The sophistication is matched by the beautiful creekside setting. My crew had a flight of red and whites which they claimed were excellent. I'm looking for a quick bite we selected the board which offered olives, cheeses, salumi, snacky meaty meats and tasty spread to bring it all together. Such a perfect interactive share dish to get everyone chatting. Entrees included mussels and hamburger which was done en croute giving it a spectacular presentation. I'm seeing a black truffle/brie versions for mushroom cheese burger. The mussels were in buerre tomate and looked great. I'm adverse to this mollusk so had to judge this reviews on the smiles beeming over slurp slurp sound. Dessert was great. The flourless cake was dense and chocolaty with vanilla quenelle. Cannolis needed some rolling pin love on the pastry. The filling needed mascarpone and a touch less gelatin to lighten the mouthfeel. Can't wait to get back and eat through the menu.

Its his favorite wine cellar in the area for good reason. The food is amazing, view so chill (next to a semi frozen river) and of course the wines!! Being fm CA I intentionally ordered all CO wines. I can definitely taste the difference and was glad to experience it on a special occasion.

Our country club was booked up for Mother's Day brunch but it ended up working out for the best…read morebecause we discovered Purgatory Cellars does a Mother's Day brunch. My mom even said she would prefer to do that in future years vs. going back to the club! It was a very affordable option for Mother's Day but we liked supporting a local business. It also felt more intimate and carefree, not to mention an easy commute & parking situation from where we live. I think the only thing that would make it a perfect 5/5 Star brunch would be bigger forks, add knives, more napkins, & smoother ordering process. We were first timers at the winery so we didn't know what our tickets got us. Really the offering for Mother's Day brunch is on point & some small logistical improvements would really make this a perfect outing. I'd been dying to come to try their wine so this was a great way to be exposed to the winery. We hadn't known that ordering a mimosa meant buying a whole bottle of champagne but after trying their "Indulgence" my mom & I agreed we would get that everytime. They also provide a great plate of food for the ticket price that won't have you leaving hungry. The staff were also lovely. Looks like I'll be coming back soon since my husband who couldn't join us says he wants me to take him to their regular Sunday brunch.

Unbelievable experience and worth every penny!…read more We were so excited to to experience this after years of seeing scenic train rides online. It was on our must do list for our first time in colorado. We purchased tickets online about a month before our trip. The one con is you may be seated with people outside your party depending on the table. I wish they would put this disclaimer online so we could've purchased an extra seat to have that privacy and comfortability. The views were immaculate especially with the fresh powder. All the staff on board were great and attentive. The food was pretty good too. I opted for the chicken sandwich; which was flavorful and juicy. We really enjoyed the bar cart LOL and the open air cart was perfect for the views and pictures. Cons: we found a hair in our welcome cookie and with the price of admission i wish we had our own table and space. Overall, i would recommend taking the family and loved ones on this experience.

I sat in one of the Vista Dome cars, where the ceiling is glass so you can see everything above you, and it was 100% worth it. I ordered the wine flight, and every wine on it was delicious. I also got the burger with a side salad, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much since it's "train food," but the burger was really good--juicy, not dry at all, with a perfectly balanced bun that didn't overpower the meat. I genuinely enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly--very kind, attentive, and welcoming, which really added to the experience. There are several different cars you can choose from: a dining car with a bar, the Vista Dome, or regular coach seating. I went with the Vista Dome and would absolutely choose it again. I also tried the cheesecake. It was okay, but not something I'd order again. That said, everything else more than made up for it. One of the highlights was that there are two open-air cars where you can step outside and take in the views. The ride through the mountains was beautiful, the river was stunning, and stopping near the bridge for about 20 minutes was really cool and gave you time to soak it all in. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I will absolutely do this again. Highly recommend if you're in the area. I will also say with this train.Make sure you sit on the left side of the train. Not the right cause the left side has all the good views. The right has o k views
