We were warmly welcomed, along with our pup, and decided to do a tasting. For just $5, we got five 1-ounce pours of our choice. I think the only thing that would make it a perfect 5/5 Star brunch would be bigger forks, add knives, more napkins, & smoother ordering process. We were first timers at the winery so we didn't know what our tickets got us. Really the offering for Mother's Day brunch is on point & some small logistical improvements would really make this a perfect outing. I'd been dying to come to try their wine so this was a great way to be exposed to the winery. We hadn't known that ordering a mimosa meant buying a whole bottle of champagne but after trying their "Indulgence" my mom & I agreed we would get that everytime. Soooo I took my single glass of wine and had to find a host member to get me a table, go sit and wait 20 minutes just to place an order of hummus. Then another 20 for it to arrive. I just wanted to pop in for a glass of wine and small plate of hummus as snack to go w the wine. Plenty of servers. No big crowds or big rush, the bar was empty and mind you the venue is very small. So not sure what the big deal was. I think owners and management need to educate the newer younger staff on REAL customer service and how to make things work for the customer not the other way around. We hosted a 2 night seminar here with around 15 people each night and cannot say enough great things about The Wine Barrel! The owners are stellar to work with and as accommodating as any business could be to both us and our guests. The venue is smaller, but perfect for small groups or to come and have a glass of wine or a small event. Not accounting for the outside seating 20 or so people fill up the space, but it is perfectly intimate for parties of that size or smaller. They offer a variety of wines all made by the proprietors which everyone who attended our event agreed are fantastic. They also offer some light charcuterie if you would like as well. They offer memberships which are a great value too!
