I'm regularly impressed with what the Central Coast offers to dog owners and Vineyard Dog Park is no exception. Apart of the Central Coast Dog Park Alliance, this is one of nine semi-private dog parks that request a daily $1 fee or $30 annual fee. You can pay online or in person and of course, it's on the honor system. So don't be a jerk. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon the park was lively. A few labs and golden-mixes in the big dog section and three or four smaller pups in the small dog section. We appreciate the double gated entrance to prevent any escapes and all the signage reminding folks on the rules. While we keep potty bags on hand, we noticed the several maintained stations that offered these freely. It's clear this park is well taken care of by it's patrons and volunteers. Everyone there was pleasant, kind, and very in tune with their dogs. We appreciated the level of care and consideration everyone had with their dogs and their interactions. It made a slightly nervous mom a lot more relaxed. There was plenty of shade, trees to sniff, and toys and water bowls. Basically everything you could possibly need! While we were only there for about 10 minutes we will certainly be returning. It's also very nearby to the 46-West if you're on a wine adventure with your pup and need to give them a good break. read more

Fantastic dog park! Highly recommend to anyone in the area - great seating, lots of water, shade, and balls and frisbees there for you/the dogs to use. Always meet friendly, dog loving people here also! Don't miss this place! read more

I do not understand why most dog parks are covered in bark. This is the second time my girl has gotten her feet cut up from the bark. We would consider becoming members, but I do not feel good letting her play in what is obviously a dangerous setting. The cut is between her front toes and is about 1/2inch long. I soaked her foot in between and thankfully have access to dermabond. This park is roomy and clean, with shady areas to sit and fresh water available in both big dog and small dog areas. I would give this park 4 stars except my girl got hurt both times she tried it out. read more

We had a great time at the dog park with Noodle. Early morning visit before the heat. Met some wonderful locals who gave us some ideas of where to go and what to do. Dogs loved playing too. Really huge pens... one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. Lots of bags to be had to pick up after Rover. They ask for a $1 donation which it totally reasonable to keep the place nice. Will be back next time. read more

This is probably the nicest dog park I have ever been to. I have brought my dog to this dog park twice now and both experiences have been great. There is a day fee and an annual fee you can pay. This all seems to be on the honor system. Both the large dog side and the small dog size are very large and spacious filled with wood chips, benches, chairs and donated balls and toys for the dogs. You can tell there are people that come on the regular and hang out to chat with one another which I am sure they do it socially for themselves just as much as the dogs, but who can blame them. When you find good people you stick with them. I look forward to coming at different times to feel out the different people, dogs and which are the more popular times versus the more laid back times. Oh, and the view the park has is so beautiful. You could just stand there and stare out at the beautiful land and rolling hills. read more

A classic dog park with a big dog area & small dog area. Both sides have pretty views of the surrounding neighborhood & countryside. I stopped here with my dog as a rest break during a road trip & would stop here again. It's conveniently located not far from the highway, which makes it a good pit stop. The visitors to this dog park are friendly residents & they have very friendly pups. 10/10 recommend read more

What a great park for the pups to play at! Super clean, well maintained, nice seating areas. We were in town for the weekend and Max loved this new park experience. I wish the parks in LA were maintained like this one is. Love that there is seating that is shaded and for pups that like to take a dip there's a little pool for them. read more

Love this dog park. It is one exit away from my house and my little dog Lucy loves it. There is a big dog side and a little dog side. The people are pretty cool and I have never had an issue with aggressive dogs. The areas are large with bark ground cover and securely fenced. Park is kept up very nicely by a group of dedicated volunteers and funded by donations. The cost is a $1 a visit or you can do a membership for $25 a year (for the whole family). The best dog park I've been to in this county!!! read more

What a clean park. Tons of goodies to use to play with your dog. Both big dog and small dog fenced sections which people seem to be really good at respecting. Covered seating on both sides, lots of water dishes and faucets. Everyone picks up after their dogs. There is always someone friendly and willing to chat if you are looking for a fellow dog owner to converse with. Make sure, if you ar not a member to please donate $1 when you visit to help maintain this place as it's all local money that keeps this place up. read more

I've been to this park about 4 times and it is always a good time. It is surrounded by gorgeous views of the hills, and the drive their is a lovely road winding past vineyards and green fields. The park is full of wood chips instead of grass, but that doesn't bother the dogs and it is better than dirt. It has plenty of seating, shade, water, tennis balls, other dogs, parking and pleasantries with other visitors. Great dog park. Make sure you leave a donation though! Areas like that don't come free. read more

