age. Very nice inside still has the same server as Italian village. We don't live nearby but if you go to Walmart in Casselberry its worth a stop. I'm usually not one to write a review good or bad unless the experience was exceptionally over top good or it was absolutely terrible. Unfortunately this is one that the experience started off badly when I called to place the order. As I'm trying to give the lady my information and order, she interrupted me a minimum 5 times. The one thing I can say is my order was ready when I arrived, about 10 minutes before she said it would be. Bravo for that. I ordered spaghetti and meat sauce, there was plenty of spaghetti but very little meat sauce. I usually can make 2-3 meals out of the same size order from a competitor just down the street. There was barely enough sauce for one meal, and I think you probably get more meat in a McDonald's regular hamburger. The bread seemed like it might have been made late yesterday. The price $16.57, for the exact same order down the street, $14.79It's too bad since they are less than 1/4 mile from my house. Guess I'll drive the 3-4 miles down the road to the other place. This restaurant was known as Italian Village and was located a few doors down from it current location. They now occupy a corner location in the same plaza that has had several restaurants in it that didn't do well. Italian Village has been here for years though so its logical that they would take the larger space. My family has been eating here for years...10 or more. Mostly take out/delivery but the occasional eat in. Never had any issues with the food...until now. The pizza was really really good here for many many years.After the change it is still good...but the dough is no longer handmade...or its processed differently. Im not saying it comes out of a bucket or anything...its just not the same as it once was. Dough makes 50% of flavor of the pizza to me...if not more. We went to eat in yesterday and I was quite disappointed in the food overall. My son had a kids portion of spaghetti and meatballs. The portion was great and it included one meatball...most only include one with a kids portion. It should be said that they have really good marinara sauce...but that day it was all watered down. I think they forgot to drain the noodles or something...the lower he got the more it became a lake. I ordered their special "Chicken Delight". Grilled chicken breast on a bed of fresh spinach drizzled with a balsamic reduction and served with vegetables. The chicken was a great portion and almost cooked through...a thin bit of pink down the center(not acceptable). The balsamic dressing was nice. Then the shock of finding the vegetables were previously frozen and not fresh at all. I tried to get a carrot on the fork and it was basically bouncing the fork tines off. To top it off they were not cooked...I mean they were thawed and may have been in a pan as an afterthought for a minute. They were cool to the touch...cooler than the room. Broccoli, carrots and green beans should not come from the freezer in a restaurant. You can buy these fresh all day long. I hope they read these reviews and improve. I'm not sure how this place has such great reviews. The staff was very friendly but the food was not good. We started off with ordering the calamari, which was soggy and tasted like it was microwaved. We then ordered pizza, which was decent, and their chicken marsala which is labeled as a "customer favorite" on the menu. The marsala sauce tasted very watered down and did not have much flavor. My husband and I tried Vinzo's last night. We had a Groupon that expired. (We knew it was expired and only expected the $35 we had spent.) We got two glasses of wine, one appetizer, and two entrees. The artichoke bites were a nice appetizer. I got the shrimp and lobster cannelloni and my husband got the eggplant Parmesan. Both were good. I've eaten at Vinzo's a half dozen times or so before. I only stopped because they removed the only dish I really liked from the menu. Their pasta is fine, nothing special, but I've never tried their pizza. The wife and I decided to try their wings and pizza for the first time. Worst mistake. Their pizza is horrible. Mind you, it's better than the pizza chain stores. But when you charge upwards of $15 to $20+ for a single pie, you get judged on a different level. Many other places do $20 pizza better. Their pizza was very greasy and the cheese & toppings slid completely off the dough when I picked up the slice. Leaving you with a puddle of cheese and meat on the bottom of the pizza box. The wings tasted OK but were a bit greasy as well. More grease than flavoring. They were on the small side as well. A popular trend in wing sales these days it seems. Keep the count the same but decrease the wing size. For me, this was the nail in the coffin for them. I doubt I'll ever go there again. read more

Love their new layout. You get big portions and food is tasty. The servers are nice but seem to be a little slow. Last week we had lunch. A yummy pizza and one of your specialty salads with salmon. I've gone now 3 times in last month, service a little slow. One was a take out order. I arrived 30 min after placing it and still had to wait another 30. I'll keep coming back as food is fab! Wish this review could be better. Ordered on a Tuesday night. Knots were old, dry and cold- slightly reheated. Large Caesar salad was over priced for what was provided but good romaine and croutons. Cheese on the salad could have been better quality. The pizza was not good at all. It tasted over processed and low quality ingredients. The cheese was perfect formed and plastic at the edges like cheese food. The dough was not great and prepared on a grate with cornmeal.. More like a mass produced pizza- fake ingredients. The meatballs were uneatable. The wings were tender but had a odd flavor like ones you would order from an Asian restaurant and assumed it was from the oil used. It did not match the Italian flavor profile. In short, would not return and did not save any of the food. Believe this was Pizza Village back in the day and super disappointed in the fall off. We found that at Vinzo's! It has a small town vibe with amazing service and authentic cuisine. We even brought my in laws who are tough critics and they loved it. Wow, Vinzo's really lives up to its amazing reputation. We've gotten takeout twice from Vinzo's during this stay-at-home lockdown and both times we were just thrilled. The first meal was chicken parm, eggplant parm and pasta carbonara. All three were just incredible and came with a huge side portion of pasta with a sauce that's so incredibly addictive. This weekend, we got two pizzas - a plain cheese and a "deluxe." My fiancee is from NYC and said this is as good as anything she's had. The staff there is so nice and the food was packaged perfectly and came home piping hot. Vinzo's could very well become our Friday night dining tradition. read more

this is going to be a tough review. my son is a chef in a family owned italian restaurant in Terre Verde Fl. he has been taught by the owner who is direct from Napoli, thus my problem. my son is good, and this where i get in trouble. Vinzos ties him in quality, size and taste of everything we have eaten there.from eggplant to shrimp, meatballs, sausage and pizza. i find no fault in anything we have tried. an to use a phrase, ATSA Cannoli. the desserts are to die for.
