The best cheese/deli selection in Southern Ontario!!! I have yet to find a better place that carry better selection of deli and cheese than Vincenzo's!! Those famous grocery stores (Pusateri's, McEvan in Toronto) do not even come close! The reason I like this place so much is, i can always get a few slices of different things and the staff never give me a face!!!!! Whereas in other places, 4 slices of this and 4 slices of that will probably get some insults immediately. I like to just walk around the store and look at all the cool food items (think black and white bow tie pasta). It's a lot of fun to spend a bit of money to try out some cool snacks or new cooking materials. My only complaint is that the desserts are too sweet. Some people might like it but I appreciate more subtle flavors. read more

Vincenzo's is not your ordinary supermarket and I would say it is catered to a more exclusive market. As a student on a budget, I found that the deli selection was at times more affordable than if I went to Valu-Mart down the street. They also have a wide selection of cheese and bread. One of my favourite places in the area. So much to love! It can be pricey but I have managed to do affordable grocery shopping there also; not to mention I love their 5$ sandwiches at the deli, so delicious! I also go there to find a variety of unique items to add to gifts, such their teas or their treats. I even get my sister a different bottle of hot sauces for every occasion because they have a ton of awesome ones to try out! The BEST Sandwiches in Southern Ontario!! I was introduced to Vincenzo's by a friend who took me here for a fresh deli sandwich and let me tell you, their sandwiches DO NOT disappoint. Picture an Italian panini, with fresh brie, a generous serving of shaved roasted red pepper chicken, artichoke caponata, olive taponade, pesto mayo, fresh crunchy cucumbers, and ripe flavourful bruchetta. These sandwiches are the best I have ever eaten! You get to choose your bread, meat, cheese, toppings and sauces. All of their ingredients are fresh as can be and full of flavour. They have an impressive cheese selection, an impressive deli meat selection, they make a wide assortment of fresh foods like somasas, quiches, pastas, etc. They also sell all the standard things you'd expect to find in an Italian grocer like oils and vinegars, and crackers, fresh bread, pasta, and sauces. I don't think I can recommend this place highly enough. If you haven't checked this place out already, I recommend you get off your chair, and head over immediately!! Love love loveee. My heart just fluttered the moment I stepped into Vincenzo's. Pasta, cheese, gelato, sandwiches, fresh produce... The list can go on. This small grocery store is crowded and is packed with lots of food and ingredients that I thought I would never be able to get in Waterloo. The variety of pasta they carried was impressive as well. I got a fair amount of seafood agnolotti pasta for a good price. The selection is also huge for their dried pasta as well. Squid ink pasta anyone? I would say that it similar to Toronto's Pusateri's but with fairer prices. read more

Absolutely wonderful grocery store, head and shoulders above the standard average of no-name chain stores run by the massive conglomerate of Loblaws. Vincenzo's has great groceries, fresh and exotic, and had an excellent caviar selection to boot. It's a positive experience made better by the friendliness and attentiveness of their employees and prices are quite reasonable. Only one downside is that the place is usually, understandably, packed full. read more

Vincenzo's was a shock to me. I went to my hometown for some family time and was taken to this fantastically stocked fine foods store. I am always on the hunt for specific items, my current obsession is Ligurian olive oil, a sometimes difficult to find item. Vincenzo's had three brands in a range of prices. Quite amazing. They have a large prepared foods and bakery area, with a sandwich bar I would recommend highly. I would dare to say that Vincenzo's is better than 98% of the fine foods stores in Toronto. read more

Been here a few times since (finally) discovering it a few months ago and I like it. Great selection of European foods, spices, oils and treats. Best place in KW to buy some Pancetta or Procusitto or other Italian deli and cheeses. Love their olives, good prices on oils and pasta of all sorts. Staff are a mix of efficient and nice to slow and full of glares, but what are you going to do? Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to pickup some authentic European products. I am always really happy when I visit, they usually have random things like salmon roe and sanganaki cheese, or like 10 different kind of salts. They have grass fed beef, but it's not always the freshest, really depends on your luck. But when they have a meat sale, then usually it's much fresher. read more

I have been grabbing meals from Vincenzo's hot counter for a couple of years now to serve small meetings and coworkers pulling extra long shifts. Very crowded place, literally. Many shoppers and the place is relatively small compared to how many products they carry..I love their sandwiches :) speaking of their sweet treats, they have 14 different flavours in macaron which is actually a lot of choices. Some of them taste quite complex and layered and intense which is an impressive surprise. But they are really really sweet as well that I need a lot of coffee to balance the sugary. read more
