Selection is fantastic! They seem to be pretty organized considering the massive inventory they have, they really seem to know where everything is. I love that they have records constantly spinning. Their prices come at a premium, which I understand for supporting local business, however I expect that to come with premium customer service, passion and expertise to warrant the prices. The staff hangs out in a seating area where they seem very bothered to answer inquiries. The staff is not approachable and it is not clear who is working. When the are chatting amongst themselves it is not clear if they are helping a customer but ended up seeming to just be the staff. I experienced this each visit. Despite the organization, the store does feel a bit dirty. I will likely still go by to browse but wish they had better service. read more

The store itself is well organized and they have mark off and clearance bins as well. They have a deal where you spend $12 and get two free vinyls from specific boxes. This is a great place for vinyl lovers. The selection is broad and prices are reasonable. I have been twice. The first time was last December, and they had live music. On my second visit, I learned that was their first and only time they've had live music. I enjoyed it at the time, but it isn't necessary. One neat feature is they give you a free record from a box at the front door with every purchase. I picked a Christmas album since it is just around the corner. I happen to come across this store when I went to look at a boat for sale near by, so I thought I would stop by. I was immediately stunned by how high the prices are. How ever I still appreciate how many vinyls the owner has in stock. Some are very hard to find in store and I don't really like shopping online. I love Vinyl heaven!! I have been going for around a year now, and it's the best vinyl store I've ever been to. The owner is super nice, and the selection is amazing. There are a bunch of new albums, and a bunch of old ones too. But don't be fooled by the name because there is more than vinyls. There are patches, CD's, cassettes, stickers, vinyl care packs (cleaners, stuff like that), vinyl bowls and band apparel. And if you want something that isn't currently in stock, they will order it for you (That's how I got my Melanie Martinez vinyl)!! And, if you are contemplating buying a vinyl, they will put it on hold for you. Just keep in mind, they will only hold vinyls for a day. All in all, Vinyl Heaven lives up to it's name wonderfully! 10/10 read more

I am so glad I have a record store this good close to me. It's right off of 45 in Dickinson and easy to get to. Great selection of vinyl both new and used. The staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. I got them to order me an indie exclusive vinyl and they got it and let me know. They participate in Record store day as well. Huge selection of music....however the prices for some of the albums are ridiculous. When an album you can get directly from the record label is 2x more at this store is just ludicrous. Also, if you ask a question about an upcoming release, it turns immediately into a sales pitch. I like browsing for records but I don't want to feel like I'm on a used car lot. They know a hell of a lot about classic rock, generic metal, and pop (I mean there is a section immediately when you walk in dedicated to TS), but as for other genres and some real specifics, it's lacking. There is one gentlemen working there who is very knowledgeable about hardcore/punk/heavier music and is cool to talk to but the rest are there to push out product. read more

If you're a vinyl fanatic like I am and you find yourself in league city, this is the place you need to check out, but they don't open until noon. There is quite literally everything imaginable to be found here. Yes there is a lot of good new vinyl to choose from, but there is an enormous amount of the old analog stuff. If you look on the walls you'll see some really cool collectible vinyl. However, on the other end I saw some vinyl that I've seen at Goodwill for a buck selling there for $5 to $10. But with that aside,there's no denying that if you're looking for something in particular, it's quite likely this shop will have it. It's easy to spend more than an hour cruising through the bins. The only thing that would make this shop complete to perfection is if they sold vintage silver faced 70s stereo equipment and vintage turntables. As a result this is a vinyl only store without any equipment. But don't let that deter you, because this is a vinyl lovers paradise. read more

I took my 16 year old son here for his birthday today. It was the first time we had been here. This place was so cool and the selection was incredible! The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. While we were checking out, a very unruly (to put it mildly and generously) customer came in and immediately started causing a scene, with no provocation. It was honestly the most outrageous display that I have seen in any establishment. She was yelling and using very vulgar language at the owner, who handled the situation better than most and simply kept asking the woman to leave. I will most definitely be going back to show my support for this super cool place and lady. read more

I have visited many Vinyl shops in the last few years across TX. So lucky this is down the freeway and just now discovered. All the disks are well laid out. Great inventory of new and old. Very well organized, labels are generally accurate. So when it says Sam Cooke or Beatles. There is inventory in that slot. Drives me nuts to see a label after label and no inventory. Sloppy, retire the label. Easy access to the place too. My son is in wheelchair, so I appreciated the room. Will make this a regular stop from now on. read more

I'm new to the area so currently on the hunt for the some great record shops in the Houston area. First stop was Vinyl Heaven. I was initially impressed with the amount of records they have in inventory. But then I noticed the prices. Many of the titles were marked up $10- $15 dollars more than other shops. After poking around for a bit I couldn't bring myself to shell out 35-50 bucks for a record that would normally cost 22- 35 bucks. Long story short, great shop, prices high. read more

went in today to look for a couple of records and walked out in tears. first of all, the prices were outrageous. saw a $70 vinyl that was $39 at target. save your money and GO THERE! on top of that, the owner was downright rude and disgusting to the people in her store. customer service was nonexistent to her. after walking around for a few minutes trying to find something DECENTLY PRICED, an older gentleman came in with some questions about vhs tapes. the owner was absolutely disgusting in the way that she treated him. she was extremely belittling to him and the questions he had. she stated that she doesn't sell vhs and that she "didn't want to deal with them" and told him to just look them up to see how much they're worth. the gentleman didn't have a computer or even know how to turn one on. once he said that, the conversation got worse. she was giving nasty looks not only to me, but to the older gentleman for no reason. it seemed like she was just trying to shoo him out of the store. my mother then jumped in to try and offer suggestions like talking to an auctioneer because the owner was clearly not going to offer any help, advice, or even kindness to the gentleman. she continued giving dirty looks to me, my mother, and the older gentleman. all she had to say were words of negativity and backhanded comments. she kept trying to push that "vhs aren't worth anything at all" and she refused to help the man even LOOK UP ON GOOGLE how much t they were selling for unless "he hired her or paid her because it's just "too much work"". the way she treated the gentleman completely deterred us from buying ANYTHING. after this incident we left and called about our experience. she had no remorse and didn't even give an apology or "i'm sorry that happened". just "i didn't expect anyone to be upset". it's not about what the gentleman went in there for, it's about how he was treated regardless of what he needed help with. absolutely disgusting. PLEASE save your time and money and go somewhere that will actually appreciate your business and treat you with kindness. read more

I was at Cactus and asked why no Sting albums and got "dunno, we are out" and at VH she had Sting in stock and looked up new vs used options for ones that were not at VH. This is such a cool place! A great selection of vinyl, everything from Pantera to Stan Getz. There's also a large area in the back with a $2 section with some choice cuts.
