"If you tap it they will come." "Is this heaven?"…read more"No, it's Evansville." Ok, not heaven for sure but pretty darn good beer and friendly people. Well, this is brewery #303 for me. I almost didn't find it because apparently as SWPFTD would say I "wasn't looking hard enough". I'm a trained observer don't ya know! Anyway, I did find it obviously. It's a cute little storefront that's a pretty good size once you get in the door. There were about six people seated at the bar when I walked in. It's pretty clearly a good locals hangout. Everyone was super friendly and one of the gents at the bar ordered shots and offered me one. Well ok! A shot of tequila with a pineapple juice chaser is new to me but pretty damn good! I went with four beers tasters: Darkness on the Edge of Town milf. Oops I mean mild! The mild was that with a nice malty flavor. Arriba Arriba deep south lager is pretty non-offensive. Easy drinking and great in a hot day like today. Don Gets to Name It Amber had a flavor to it that was reminiscent of allspice. I'm not sure it was an addition or if it was the yeast. It was pretty pronounced though. SWPFTD would be pleased with this one. Holdens Hangover rye IPA was a good IPA. I got the rye flavor out of it which I like. I enjoyed the beers and the people at this little brewery. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

A much needed revitalization plan for businesses could make the area a hot spot for local upscale people wanting a nice evening out. 2) the brewing companies look or ambiance was definitely taken into consideration when the owner designed it. For example, it does not look like the dive bar in the corner. Well done! 3) the brewery had five of their own brews available and this is the only reason I wanted to check it out. The stout was my favorite, not that any of them were bad. However, all the beers, and we sampled all of the home brews, tasted thin. Thin meaning they lacked flavor- I felt like I had watered down beer. In addition, I kept tasting metal- there was a metallic taste to four of five of the beers I tasted. This is a common issue I have noticed with many start up microbreweries that the owners will need to figure out in the brewing process. Light beers such as Coors light and Bud light are also watered down beers, in my opinion, but the flavor of the beer still comes through. I'm not a fan of Coors light and Bud light but I find a light beer less heavy and, at times, satisfying as a staple day-to-day beer. I prefer a craft beer for its bolder flavors as they are much more enjoyable. Overall, I think this brewery needs to perfect their formulas but I am hopeful they will figure it out. I'll return in a few years to see if they stepped up their game. Nonetheless, I appreciate the owners enthusiasm to deliver a unique set craft beers. I forgot to mention the service was vert good! I hope this doesn't come across too harsh and the feedback is considered constructive!! Good luck!
