Haven't flown in awhile so I didn't fly in; drove in, watching a rally which had a service stop here. The locals were friendly, and I talked to a guy who was an instructor and seemed to be the airport manager. It's generally a quiet place, with a few small planes coming and going. It'd be handy for flying in for a vacation, though you'd have to arrange ground transportation.
Nice rows of T-hangars. A big dining shelter. A T-33, well-kept, out front. There's a "tower" on top of the airport offices, though it doesn't seem open. Mostly a place to mount antennas, it would be a nice place to observe any comings and goings. read more
