Had some UNFORTUNATE & TRAUMATIZING experience with this store today. I would leave ZERO star if I…read morecan and the store could totally avoid all these if they handled it even slight differently. Saw a used Sigma DP1M on their website (which I have been looking for for ages), called the store to put it on hold and told them I will be there in 1 hour to get it. When I arrived, what I saw is a guy walking out with the very same camera I asked to put on hold. I immediately asked the sales lady why they sold it when it is on hold for me and is there anything they can do. Instead trying to do anything (such as trying to talk to guy bought it to working something out), the sales lady just told me she sold it accidentally & there is nothing they can do and just let the guy walked out. Gotta say the handle the situation extremely poorly and I was very upset & disappointed. Even the smallest attempt trying to fix this (e.g. talking to the guy bought it, at least trying) will change my view completely, but the store chose to do absolutely NOTHING, not even trying. The whole thing definitely ruined my day. I did buy another camera from them after I calmed myself down. They may have good customer service but that doesn't change the fact the store dealt with the situation very unprofessionally and left a customer slightly traumatized, which is terrible for any shop to do.

Sometimes leaving the house and interacting with people really sucks. We had one of those…read moresituations today. You know you suck at customer service when despite solving their problem you made them cry. Buying electronics is a high level decision and requires so many different decisions, even more so when you understand next to nothing about what you're after. This is where essential customer service comes in. The first time I stepped into Ted's the guy at the front (tom) wasn't very helpful, he just pointed me in the direction of what he wanted to sell (he didn't ask me what I intended to use it for or anything), so I went to another shop, most did the same thing actually. Eventually I figured out what I needed and called around for prices, Ted had the best offer and I was pretty much sold over the phone. Matt was great, warm and friendly and didn't rush. Another week I was back to buy a screen and camera grip, the guy (sorry I didn't get your name) was great and helped me select the right product and didn't try to up-sell and suggest all the things the internet told me I might need but didn't. Fast forward three months later, there's some featured I can't seem to figure out, even with tutorials and all. So, I go in stores to ask, Tom gives it a shot though doesn't know, and asks another guy for help, no issues. Except that I felt that Tom dissed me (possibly because I'm a girl) and that he wasn't that interested in assisting me anyway (you don't get commission on helping). I think he's the front of house manager, and as I mentioned he was the first person I spoke to in the store and wasn't great (hence I went else ware to research camera) perhaps because he didn't think I'd buy a camera - but I did. He passed me onto another guy, around the same age (both are around my father's age) who knew the Sony, it took a moment to figure it out, but we got there in the end. Tom went to help someone else, though the second guy wasn't happy about that as he wanted to show us both how to do the thing. The manner from both was a bit on the unfriendly side, cold and condescending, I was made to feel like an idiot for not knowing the answer to the question - but only in the store. I felt very uncomfortable and experienced the highest level of stress you could experience - exam stress. It's one the worst experiences I have ever revived in retail. We may have curled up in a little ball and cried back at the office. I can say that I am certain I will never buy another camera in my life, as the whole ordeal was traumatic and nothing like buying a dress or things I understand, and I will never return to Ted's on Elizabeth, instead I will travel the hour and a bit to another location to seek assistance since there is no Sony store.

The other week I decided to buy my wife a Canon EOS 650D, and after waiting the customary Australia…read moreMonth Tax (whereby things that are made near to us (CN) somehow take longer to arrive on the shelves than Europe and the US), I saw the model in question on display at Ted's. I took a leap of faith and confessed to the salesman (Colin?) that I was a novice in this, and that it was a gift. He could easily try to upsell me for lenses and accessories. He didn't. He asked what sort of photography my wife was going to do (for her fashion and makeup website) and he explained a number of fundamentals. He was patient, informative and I walked out with a much lighter wallet, but deservedly so, and Ted's has another fan in me. This was the second camera purchase I've made there - great staff, good prices, and customer service that I can respect!

I mean, what could be funner than taking Japanese sticky pictures and decorating them with random little goodies? If you've never played with one of these photobooth machines - put it on your bucket list. It's a bit odd especially if you're not familiarised with Asian ~*kawaii*~ culture, but it's certainly fun! Customer Service: The guy working there didn't speak English very well unfortunately, but he was incredibly kind to help us figure out how to work the machines when adding things to our pictures. He even froze it to allow us unlimited time to decorate! Location: This particular Purikura spot has a nice variety of different machines to use at 16 dollars a turn (several shots included) and you get to choose how many pictures you want afterwards. Honestly, 16 dollars a pop is a bit too expensive for me - but maybe I'm just used to the 8-9 dollars in America. --- Photo World is a great place to go if you're into Purikura or if you just want to try it out. The customer service isn't that great at explaining what's going on, so try going with someone who's experienced. It could get a little confusing.

I wanted to buy a TV and called the store to see what they had in stock. Archie, who spoke to me,…read morewas so helpful. He advised me on a TV and how portable it was. I decided it was too big to pick up, so asked about delivery and installation. He explained all the options clearly and sent me a link to purchase it, talking me through the steps. They should pay him double - he was so courteous and helpful, and made it all so easy, and my new TV will be coming on Monday. I'll definitely use this store for future tech or appliance purchases.

There seems to be a trend with JB Hi-Fi because I experienced the same thing with their CDs when my case were completely scratched up. Service: The employees were kind and helpful, but it's also a bit confusing because they don't have a set uniform. This one guy came up to me and said hello and I thought he was hitting on me (or maybe I just have an overblown ego) and so I awkwardly said hi. He then went over to man the cash register. This guy was in a sweatshirt and jeans. I guess I was supposed to tell he was an employee from the nametag dangling out of his pocket? Overall, the store has okay prices, but honestly they aren't amazing low to the point where you can give up the quality of the product as well. --- Also, JB Hi-Fi has several branches, all in a row but selling different things (with some overlap). Why can't you just combine it into one super-store, especially when they're all next to each other?

I have a rule for myself to always have photos of important events - big birthdays, anniversaries…read moreand all overseas trips - and not just uploaded and tagged on facebook, I want mine printed out. This rule came as I was looking through my parents photo albums from when they were my age and I decided I wanted the same for my kids one day! Photo Q is my photo-printing destination, but they can do so much more including having your best shot put on a: * Canvas * Mug * Hat * DVD They also sell a wide variety of frames, including those fancy digital ones! But Photo Q also do the boring stuff too like Visa and Passport photos (don't we all look pretty in them?) image recovery and photo restoration and they always do it with a smile on their face and in a speedy time.

After almost 4 weeks being transferred (and not returning calls) when i finally received and checked the DVD copies made the video quality was so poor and in blue colour throughout. We were told this is typical and would not offer any refund or any explanation other than it's our fault. As such we were given a sub-standard product, without any issue of refund, or explanation other than it was our fault providing a low quality VCR tape. The whole process was dealt with so rudely that we will not be returning. This was quite concerning given that these tapes were old family videos that we were having transferred for a family birthday present. As such we went to another competitors store and had the VCR tapes checked, new DVD copies made and found that the copies were in fact perfect. Trust me, shop around and I would be very reluctant to use such a service from PhotoQ in the future
