The breakfast's were unbelievable, especially the Polenta which rivaled my very Italian grand mother's. Ideal choice if interested in the local wineries. Unsuitable for young children due to some fragile items in the open areas. Tip: you can also get to Greenport from NYC via bus or LIRR train (three trains a day from Penn Station, $25 one-way, peak fare, 3 hour trip) or take the Cross Sound Ferry from New London CT, which we used to avoid bridge and LIE congestion, for about $67 with car and two adults.

Everybody we ran into was very friendly. Our keys and a note were waiting for us when we entered the house and we had a note under our door in the morning with where to leave them. We actually never saw Joan at all during our stay but that was fine. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. My only knock was that the back door was left unlocked. My wife and I tried but could not get the door to lock. I hope it's not left like this every night as that seems like a security hazard. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, we had a great stay.

The Coffeys made us feel like we were at home. The three-course breakfast was fabulous, the grounds were stunning, and the room was so romantic. The place is just stunning. It's like coming home in a way, with a feeling of comfort and familiarity and is the best place to completely unwind, relax, and de-stress for a night or more. Just down the street is a convenience stoor that sells great microbrews for you to grab and bring back to the patio with a book. Breakfast the next morning was devine, made with local maple syrup and yogurt. The family that shares the duty of upkeep were all wonderful people and chatted with us unobtrusively (though we were happy to talk with them as they are lovely and interesting people). This is the perfect base for day hikes in the White Mountains. Plenty of awesome things to see and discover super close to here.

Our server was welcoming and knowledgeable on their wines and even offered some suggestions based on some of our party's tastes. Learned that the vineyard has two rooms one can stay in which is something we look forward to in the fall. Wines were very good and I'd definitely e back in the fall not just for the wine but to experience a stay in their B&B.

Steve had great recommendations for places to eat in Greenport and other areas nearby. The breakfasts Stacey cooked were scrumptious; I particularly enjoyed the fluffy almond croissant and the avocado toast with an egg on top. Our room was clean and cozy and the view of the woods in the back was nice. Parking was very easy. There's a common room with a good selection of board games and books to read though we didn't get a chance to use it. There's also some comfy Adirondack chairs outside in a grassy area for lounging. The inn is also within walking distance of several wineries (just be careful crossing the road) including Lenz, Raphael, and Pindar. Don't know when I'll be back in the North Fork area but I'd stay at Harvest Inn again!

The owners, Dan and Alane, are gracious and warm, lovely and kind. As NYC transplants who have an appreciation for locals and visitors, they are informed about all things North Fork. They are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcomed! The rates are competitive, but the stay is even more worthwhile than we had initially imagined. The Guest House is the epitome of a comfortable country home -- a beautiful dream, to say the least. I ran my hands along the different textural walls and refinished drawer chests. With modern yet rustic aesthetics, the house is bright and breezy and clean. Our queen-size bed is a cloud! We slept so well on both nights and woke up to wholesome and delicious country breakfasts each morning. It is the perfect stay for a weekend getaway. If we were to visit the Long Island wine region again, we will definitely return to the Guest House.

It reminded me of those historic houses that one can tour except you get to stay here. Breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend Wells House especially if its an occasion. Because it feels like one, not just a hotel stay.
