With each move, Monika has made the changes and updates seamless. My job requires me to be on the phone a lot, and sometimes at unscheduled times, Monika has been so accommodating and thorough with changes I've made over the years. When I tell people my insurance office is in Lancaster, a good couple hours away from me, they always question why I don't switch. It's because when the service is efficient, friendly and accommodating, why go anywhere else?

I immediately attempted to contact Shaffer Insurance (twice) for assistance in finding another provider as time was of the essence. Now, based on our history of only one claim and NEVER missing a premium payment in all related years, I would expect, at the very least, acknowledgement of my request for assistance re: this very important requirement for my home. No response equates to a non-caring and unprofessional method to conduct business. In the interim, we have been fortunate to find another agency who immediately resolved our concerns by finding another provider within hours. Therefore, it is with reluctance that I would not recommend Shaffer Insurance.

I found Steve McKinnie's name on the AIPSO website as someone who works with the low-cost insurance plan that CA offers. His was the first of two names in Palmdale, so I called him first. I was immediately unimpressed with his phone demeanor. All I got were brusque, one-word answers, until the end when I asked if I could make an appointment and what paperwork I needed to bring. I nearly called the other place, but figured that I'd already made the appointment and didn't need Prince Charming for the purposes of writing up a quick policy. The next morning I went to my appointment and from outside the door heard what sounded to be a jovial man on the phone on the other side of the door. As soon as I came in, Steve got to business but was also cracking jokes here and there, and I decided that the conversation from the day before must have been a bad connection. Either that, or I was sitting and laughing with a completely different person! Anyway, down to the gist. Steve explained the non-owners policy to me and recommended what he thought would be the best kind of policy to suit my needs and current situation. He ended up talking me out of the low-cost policy because it would have created more headaches for me in the long run. He drew up the paperwork, had me sign everything, and even printed me a copy of the insurance verification sheet (which I needed to send out to another company). Finally, Steve helped me out with something that was not in his professional interest to do. Without going into detail, I will just say he extended me a courtesy that he did not have to, and for which I am grateful. If you're looking for an agent who is informative and to the point, but also presents a laid back atmosphere and is relatable, I recommend Steve McKinnie at Forward Insurance.

I was being charged my regular monthly fee until a month where they decided to charge me double. I tried to get in contact with victor but he wouldn't answer my calls or email me back. My bank ended up charging me over $100 in overdraft fees. I finally got in contact with my insurance company directly through one of victors co workers who not only explained why I was being charged this but was called progressive (parent company) for me and made the process much simpler. After all of this I tried to contact Victor and after explaining the bad experience I have had he just hands me the number to progressive and says he can't personally help me himself. He is incredibly unprofessional and after signing you up for a scam like insurance company he will leave you in the dust. I am with State Farm now and paying much less for the same coverage. ..
