The wine was primarily sweet so not our preference but it was fine. My husband ordered THE SANTA FE / 22 Scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, bacon, onions and pork green chili. It was quite tasty. I will say $22 for a single burrito with no sides is pricy. I ordered SMAVO TOAST / 18 Two over-medium eggs seasoned avocado on freshly toasted artisan bread accompanied by blistered tomatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly but the avocado was just spread on a thick sourdough roll cut in half. It was way too thick and needed toasted. It had 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half. It just needed more seasoning and maybe some micro greens or something added. And again, $18 for just avocado toast is just too expensive. However, we were very impressed the chef came out to ask us about our meal and asked for feedback. I provided feedback on the SMAVO and she was super receptive. Very nice and professional. We were warmly welcomed, along with our pup, and decided to do a tasting. For just $5, we got five 1-ounce pours of our choice. They have a nice selection of wines, a comfortable tasting room, and a super-friendly host. Of course, tasting led to shopping, and three bottles of wine came home with us. The wines were very reasonably priced. A fun, welcoming little winery that was well worth the stop.

All of the staff were friendly and helped us get settled in, even offering a dog water bowl and little dog yoga mats so they would be comfy on the gravel. The owners are stellar to work with and as accommodating as any business could be to both us and our guests. The venue is smaller, but perfect for small groups or to come and have a glass of wine or a small event. Not accounting for the outside seating 20 or so people fill up the space, but it is perfectly intimate for parties of that size or smaller. They offer a variety of wines all made by the proprietors which everyone who attended our event agreed are fantastic. They also offer some light charcuterie if you would like as well. My…read morehusband and I have visited The Royal Gorge Bridge previously and thought that was an incredible experience but the train ride topped it, believe it or not! The scenery was worth every penny and worth the drive out to Canon City. I've been to some beautiful places in my life like Germany, The Netherlands, Alaska, Austria and seen some breathtaking views but I would put this train ride in the top 10 experiences in my life. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, we had great seats on the train but the sights were the winners. Life is short. Take the train ride.

She was warm, patient, and extremely helpful in making the modifications we needed. From that first interaction, we felt like we were in good hands. When we arrived, Rainey was thoughtful and accommodating, especially since my wife and I were traveling with her parents, who needed a little extra support and assistance. Her kindness was greatly appreciated. Then we met Susan in the gift shop...an absolute gem. We immediately connected when I mentioned that my late mother's name was also Susan. I asked if she knew the meaning of her name, and she replied, "Lily." That stopped me in my tracks because the book I'm writing about my mother is titled The Lily of the Valley. I promised Susan that when it's finished, I'll send her a copy. In fact, our conversation inspired me to sit down and write while we waited to board the dome train. Once aboard, Thomas, our server, was awesome. He was knowledgeable, informative, personable, and made us feel less like customers and more like family. His service added so much to an already memorable ride. The scenery is spectacular, but what really made this experience special were the people. Sharon, Rainey, Susan, and Thomas each contributed something memorable to our day. A truly wonderful experience and one we highly recommend. It was absolutely worth the investment...and gave us memories we'll carry home to California with us. Truly a happy ending and we' come again. LOL!
