After the first " face" " get to know you" is over, and imaging, that's it. Patty, Dr Traynor's money assistant is also a translator of questions related to dental serious periodontal decision. It's like talking to an idiot- that somehow if she repeats, it will be adequate professional advice. No, Dr Traynor is very arrogant that her face time is over. Once she does her preliminary, rest is $$$. No explanation, no meeting. She also do not comply with ethical obligations. She will disregard you She is a Glam Doc. " Definition of GLAM-DOC" impressive office, tidy nice flowers- nice navy packet folder--- right zip code--- but it's all about $$$. Looks do not make ethical great dentist or doctors The last time I got a nice navy blue packet with brochures etc., like Dr Traynor, it reminded me of a spine surgeon--who saw me literally 10 minutes and then I never saw him but his liaison pushed on spine fusion with same navy packet like Traynor. Guess what? I did not need spinal fusion per top notch HSS surgeon!!! Can you imagine if I got unnecessary spine surgery by Glam Doc? Similarly, Traynor packet is write up under the guise of calling it a " plan". Ask for clarification, her Doberman repeats herself. Got second opinion from NYU and there were gaps in the write up, and did not make sense... If you need to make big medical/ dental decision- avoid Glam Doc. Like Dr Traynor. - pushing the cash register. Ka-Ching is all she is about.

Mind you, she's seen Dr. Traynor previously. I explain that my wife is as working doc working 14 hr days and that she has no time for self-care and that I expected Dr. Traynor to make an exception to her office policy and allow my wife to see the hygienist without seeing her first. The woman named Yuma, who is a mornon when it comes to scheduling as she made my apt on Martin Luther King holiday initially, starts badgering me so I told her to Please leave my treatment room. She kept babbling so I tried my best to ignore her. She leaves the treatment room and comes back in telling me that I have to leave. I told her that I'm not going anywhere as I was sedated and that, after my teeth were cleaned, I would never go back to their office again. Just as Jenny the hygienist was about to start scaling, 5 Greenwich Police officers arrive and tell me that I have to leave as that's what Dr. Traynor wanted. I then told Yuma that I watned to speak to Dr. Traynor and was told she was in a conference. Such bullship as Yuma was able to speak to her but yet, when I watned to no more than 10 min later, Dr. Traynor was in a conference unavailable to speak. Don't event bother going to this practice. They actually kicked me out while under anestheisa. I am looking into a malpractice case against her.

Super love Westchester Gentle Dentistry! We've been coming here for a few years now. Their approach is as-advertised- gentle. They take breaks, check in to make sure we're comfortable during procedures, etc.- they are dedicated to their patients. More so, they establish a great rapport so it's always nice to catch up with them before and after the appointment itself. I'm sure if you visit you'll also happily become a routine patient of theirs.

I scheduled an appointment expecting to receive an exam, X-rays, and a routine cleaning. I received the exam, X-rays, and an Invisalign consultation. After the dentist completed the exam, she recommended a deep cleaning, fillings, and an extraction. Instead of moving forward with a cleaning, I was taken to speak with the financial coordinator, who reviewed the proposed treatment plan and costs. The deep cleaning would have cost over $1,000, with my portion being $477 after insurance. I was comfortable discussing the fillings, but I declined the extraction because it has never caused me any problems, and previous dentists have told me it could be monitored if it remained symptom-free. I explained that I was not ready to proceed with the deep cleaning and politely asked if I could receive a regular cleaning instead. I was told that I could not and that I should find another dental practice. That response was disappointing and felt unprofessional. What frustrated me most was that the deep cleaning was presented as a recommendation, yet I felt I had no choice if I wanted any cleaning at all. At every other dental office I've visited, when a deep cleaning was recommended and I declined, I was still given the option of a regular cleaning after discussing the risks and benefits. This was the first time I have ever been refused a cleaning altogether. I understand that treatment recommendations are important and that practices need to discuss available options. However, I also believe patients should be able to ask questions, decline recommended treatment, and still be treated respectfully. I left feeling like my concerns and preferences were not taken into consideration. To make matters more frustrating, my insurance benefits were used for the exam and X-rays, and I now have to schedule another appointment with my previous dentist to receive the cleaning I originally came in for. Overall, I left feeling disappointed by the experience. While the hygienist provided excellent care, the way my treatment options were handled and the lack of flexibility in discussing alternatives left me with a negative impression of the practice.