This park has everything a dog lover could want. Tons of wood chips, plenty of shade, a small doggy pool,, tennis rackets and balls, etc. It's split into two with one side for large dogs and the other for small dogs. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the dog owners that frequent this park. Unfortunately, the crowd that seems to frequent this park, to put it bluntly, is rather snobby in comparison to other local dog parks. I have two Boxer/American Bulldogs. A female and a male and both are spayed/neutered. I've had multiple rude remarks simply because they look like Pitbulls. I've had multiple people scoop up their dogs in a terrified manner upon letting my dogs in the dog park. I've had people leave with their dogs as soon as I let my dogs through the gate. Mind you, my dogs have never been aggressive in any sense of the word. They are sweet and lovable and goofy and anyone with half a brain (and the most basic experience with dogs) can see that. I do not appreciate the aggressive stares of the "holier than thou" Templeton folk and my partner and I were both born and raised in Templeton. We've stopped bringing our dogs there completely because of the lack of warmth we've received from other visitors. Instead, we take our pups to the Paso Dog Park. It has all of the same amenities and none of the snobby crowd. We've never had anyone so much as bat an eyelash in distain towards our bully mixes. Interestingly enough, Paso people go out of their way to play with our lovable bullys(: read more

My dog and I both enjoy this park! We visit once or twice a week in the morning. The dogs are all very friendly and the owners are proactive at stopping bad behavior and cleaning up after their dogs. There are plenty of benches/picnic tables, water stations for the pups, and poop bags are provided. The runs are very large too! The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because of the wood chips. My dog doesn't have a problem playing in the wood chips but I can't help but worry about her paws getting injured. Better than dirt though! read more

Having tried other dog parks around the county, I have to say that this park is a cut above. Well maintained and spacious, even furnishing balls and rackets to hit them with, this place is cool! Partially shaded picnic tables for the two legged friends, a part for small and for larger dogs, lots of trees and complete with a fire hydrant for that extra acid test. for only a buck a trip for 25 for an annual tag, it is a real bargain!! Enjoy, Our dog loves it! read more

This is the best dog park I've been to on the Central Coast! This park is fully enclosed and has a good sized small dog are and a large big dog area. The park is flat which is great for both dogs and owners alike. There are picnic tables in both sides with shade and trees that provide shade as well. Perfect amount of wood chips, and a fun water tub if your pup wants to jump in and cool off! There is a drinking fountain for owners and they've done some upgrades to the park recently to improve safety for dogs and owners. The people who volunteer here to a great job at keeping the park clean. For $1 a day or $25 annual membership, its worth it not only for your dog but to help support a healthy option for dogs on the central coast. This park is located in a clean and safe upscale neighborhood to boot, so I feel safe going alone with my pup. The only thing I wish this park had that it doesn't is lights to accommodate people who work different hours and to maximize usage time during the winter months. read more

Nice, large dog park off of Vineyard Drive (only a few minutes from the 101 freeway). Our dog enjoys Frisbee, so when catching, the wood chips that over the ground are bit cumbersome. I think there are wood chips rather than grass b/c it is not only easier upkeep but easier to cleanup after your dog. There are two areas which share a common fence (one for larger dogs, one for smaller dogs). Picnic table on each side also under some shade. Plenty of parking. read more

My English Cocker Spaniel needed a rigorous run and play before wine tasting all day. Wet, rainy, and cold are the preferred climate and today's storm suited Molly fine. The surface is nearly all bark and chips. Not much mud. Great dog park. read more

Nice, clean and well stocked dog park. I must say the same type people that allow their children to be bullies are the same type that allow their dogs to exhibit similar behavior. If the tables are turned then it's just wrong, interesting statement on human behavior. Big&clean park. We were the only ones there (around 2pm on a weekday), which was good for our fetchy Aussie.

Great dog park in a beautiful neighborhood I really enjoyed it love the fact there is one witching a bike ride from me

The best dog park I've been too and I've been using it for a few years now. Lots of space for the dogs to run and benches to hang out at while your dogs play. Everyone I've come across is very friendly and nice and I've never had any incidences with owners or their dogs. Highly recommend this park! The Sherwood park is similar to this one, but I love the location of Vineyard park read more
