a growl of beer and a shot glass
    Carol C.

Passing through this quaint little town we found this gem of a place. First we noticed how great the parking was and how accessible it was to get to. It's located right next to a beautiful park. The place is small but perfect to hang around and talk. Many beer choices to try. The boyfriend had a flight of beers and grabbed a growler to go. We shared the cheese curds and pretzels. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Sitting there for just a short time you could tell this place had regulars and it's no wonder why. If I lived here I would be here a lot too.

We stopped here on our road trip to AZ looking for craft beer and dinner ... this place does not disappoint! The pig and fig flathead made with naan is DELICIOUS!!! The beer selection is vast and they're more than willing to give tastings to make sure you get what you like!! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable!

The always interesting Beer Flight. Tell the to sunrise you.

Go here!! Harness your inner beer love, grab some friends and enjoy Vincennes Brewing Co. This type of place fits right into the culture of Historic Vincennes. Right downtown overlooking the River Walk, beside a National Monument, and in Indiana's first Main Street. Get a flight of brews and a plate of cheese and bread, kick back and stay for awhile. The atmosphere is perfect with No TV's or loud music, just you and your beer and chatting it up with the crew. Salut

Great selection of brews and booze. Food is decent. But, I'd eat before, if you can. Flatbread Pizza taste more like Sponge Cake, than the cracker-like crust it should have.

Great bar with a great selection of craft beers. Super friendly staff and good food. It is in a great old building. I highly recommend it.

"If you tap it they will come." "Is this heaven?"…read more"No, it's Evansville." Ok, not heaven for sure but pretty darn good beer and friendly people. Well, this is brewery #303 for me. I almost didn't find it because apparently as SWPFTD would say I "wasn't looking hard enough". I'm a trained observer don't ya know! Anyway, I did find it obviously. It's a cute little storefront that's a pretty good size once you get in the door. There were about six people seated at the bar when I walked in. It's pretty clearly a good locals hangout. Everyone was super friendly and one of the gents at the bar ordered shots and offered me one. Well ok! A shot of tequila with a pineapple juice chaser is new to me but pretty damn good! I went with four beers tasters: Darkness on the Edge of Town milf. Oops I mean mild! The mild was that with a nice malty flavor. Arriba Arriba deep south lager is pretty non-offensive. Easy drinking and great in a hot day like today. Don Gets to Name It Amber had a flavor to it that was reminiscent of allspice. I'm not sure it was an addition or if it was the yeast. It was pretty pronounced though. SWPFTD would be pleased with this one. Holdens Hangover rye IPA was a good IPA. I got the rye flavor out of it which I like. I enjoyed the beers and the people at this little brewery. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

My husband and brother enjoyed the beer they tried. I enjoyed the atmosphere. They have popcorn and games to play. They have a cat who seems to love there. It's kid and dog friendly and just an overall nice place to spend an afternoon. The bartender was very friendly as were the other patrons. I was so happy to see this place and the memorabilia throughout. Highly recommend it to anyone. They have an outdoor patio that I hear is packed in the summer! We'll definitely return!

I'm not a guy who has a sophisticated palate that tastes notes of Madagascaran pine nuts or hints of organic apricot. I just like the beer or I don't. Afterburner is veteran owned local brewery. They don't have food inside but there was a food truck parked out front. The facility is rather large but their beer menu is pretty small. When I went they had 5 beers, 2 ciders and 3 wines on tap. There is also a fenced in area outside with picnic tables so you can let your pets or children off their leash. I had a standard 4 beer flight (just samples here so same thing without the board). I got their Nunquam Fractum (wheat beer), Unscoreable (pale Ale), Midnight (double Imperial Stout) and Mach (hazy IPA). All were solid but the Mach was great. My only criticism is I'd like to see a few more beer styles on the menu and I wish their sticker had their name and location (I'm a nerd with a brewery sticker wall in the garage). Other than those little critiques, it's an awesome place

Brewery #283 Santa…read moreClaus Brewery needs a lot of help. I pulled up to the parking lot and wasn't sure where the entrance was because there was a worker loading supplies in through the only door I saw. I walked to the side and saw a set of stairs to a second floor door and thought this can't be it. So I walked back and asked the employee where the entrance was and he shook his head in disgust and pointed to the door that he had blocked with supplies. I climbed over all the stuff that the extra from Deliverance loaded here and proceeded inside. Inside was that of a VFW hall or Lions Club lodge, it lacked any kind of style. I really don't care about that part per se as long as the beer is good. They had a metal rack with merchandise just laying around in a mess that rivaled a Target at the end of a Black Friday sale. The bar was a disorganized mess too and the beer was listed on a dry erase board. They only had a few and it wasn't clear if they brewed them all or not. I mean the Words "Cider" doesn't give me a lot of information. I got my flight and the beer was ok but nothing special. I learned their beer is actually brewed at St Benedict's Beer Works in Ferdinand Indiana. I don't know how the food is but from a simple atmosphere and organizational standpoint, they could improve this place a lot with just a little work

That ranch sauce tasted homemade! I make really good ranch at home. The only thing I would ask the next time I order it- and I will soon- is to either not cut the quesadilla at all, or only cut it in half. I didn't want to wait for it to get cold and the two middle pieces out of the four were hard to contain. I still ate every last drop. I also had a glass of "Nun Dragon" beer that they make. -YES- ! I liked it VERY much. Not completely sure what the ingredients are, but it had a slight coffee flavor that I really enjoyed. I wish YELP could have had a gathering here. The location is fairly new , and the brew offerings are always challenging in a great way. That said- the food menu is changing not only to include the steak Quesadilla. Hey YELP Elite members, let's go here !
