The restaurant is underneath with a look view of part of the vineyard. We asked and it's only been open a couple of years. I had Shakshuka and have to say it was as good if not better than anything I've had in the middle east! I'm sure most people that eat here, are staying at the hotel. The waitress was surprised when we said we weren't. Don't let that stop you, it's a beautiful setting with great food. Helpful hint: Wine tastings don't start until noon. It was an exceptionally brilliant idea. The place has a phenomenal staff (especially Opie). They were welcoming, personable and knowledgeable. They had a deep experience with wines that helped guide the experienced wine drinkers and an empathetic approach to those (aka, me) who were clueless. I (ahm, the inexperienced) were never intimidated or given the snob treatment. However, my brother who knows his way around a bottle or two (or at least actively tries to fake it) was given the appropriate insights to what he was drinking. Across the ten of us, we tried multiple different wines and they were all well liked. Many made their way home as people had to take some bottles home. You can tell that I'm an amateur because the whole "flight of wines" thing was new to me. It was brilliant to sample many different varieties in what I would call shooters to the great disappointment of my brother. Yeah, I told you he acted like he knew what he was doing. They also gave us a brief tour of the beautiful grounds as well as a look "behind the scenes". I would really recommend visiting in the fall and maybe seeing things in action. The drive is a bit "way back there", but I highly encourage you to take the trip. It's definitely worth it.

This place is definitely a 'farm' winery - they grow nearly all the fruit that they use in their wines. And the lineup is impressive - over a dozen distinctive fruit wines were available. Apparently even tropical fruit was grown here, which I found quite shocking. Since I have a palate for spice, I focused on an assortment of jalapeno wines, plus some apple and blueberry concoctions. The jalapeno wines were too spicy even for me, but I did walk away with an apple wine that tasted just like apple pie. As much as I wanted to love it, "Dragon's Fire" was just too much for me to handle!

This was my first winery tour and I loved it the hostess was amazing so sweet and knowledgeable. They had a winery greeting dog at the door and he was just so big and sweet. The wine was delicious ! She explained their vineyard and their wines. They have a large variety of wines for everyone's taste. I tasted the dry red wines. They were the Cabernet Franc, Cynthiana, and Leon Millot. The Cabernet Franc and the Leon Millot were my favorite so I bought a bottle of each. This is a must stop for wine lovers.
