The only dentist I trust with my teeth. He'll ask questions; and doesn't assume. He changes his gloves each time he works with new patient (some dentists don't do this). He'll check in during operation to make sure you are comfortable. The best part is that he'll find a solution that works. Holding teeth hostage! We've gone 3-4 times each year for like almost 3 years, we have someone who got braces because their parent when she wasn't old enough to agree to anything and that parent hasn't paid the balance that was 6 years ago, she's an adult now and they keep promising removal for no cost to her, they've gotten us to come so many times promising removal then to switch the story once we're at the location, business is just shady and they really are just holding her teeth hostage other dentist won't touch her teeth without removal of the braces and no one else wants to remove them and they suggest the original place, it's really frustrating I understand it should be paid but it's already in collections for the parent, it's fully the parents responsibility read more

Awful orthodontist do not go here. My sister wanted her braces removed because her parent was no longer paying for the procedures and the Ortho refused to remove them until we paid the bill in full. ( She's a minor and never signed papers) and they apologized and asked us to come in for a consult to remove them and they tried to charge us $500 for removal. I started coming to Dr. Patel when I was around 16. I had a severe infection in my mouth and he helped clear the discomfort I had been having for months. I went back in the last year to get a cleaning and get a consultation on braces and Wendy was so very helpful and answered any questions I had throughly. Please don't allow this dentist to work on you. I went in his office for teeth cleaning, he told me I needed a crown on tooth, said it has Crack into it and filling pulling away from tooth. I said ok. I got home that night my tooth was hurting, like nerve was exposed. They said give it time, 10 days later I was told I need root canal. Still in pain I had no choice. I was charged for root canal which I thought was wrong. If dentist admitted he hit a nerve, I could of had root canal right away. read more

My wife and I've been here on three separate occasions. Only one of which was a positive experience. The first two visits were with Dr. Patel. First experience was...new...to us so a little uncomfortable. On the second visit he corrected minor adjustments so that was an A+ but when we came in for a root canal today, my wife had an utterly painful experience, having being numbed up but shot the needle at to high of an entry having her whole half of her face numbed from upper gum to eye socket and not essentially where the numbing argent needed to be. After all was done, my wife has a whole in her lip that just mysteriously appeared, and cotton left in, (I asked if she was bleeding, dr told me no she's fine) unsure when we can pull it out safely. We get home and remove the cotton to find a huge gash in her gum line!!! Seriously WTF! I instantly call and cancel any follow up appointments. I find out that Dr. Patel is on vacation and this temporary fill in crackpot called dr Gilbert fucked up and couldn't even finish her root canal. If you can fix this Dr. Patel, it'd be the only way to change this review. read more

