No one came to let me know if the interviewer was running behind or if there was any change of plans. I ended up having to leave and follow up myself. What stood out most was how invisible I felt the entire time I was there. I noticed I only got acknowledged when I spoke up first -- otherwise, staff walked past without a word. As a Black woman, I can't help but notice these things, because they add up over time. I'm not saying this was intentional, but it left me with a strong impression about the level of care and attention given to guests (or candidates) who aren't proactively advocating for themselves. I really wanted this to go differently. Cooper's Hawk has a great reputation, and I was rooting for a good experience -- both as a potential employee and future customer. Hopefully this feedback helps them look at how guests and candidates are treated when they're not in the room to see it.
