Located about 1km off of highway 3 on the way to Tecate from Ensenada, lies this quaint winery that features 4 varietals of locally grown grapes. Don't expect to find Wine Spectator quality or even California Napa Valley maturity. While it was a "fun" experience, it was far from proper wine tasting. First off, they use the same glass for each pouring, not even rinsing in between. Secondly, there is nothing to cleanse the palate between tastings. And lastly, there was no tour. However, I later found out that the time we were there, 01/02/17, was still part of the holiday celebration and that tours were given on the weekends.

The road to the winery, and most others we visited, was a combination of mud bogs and road ruts and undulating moguls which made our experience, especially in our Jeep, that much more exciting. I expect that during the warmer months, the roads wouldn't be as rain worn but also not as much fun...
