I even snapped a few pics of the things I liked, because the setup really was gorgeous. The lines were moving quickly and everything felt super organized... until I needed actual help. I asked a lady with a scanner if she could check the price of a GUESS bag I was planning to purchase. She looked me up and down, rolled her eyes, and told me she "doesn't work in that department"... then continued scanning bags. I said, "Okay, then get me your manager." Suddenly her whole attitude changed: "How can I help you?" At that point I said, "You know what? I'm not spending my money here." Told my sister, "Let's keep it moving." And we left that store. Beautiful store. Terrible help. And that's all it takes to lose a sale.

How is this Macy's even still in business the outside of the store looks atrocious. Once you go…read moreinside and look for any merchandise worthwhile. It just does not exist, absolutely ghetto, and there's no help from anywhere or anyone, clothes are all over the floor. everything is at a disarray. I am absolutely floored how this place even stays open. They have nothing worthwhile purchasing in this store. They carry the worst brand names. The fashion is at least 10 years old and the HomeGoods area and the basement is embarrassing. I think the only good part of this Macy's is the Starbucks and this place is even a mess.

You know the store must have done something outstanding when you are sitting at home 5 hours away…read morebut still want to write a review and share your experience even though you have never physically been at the store. I've been wanting a certain pair of jeans for awhile, but with lots of retailers having Friends&Family, thinking R&B might have one soon, I decided to wait. This morning, I found out that there was indeed an F&F event but my size was sold out online. I decided to call the store closer to me (45-minute-drive) to see if they had anything in stock. I was out of luck, but was also directed to the stores that might still carry what I was looking for. Long story short, the store that was supposed to carry those jeans told me they didn't have the item, and sent me to a goose chase. After calling 4 stores and had no luck anywhere, I decided to call the Manhasset location. I'M SO GLAD I DID!!! I spoke with Diana (i hope that's how her name's spelled). She could not be more sweet and helpful. She first looked up her own inventory as well as online. As expected, my size wasn't available. She then offered to check other stores and found a few stores indeed still carry the item (while she also explained to me that the actual inventory might not be entirely up to date, and we all know that's the case sometimes, no biggie). Instead of having me call all over to get those jeans, she offered to personally get in touch with one of the stores to locate a pair for me for a charge send. I used to work for the company (which I did not disclose until later), so I know charge send is a service all the stores offered. But among all the people I spoke with today, Diana was THE ONLY PERSON who offered to do that for me, all for a pair of sales jeans!! She literally made my day, and I am so appreciated of her going above and beyond and even went out of her way. I'm not sure why some R&B stores don't seem to be on the same page in terms of customer service, maybe Manhassets location has better training? Anyhow, I know now that I'll definitely be calling Diana and her store from now on when I am in a hunt for some new additions to my wardrobe!

We stopped by over the weekend to buy some new work clothes. We had a splendid time. The store is…read morequite large with two floors (I think). It shares a large parking lot with all the other affordable shopping stores in Manhasset. The staff was helpful and friendly. The whole clothing section was clean with plenty of options to choose from. The changing rooms were also clean and spacious. The whole concept of Marshalls is it sells designer clothes at a discount because regular department stores may not have been able to sell some of these clothes during the in-season, the sizes were not able to be sold, etc. I saw tons of clothes from well-known companies. I came out with 3 work pants, 2 sweaters, and another pair of pants that could pass for work pants all for less than $150. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you are trying to save and on a budget.

I finally found the time to return to Marshalls, and as soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was…read moretotally different from earlier in the year. The clothing displayed in the women's section was unappealing, with the entire section being disorganized. I was specifically looking for spring/summer colors since the weather has been getting warmer, but the clothing was very dark. These issues were only found on the first floor, hence me giving this review two stars, the second floor was very organized and I was able to find my necessities easily. Hopefully this review can lead to positive changes as I truly loved shopping here.
