My go-to for a quick take-away lunch. They offer a great gluten-free pizza, fresh sushi, awesome sandwiches. Plus, I always stop by if I'm having company over to get stocked up on amazing cheeses and sweets. Make sure you try the Artichoke Caponata. Awesome! read more

I find Vincenzo's pretty cramped and disorganized but the food is lit, so really who cares? Probably the best and only place in Waterloo to get more authentic Italian products. Fresh fruits and veggies are nothing special but the variety of the stock of products and specialty items makes Vincenzo's among the best specialty grocers in Waterloo. It's first of mind when it comes to specialty foods. They often do tastings in-store which is always nice, and they're one of the only places to get cannoli in Waterloo (if I'm not mistaken). I haven't tried their lunch options but have only heard good things. read more

Vincenzo's always has an awesome selection of quick meals/sandwiches, cafe baked goods and drinks, and groceries. The food is great, but its very cramped, busy, and difficult to navigate. If you have never been, definitely do not go for the first time over lunch hour! This isn't a place you go to to browse - the aisles are way too confusing if you don't know exactly what you're looking for grocery-wise. This place it all!!! The best assortment of dips including an incredible Asiago dip...too die for! They also have exotic cooking pans and utensils need for international cooking that are hard to find elsewhere. Plenty of parking and a few bistro tables if you want to eat there...There are no words for the cakes and pastries....They also carry specialty groceries. read more

I used to go here every so often while I was in school and I loved it. They have everything you could ever be in the mood to eat, plus lots of international foods that you can't often find in regular grocery stores. They're gelato is really good (I like the raspberry) and the bakery section is always a great place to stop. I've heard great things about the meat and seafood counter but never stopped there myself. Have ordered a few sandwiches from here, always been fantastic and fresh. Just got one that was so stale I ended up throwing most of it in the trash. I thought this was out of the norm, so I decided to email the address I found on their main page. The response I got was pretty ridiculous and I won't be returning anytime soon. "Sorry about that. Bread is ALWAYS baked fresh we sell one thousand sandwiches every day. Have a nice day.". So aside from dismissing my complaint entirely in a very snotty fashion they also felt the need to exaggerate the number of sandwiches they make as if to substantiate their claim. They then said something about it being winter and bread being "harder" in the winter, so just pure nonsense. Excellent meat quality and selection! Healthy food matters to me, and I find organic and pasture-raised meats at Vincenzo's, including bones, which make great broth. Prices are reasonable for a specialty shop. read more

I've never been in an establishment with such rude patrons. Seems people go there to show off that they have money. Produce section isn't good, not a suitable place for vegetarians/vegans. Most items are a few dollars more than you'd find elsewhere. The store is all done for looks and presentation, take your money somewhere that cares a little. read more

The customer service has been really poor lately. From some checkout cashiers insisting on giving the receipt to others asking for receipt when you exit even with one bakery item to sloppily made "made to order" items, its just going downhill. Love this place! They have a diverse variety of food and groceries. You can get a custom made personal pizza for $5, sandwiches with your choice of freshly sliced cold cuts for $6, sushi, a hot foods table, salad bar and a delicious pasta bar every Thursday. The pasta bar used to be better I'll admit. Their pasta was cheaper and used to be filled to the brim of the container. Now it's only about half full but I'd still recommend it. Cost of everything has gone up so it's only understandable that their prices would too. It's still as delicious! This place also has a big selection of cakes, cheeses and cured meats, perfect for a charcuterie board. They sell lots of different European products and a million variations of a product you can choose from. Maybe not a million, but a lot. You can choose from a wide variety or mustards, oils, chocolates, rice, tea and coffee just to name a few. Definitely check Vincenzo's out if you've never been! read more

Located in the heart of Uptown Waterloo, Vincenzo's is a local favorite! They have all sorts of high quality ingredients for making a delicious italian feast! I have been to a few different italian markets, but Vincenzo's has a much larger, more quality selection. You can also buy ready made food such as lasagna and meatballs, among other things, as well as made to order sandwiches. I had a smoked salmon sandwich (as another yelper had suggested) on panini bread with pesto, onions, cucumbers, and some green pepper. It tasted very fresh and delicious. They also have a cafe inside as well. Definitely go here if you are in town! read more

If anyone tells you it's overpriced or not that great, you should no longer trust them! There is NOTHING like it around here. Toronto doesn't even have as good a selection of Olive Oils alone! Vincenzo's is the best grocery store in Waterloo. It's not the kind of place where you can go and get everything you need, but it's the place to go if you need the highest quality foods, especially meats, fish, cheese, veggies, etc. I've had sandwiches at the cafe a few times and they were also excellent. As pointed out by many reviews, Vincenzo's is likely Waterloo's finest quality grocery store. Their fresh pasta and sauces are amazing, as well as their prepared foods. They also have a great selection of ingredients other grocery stores in the area do not carry. Be warned: do not go during lunch hour...it's always extremely busy and congested. read more

I've been going here for lunch about 3 - 5 days a week for years now. The prepared foods are quick, fresh and delicious. I also love the huge assortment of cheeses and rare European snacks.