We were vacationing in Idyllwild for my mother in law's 65th birthday and on her birthday a crown popped off. We have a regular dentist near home, but we searched frantically for an office to help put the crown back on until we could get to our regular dentist this week. Dr. Patel's office was so kind on the phone, allowing us to get in, late on a Friday afternoon. We called at 4pm and they closed at 6pm. When we got to the office, everyone was very welcoming and kind. Dr. Patel seated the crown back for my mother in law, enough for her to get through the weekend to make it to her regular dentist. I've been seeing Dr Patel for 3 years, just for routine exams. I came in one time last year for reoccurring pain and soreness on my bottom left molar which had a root canal done at another facility. After 6 years of pain on and off Dr. Patel figured out that my crown was too high. He went ahead a filed it down, that fixed the pain I was having for so long. Been waiting 4 an appointment 4 a month. Set an appointment with them. Rearranged my schedule for a specific day. Then on night before the appointment they call me and cancel appointment till me to.reschedule. if I did that a lot of places would charge me for not giving enough notice. Let me start by saying that as embarrassing as it can be I get terrified when it comes to going to the Dentist! I had a bad experience in my teenage years and that's all it took for me to be scared of all Dentist, I always have to find someone that is patient with me and understands my situation!! Anyways, 2 weeks I woke up with a toothache and swollen gum, so I searched for a dentist near by me with the best reviews and experience, and Dr. Patel had the best reviews all 5's so I decided to call as soon as they opened and Wendy, was the one who answered and I told her i needed an appointment ASAP, she was able to take me in 1 hour after, which is amazing, I went in and the staff right away welcomed me, and I filled out the paperwork which isn't a lot or overwhelming, who wants to fill out papers when in PAIN (not me lol) Fast forward.... I got xrays, met Dr Patel he listened to me and explained what was the problem with my tooth, gave me antibiotics, went back 5 days ago, got my treatment which was 3 extractions, i was shaking and the whole time he kept talking to me and explaining what he was doing, calmed me down, numbed me and after 20-25 mins he started the extraction and GUESS WHAT? I did not feel anything!!!!! No pain!! Less than 7-8 mins when he said okay ur done!?? I was like, IM DONE REALLY ?WOWWWWW!! If you're like me then i recommend him! All the staff from receptionists, dental assistants , xray tech, Raquel the Accounting Manager & Dr Patel are amazing and make you feel like family and comfortable! My 20 yr. old crown came off Tuesday night after office hours. I called first thing Wednesday morning and they were able to give me an appointment for 11:30am. Had been a while since my last exam so they did a new st of x-rays and an examination while I was there. Yissel was very efficient at her job of taking the x-rays and preping the crown for a re-cement. Less than an hour later I was on my way with my crown repaired and a cleaning scheduled. Very friendly staff, finally had a chance to stop by. My filling fell or broke of so that's what brought me in. Initial visit full X-ray and light cleaning. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 stars is because they forgot about me twice. I waited in the lobby for almost an hour to see this lady that was supposed to go over my treatment but she never came out and after an hour I went to the main desk to tell them I had to go back to work and the reception lady said they would call me instead, that was Wednesday and today is Sunday and still no call. Shopping around for a dentist I came across Hemet Family Dentist, Dr. Vimal Patel,DDS, after the standard X-ray and evaluation I asked for order of procedures then for pricing on each. 1st Procedure was a tooth removal.(covered by Denti-cal) 2nd Was a deep cleaning, this treatment was estimated @ $1,010.00, The root canals with crowns @ around 2,000.00 ea. I needed 3 of those I stopped asking after this. Knowing I could do better I managed to find 4 dentist under $500 to do the deep cleaning job, The one I was interested in was just $60 a Quad. I called up Patel informed them of the dentist and gave them an opportunity to price match or at least make an attempt and if not if they could send my X-rays to "Sunshine Dental Care"_239 N Sanderson Ave, Ste C-2 Hemet, CA (951) 925-1223 to Nicole so she could schedule me. I was told I had to wait for an approval and that someone would get back to me within a half hr. or so...after almost 2hrs. that person called and refused to send any X-ray info. unless I was willing to pay them $35.00.(Law: Your health care provider must provide copies of the records for not more than $.25 per page, or $.50 per page for records) http://www.calpatientguide.org/iii.html I am filing a complaint with the Dental Board of California http://www.dbc.ca.gov/ HIPAA violation in accordance to California Health and Safety Code § 123110, refusing to provide copies at a reasonable fee, but what if I want the originals which were paid for thru Denti-cal? Dr. Vimal Patel is amazing! My 2 front teeth had a crack running through the middle of my teeth. I'm guessing it's due to numerous pregnancies. Anyway, he said they would have to be capped or I would run the risk of them eventually just cracking. I believe him because I noticed them prior to him saying anything and had done some research. I was extremely nervous about the procedure, but he did an amazing job. He is always very warm every visit and during the procedure he kept making sure I was comfortable and felt no pain. My front teeth look beautiful now. I also had my wisdom teeth done at his office. The guy that did them was wonderful. My wisdom sockets are now healed and I don't have the problems my wisdom teeth were causing (smelly discharge and reoccurring infections). His front staff are just as great as he is. They are always very welcoming and very, very sweet. His hygienist is just as great. I have been using the wrong type of tooth brush my entire life, which she informed me was causing my gum lines to recede. I had no idea! She also taught me how to floss correctly. I called around different offices because I was having major tooth ache, and the office girls seemed not to care. When I called Dr. Patel's office, the staff was very helpful and understanding and was able to get me in the same day. When i went in the office it was very nice and everything was clean and well organized. When I met the Dr. he was very nice and understood how i was afraid and took the time to listen to my past experiences. He explained in detail and took the time to show me videos of the procedures I needed, no one has ever done that for me before. I felt very comfortable there and I was able to start my treatment immediately. I highly recommend this office to anyone... I didn't even feel the shot!. So I'm almost hesitant to share my new hidden jewel but this doctor definitely deserves an amazing review. Dr. Patel is a loving, caring, people person which is rare these days. My daughter whom is 14 has major anxiety issues. She has a history of actually getting out of the chair in the middle of a procedure and running to the bathroom and locking herself in. I made Dr. Patel well aware of this before her procedure and in his gentle voice he said everything will be ok. To myself I though oh you just wait and see pal...lol. So when my daughter sat in the chair he talked to her about her favorite things and told her to focus on the things that make her happy. I saw an unusual comfort in her that made me glad I have finally found a dentist who could work through my daughters anxiety. When he gave her the shot she didn't even feel it. Doctors who can master that are also a rarity. Through the whole procedure he talked to her and even high fived her a few times to reassure her what a great job she's doing.
