    'Tis the season to be jolly all year long at December 25th! This is the perfect place for people…read morewho are so fanatical about Christmas they just can't wait a whole year for the next one. (Best avoided if you can't wait for the season of goodwill to be over!) Filled with everything you could ever want for a perfect Christmas - tree decorations, advent calendars, cards and lights - December 25th is a fun place to visit, especially if you're looking to take away a souvenir of the city. The best time of year to shop is in January - when they hold their annual sales. You may not want to think about Christmas by that point, but it's the perfect time to buy a bargain. I'm not entirely sure how they keep going all year long as I've sadly never seen the shop with more than a couple of customers in at a time. But it's definitely worth a visit if you're in need of some festive spirit.

As if Christmas isn't overrated enough, this sort of place reminds you that it's not so very far away that you'll have to put up with the family for another few days of absolute tedium. Inside, there's all the Christmas claptrap you can imagine, but unless it's December already, you really should be questioning why the hell your life isn't fulfilling enough to avoid buying a few odds and ends ahead of time. Humbug.
