They have a great high-end selection as well if you're looking for something nicer and they'll work with you on your preferences. Just earlier today I saw them pull some bourbon bottles for a customer without him even asking in the $100+ range. It's two brothers that run it primarily and I've always seen one of the two working. I love supporting local businesses and this place is wonderful as far as a family-run place goes. My boyfriend has also had nothing but positive experiences with the employees and selection. Will definitely return!

Can you drive more than a mile down a main road in metro Detroit without seeing a party store?…read more Hardly seems like it, and lots of those lining our thoroughfares range from forgettable to regrettable--dirty, dimly lit, cluttered, a couple of Bell's or Founders craft beers if you're lucky, not a decent bourbon in sight but 68 varieties of Pucker. Fortunately there are plenty of stores that break from that mold, and Mayflower is one of them. It's very clean and well lit with a wide selection of beer, wine, and liquor. We've only bought beer there but found their selection impressive, with some offerings from Michigan/Midwestern breweries that don't turn up often even in "specialty" markets. Price per six pack will run a little higher than most other stores, though maybe that's inevitable with little direct competition in the vicinity. At any rate, it won't prevent me from going there again should thirst strike while driving down Main Street in Plymouth.

The prices aren't great but I've never been to a liquor store with cheap prices. The service is just ok, not pleasant, but not rude. Thus, like I said, for a neighborhood alcohol dispensary, the selection is decent and I don't have to drive far.

The worst customer service experience I've ever had. Cammy is incredibly rude - not only to…read morecustomers but to Jade, the employee she was working with. I brought several games to trade in, plus 2 systems. After scanning through the games, she asked if I had the power cords to the systems. I did not - no biggie, we drove back home to search for them. Returned to turn it all in, but the systems were dead. Apparently they will not charge them there for you and they require a 20% charge. Very specific information that wasn't relayed before leaving the first time. Frustrated - we left again to go plug the systems in. After an hour or so, we returned to finally trade in the systems. The first one went fine, the second we had a slight issue with finding the screen time password. After searching for some time, we finally unlocked it. We went to get the credit and she notes that the serial number sticker wasn't on the console, so they cannot accept it. Cammy had several opportunities to make this a pleasant and stress-free experience, and instead she almost intentionally made it the most difficult thing ever. Knowing we had to leave and return, she could have double checked for the things she knew were required. Is it charged? Does it have a serial code sticker? But instead, she let us make 3 separate trips only to deny us the trade in credit. None of this would have been nearly as frustrating if Cammy had any type of remorse, understanding, or empathy. Jade was the one to acknowledge my situation and apologize. At one point Cammy just tapped on the pin pad with her pen to signal me to click a button instead of using her words. She was very short and rude to Jade as she was using the computer, and even threatened to kill her out of frustration for her asking for help. All of this for me to drop over $500 on a new system. It wasn't like I was only there to get cash. I was there as a customer to spend a large sum of money, and she was doing everything to prevent that from happening. She should definitely NOT work in any customer service role.

No hello, no eye contact, just sighing and watching me till I was gone. On top of the attitude, the prices are way higher than anywhere else in the area. I grabbed a few things and was honestly surprised at the total. I'd be willing to pay a little extra for convenience if the service was friendly, but paying more to be treated like an inconvenience makes no sense. There are plenty of other stores nearby with better prices and staff who actually seem glad you came in. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
